You don't even have to wait 24 hours after your period starts. I took my first one on that exact same day! Like, I got my period in the evening, then took it that night...
I'm totally 😉 with you on that! Same thing happened to me. Now, whenever I'm exhausted or running on zero sleep, my eyes look a little funky, and I start worrying everyone can tell I'm wearing contacts. But honestly? People who don't know me haven't noticed a thing... It just takes a little time and patience...
Thomas Roberts9: Hey everyone! Just popping in to say hi! Hope you're all having an awesome day! ✨ kaže: Why do you even care? lol 😕 If it says a certain med cuts down on how well something works, then that’s exactly what it means. And if it says you need extra protection—like, say, using condoms—then yeah, take it at face value! So, check this out: Activated charcoal can totally mess with your birth control. If you aren't looking to deal with an unplanned little surprise next month—definitely use some extra protection! It doesn't mean you're definitely gonna hit some side effects (if that's what you're worried about), just—watch what you're doing! 😁
I’m definitely not the type to freak out, honestly—I'm usually the one keeping everyone else from losing their minds! Ugh, honestly, I’m just low-key stressing about whether I’ll actually get my full portion during the break or what. I know nobody can give me a straight answer or a guarantee, but I just had to vent it out somewhere, even if it sounds totally silly! 😬
Does it actually matter if my birth control pills aren't going to be as effective as they should be? 🤷 I ended up losing one because of some nasty diarrhea and vomiting, and since I’m still recovering, I just took some activated charcoal. The instructions say that if you're on oral contraceptives, you really ought to use backup protection...
Thomas Roberts9 said:Technically, you can approach it that way with any pill, though my own little trick would be to start the next pack a day early so that your cycle arrives sooner, rather than just skipping the gap entirely... or something like that. 😕 Either way, please do use extra protection or just be incredibly careful until you finish the entire pack.😁
Oh yeah, that was my take on starting them earlier!
Ugh, here’s another one with issues—I started right on schedule, but then I spent the entire night dealing with some major stomach trouble, so it feels like I didn't even take my 😢 I thought about taking another dose this morning just to make up for it, but I still felt super nauseous so I didn't Now they're saying I need to be extra careful with protection for the next 7 days and everything should be fine. Honestly though, I think I'll be playing it safe until I finish this whole pack... Sorry, just had to vent...
I don't think missing a day is a big deal; if I remember correctly, the Triquilar instructions say you can actually shorten the break if you want to shift your period by a day
Just a heads-up, if you're sending money to someone with an account at Bank of America, you don't even need to bother with a reference number (like, just typing in the account number 2360000-3212345678 works perfectly when you're paying a friend's checking account or even hitting a loan payment 2360000-712345678).
This is straight from the online banking instructions
But honestly, I once sent money to someone at Chase using online banking without adding any reference info at all, and everything went through totally fine!
I’m using JPMorgan Chase too, and when I sent money to someone else, I didn't have to fill out that phone number field at all... even the instructions say you don't need to!
It doesn't really matter. You just take them the same way every time... you get a 7-day break... because the whole cycle is 28 days (21 pills + 7 days off) Since Oct 25th was a Saturday, that means you start tomorrow
For example, I usually start on a Wednesday. That makes my last pill on a Tuesday, and then I’m back at it again on Wednesday
Wait, isn't today day 8? 🤔 If you start drinking on Monday, that means the last dose is Sunday, and then you take a break Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun... People have already been debating this here... But my instructions say the same thing—you start drinking on the exact same day every week.
I seriously want to put a massive disclaimer at the very top of any women's health section or pill info page just stating that the protection actually lasts through those 7 days of the break! 🤣 People seem to be asking about this constantly, it's like every other day! 😁
At my local clinic, they actually have a full list of all the lab tests they offer posted right on the wall along with the prices. It makes it super easy if you just want to pay out of pocket for whatever you need...
Hey guys! So I was reading that Triquilar might cause a lower tolerance for contact lenses, especially the semi-hard ones... has anyone actually dealt with this? Like, how does it even feel? 🤔
I've been wearing contacts for a few months now while being on the pill, so I honestly can't tell if any discomfort or weirdness I'm feeling is just my eyes adjusting or if it's actually from the hormones. 🤷
swiftviper23 said:What’s the damage on Logest and Triquilar? And honestly—which one do you guys think actually hits the mark better overall? I’m just sitting here with my Yasmin... wondering if I should just quit smoking altogether or finally try some new brands... 🤷
Triquilar is definitely a step up from $15, at least in my book...
edit. Just realized this was already answered lol 😉
