You haven't changed one bit.
So, what's the move? Why feel pressured to follow whatever society says you should be doing? Just because there's this modern idea that everyone needs to constantly evolve doesn't mean it's a rule or even a requirement. It's all subjective. You are who you are. If you’re happy with that, why bother changing? Are you just doing it for the sake of change? If you've found what makes you tick and what you actually enjoy, then you're doing fine. Build your own life and just ignore those social expectations.
If you honestly believe that family, career, and money are the absolute peak of what you represent to the universe, then you don't even need personal boundaries. Building your life based on the narrow little box society tries to shove you into—where you just aim for the extremes of their pre-set spectrum—is nothing more than wasting your life. It’s not like there's an easy alternative, but I'm just saying.
That doesn't exist anymore. Modern society has turned into a flock of sheep, making it incredibly easy for anyone to lead thousands of them with any kind of nonsense, as long as there's a bit of flashiness involved. It’s all just an illusion. I’d suggest waking up and standing on your own two feet instead of just wandering the streets bleating along with the rest of the herd.
Hi everyone.
I thought I’d throw out an interesting topic for discussion. Use this thread to share any beliefs or opinions you hold that nobody you know—or perhaps even most people—can agree with, but you refuse to budge on.
I'll kick things off. I have quite a few, but I'll just list a couple.
- I honestly don't think cyberbullying is a real thing; to me, it feels more like an illusion than a tangible issue.
- Bruce Willis is a subpar actor who doesn't belong in Hollywood.
- People aren't born gay.
Today’s music just can't hold a candle to what we had in the 70s, 80s, 90s, or even the early 2000s. It’s honestly rough. Every single genre seems to have taken a dive compared to last year. Take Lady Gaga or Beyoncé, for example—shouldn't they be aiming for that next Whitney Houston level? Or look at these amateurs trying to act like the successors to Michael Jackson, Prince, or Gazeb.
What bothers me even more is how this current generation acts like nothing of value existed before their time.
