Let's breathe some life back into this thread. According to the latest news—if you can call it that—it looks like Avi Lerner is set to produce the remake, with Bryan Singer stepping in as Director.

"It’s very sad that this is response I get. When the point is if they make this new one with all men and it does well which it will. It might feel that “boys are better”it makes my heart drop. Maybe I could have use different words but I’m allowed to have my feelings just like them."

Is she perhaps looking at the possibility that "guys might be better" through a somewhat sexist lens?
Someone needs to break it to her—the gender split in the new cast is actually 50/50, not "all men" as she claims. Poor thing is desperately uninformed.
It could be good. I might give it a watch.—maybe.
It’s hitting theaters here on December 1st—while folks over in the States have to wait until January 6th.

Actually, they were originally talking about a sixth film—but then things shifted toward a potential TV series instead.

It’s a must-watch, obviously. Word on the street is they’re already eyeing a sixth installment.

It would be a turkey, not a crow. 😁
Why on earth are they obsessed with these unfortunate remakes? I'm rooting for them—mostly because I absolutely adore the original The Crow—but I’m just not feeling optimistic about this one.
"The one pirate everyone actually fears—Blackbeard!" Are they seriously trying this hard to rip off a pirate from the Caribbean? 🤔
And these ships—they look like oversized toys.
Native Americans look like some 60s hippies who found their clothes too restrictive—so they just swapped them for grass and leaves. James Cook comes off as a lost Indiana Jones—it's jarring. The villains, or pirates, dress like a traveling circus—honestly embarrassing. And the big bad, Blackbeard? He looks less like a historical figure and more like Shakespeare tried to design a villain from Flash Gordon's world after meeting Ming. Did I miss anything? Oh, right—in certain details, that pirate ship is a dead ringer for Jack Sparrow's black pearl.
The trailer for part three finally dropped

"I hate, I hate, I hate Mickey Mouse!" 😁
Whenever he's on TV—it’s an absolute must that I watch.

Don't mourn it—there’s plenty of room left for a sequel.
