At the end of the day, if you look at the lap times, Ferrari was only making up ground on the straightaways. Everywhere else on the track, they were getting absolutely smoked, which makes it pretty obvious that the engine is the real issue here. XD
ruggedhawk20 said:If you haven't noticed, Ferrari has been running flawlessly on every single track since the summer break. Right now, they honestly have the best car on the grid. That’s why the Mercedes drivers are sweating bullets—they’re basically just clinging to that 100-point cushion their star driver built up during the first half of the season.
Without that massive points lead, we’d be looking at a 21-year-old world champion right now. But hey, whatever. I guess Charles Leclerc will just spend the next 30 years chasing down titles.
Singapore was pretty much what we expected; that engine really started to show its strength out there. I am a bit more uncertain about how things will play out at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, though.😉
To me, Canada feels the most similar to Russia on the calendar in terms of the track layout and the overall vibe of the circuit. I honestly don't know if Ferrari can really make their mark there. There's just a slim chance they walk away with a win.
That Hyper unit should handle your Nvidia cards just fine... But that Vega 56... now that's a different story. 😉 It’s a rock-solid power supply, but honestly, pairing it with a Vega 56 is cutting it a bit close. That card pulls quite a bit of juice. XD
Edit:
And seriously, don't buy anything without a warranty; I wouldn't touch it if I were you.
Edit:
Are you talking about that Sapphire model for $150? The one without the aftermarket cooler? I wouldn't go for it.
I just spotted some Gigabyte 1660 Ti cards on eBay for about $817 .. if you're interested in that route. Or are you leaning more towards finding the absolute best performance for the lowest possible price?
You’ve got a few different options here depending on what you’re looking for.
I’d say hold off for a bit until someone else weighs in; I'm not exactly a top-tier expert when it comes to these specific cards, and it might be worth having someone with a bit more experience give it a second look just to be safe.
Oh, and check this one out—it actually still has a year and three months of warranty left on it.
But really, the choice is yours. ^^ Personally, I think all of these are solid deals. Just see which one fits your needs best, and again, maybe wait for an expert to confirm, but honestly, you probably won't find anything better than this for $20-$733.
It’s going to be incredibly tough to find anything from the GTX 10 series that comes with more than a six-month warranty. It’s not impossible, but you’re definitely looking for a needle in a haystack.
Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I’d start hunting for a used RTX 2060 priced around $200-$210.$733 That feels like your best bet.
You could also pick up a brand new 1660 Ti for about that much.
But even if you manage to snag a used RTX 2060 for $220, if it still has a solid chunk of warranty left, that’s an absolute steal.
Whether you go with a 1070, a 1660 Ti, or a 2060, all three should land within about 15% of each other in terms of raw performance... so really, everything is in the ballpark. It just all comes down to where you can find the best deal. 😉
As for the power supply, as long as it’s a decent Corsair model, you shouldn't run into any issues. If it's an EVGA 600W, you should be pretty much good to go.
I did a little digging for you, and I think I spotted an EVGA Strix 1070 with about eighteen months of warranty left. And if my memory serves me right, there was an unopened RTX 2060 for $220 that still carries a full two-year warranty. Take a look through the listings and see what clicks with you. There are a few solid offers out there. For $733 you can definitely get a great setup. 😉
Honestly, it might be worth holding off for a bit to see if a solid deal on a used RTX 2060 pops up. 😉 If I were in your shoes, that’s exactly what I’d do—just hang tight until the right price for an RTX 2060 comes along. 😉
I'd say you should either go with a brand new 1660Ti or pick up a used RTX 2060. As long as your FSP unit is a decent, reliable model, you shouldn't run into any issues running those cards.
The issue here isn't actually your graphics card or your power supply. Honestly, you're looking at a motherboard and a socket that have seen way too many years of service. ^^ It’ll be quite the spectacle if that motherboard finally decides to give up the ghost. XD
To be completely honest, I only sat through this movie because of one woman in the cast. As far as the actual plot goes, I couldn't care less about the film itself.😬
Just in case you guys aren't fully up to speed on this whole situation...
The rumor is that Kurt wanted to split from Courtney.... and apparently, his plan was to record one more album with Nirvana and then just disappear somewhere with Kristen Pfaff, the bassist for Holea. If I recall correctly, she ended up passing away after being found overdosed in a bathroom.
Then there's this guy in the video, EL Duca, who claims he overheard someone—I think it was Allen Wrench—bragging about how Courtney paid him off to take care of Kurt. Or maybe Courtney offered the money to Duce first, he turned it down, and then Allen stepped up to take the deal. That’s the gist of what he’s saying. They’re all just some folks from out in the sticks near Seattle.... honestly, it reminds me a bit of the rural Midwest.
And of course, you can bet that EL Duca just happened to drop this bombshell in the video by accident.... and then he died in such a freak way just a few days after going public with it. I believe he was hit by a train under some pretty suspicious circumstances right after getting into an argument at his own place, if I'm remembering right... and I also have a hunch that the guy he was arguing with was none other than Allen.
Moving on, here is my theory; I honestly have my doubts about whether Frances Bean Cobain is actually Kurt's biological daughter.... truthfully, it wouldn't even shock me if she were actually Billy Corgan's. I really wouldn't.
Also, if you check out that documentary about Kurt's death—the one made by the private investigator Courtney hired—you can pick up some really intense details there. 😉
Just finished watching this documentary... what can I even say? It hits you hard. You feel everything—the fear, the demon, the sorrow. It’s raw, and any true nirvana fan will tell you that. Nothing was sugarcoated or twisted...
The legend lived. Now, I know plenty of people will jump in to comment about his addiction or whatever else... But he was just such an honest, unassuming guy...
His songs are absolute perfection, though I suppose anyone who truly understands them isn't exactly having the easiest time in life...
As long as people keep listening to his music and talking about him, he stays alive. He'll live on in our hearts forever...
Thank you for sharing so much of yourself through your music...
1. Just quoting you here: it's pretty funny how you think Chester Bennington was an addict, but somehow Kurt Cobain wasn't. XD
2. "Perfection" is what people call songs written by second graders. Most of those tracks are just two chords at most, paired with a bunch of lyrics that don't actually make any sense together.
That said, I have respect for him based on the interviews I've seen, but that's really where it ends for me. 😉
