Yeah, the Federal Reserve charging you three times just for being in the red? I don't get how being in the negative can actually be a good thing. Those two ideas just don't belong in the same sentence.

They should just shut the account down if you can't even stay out of the red, instead of hitting you with a tiny little penalty twice.

So I did a little digging on this Chrve stuff and honestly, that £500 limit looks pretty lame.

Since those idiots over at Chase are too incompetent to support anything other than a handful of specific cards on Apple Pay, is there any way to bypass their nonsense?
Basically, I’d grab a Curve card, add it to Apple Pay, and then set that Chase Visa card as the "source" for the funds.
That way, I can just tap my phone to pay, but the actual charge hits my Visa?
Like if some XY item costs $333, I just whip out my phone, hit Apple Pay via Curve, and boom.
Will the final cost of $333 still show up on that pathetic Chase app? And won't they try to screw me with some predatory 2.5% fee for using "other payment instruments," just like they do when I try to top up Revolut?

Also, what if I'm in a third-world country—like somewhere you can't find an exchange booth, say Thailand?
If I'm paying for something in local currency like THB, will Curve just convert, say, 1000 THB into USD at the interbank rate (let's say it's $67) and just charge my linked Visa card $67 and call it a day? Is there really zero extra cost as long as I stay under that £500 limit every 30 days?

I don't have Curve. What's the deal with their international exchange rates?

Are you kidding me? You can't even top up with a Diners Club card? If you use a Visa premium, those scammers just hit you with a 2.5% fee, but Diners won't even process because it's asking for 16 digits while Diners only has 14!

so now my C drive is totally wiped, which means I don't even have Windows, and I can't get anything new installed because my laptop dies after like 5 minutes tops. It either just shuts itself off or some random solid color screen pops up out of nowhere... what am I supposed to do?

So I start installing Windows, get to the part where I'm supposed to format the C drive, and suddenly the screen just goes totally blue. Not even a real BSOD—just this solid turquoise void with zero text, and then everything just freezes.
I force a shutdown, reboot, and somehow it actually makes it past the formatting stage and starts loading the Windows 7 Files... then BOOM, back to turquoise hell again...
All I need now is a tropical vacation to deal with this stress..
I try a third time and it actually looks like it's working, but then out of nowhere, the whole thing just shuts itself off and restarts...

It's a pirate copy, obviously. 😁 I honestly have no clue which specific rip it is... I just grabbed a DVD and had to choose between Home, Ultimate, or whatever else was there.
But look, I installed it from that exact same disc onto two other different laptops, and everything works perfectly fine on them..

Man, I’ve tried everything—with drivers, without drivers, you name it. I grabbed the driver from the Dell Latitude support page, then went straight to Intel, then even tried Driver Genius, and it's always the exact same garbage. Everything just goes white and the laptop dies on me. What am I supposed to do?

So, this Dell Latitude 24 x is ancient... I think I bought it back in 2009.

Back then, it had some weird gamer edition of Windows 7 installed, even though I never actually played games on it... anyway, that same setup worked perfectly for years.
Then I picked up a new laptop and decided to wipe this old one, do a fresh install of Windows 7, and hand it off to my parents.

So I install this "new" Windows 7 (not the gamer version I used flawlessly for 5 years, but some version a buddy gave me) and everything was fine for the first week or two, but then things started going south.🤷

You turn it on, it works for a few minutes, and suddenly the screen just goes completely white—nothing there. You can't access anything, not even Task Manager.
I have to force a shutdown using the power button, and when I reboot, it hits that "start Windows safely" prompt and runs totally fine. But getting it to work properly on the first try? Forget about it.

This went on for maybe ten days before the white screen started being joined by black screens.😁 Just a black blank screen where the mouse doesn't show up and nothing reacts unless I kill the power.

Now, here's the latest update: sometimes it's a white screen, sometimes black, and now the damn thing just restarts itself out of nowhere.🤷

Once or twice it glitches out, and after that, it might run all day without an issue... but the second you shut it down overnight and try to turn it back on, it's the same old story. It’s basically Russian roulette: will I get a white screen, a black screen, or a random restart???

I have the exact same Windows 7 installation from the same disk on my new laptop and another spare laptop.
And both of those work perfectly fine while this one just refuses to cooperate for no reason. What the hell is wrong with it?😕

Even if you fixed the adblock issues, it wouldn't matter because you can't even get this damn 408 error cleared up after months of failing.
