Brian Moore67 said:So, get this—someone just stumbled upon a passport belonging to Adolf Eichmann in some random archive over in the USA! This guy was basically the architect behind the whole "final solution" nightmare—you know, the one who mapped out the entire system of cattle cars, death camps, gas chambers, and crematoriums. Apparently, after the Nazi regime collapsed, Kris handed him a fake passport so he could flee to the USA, where he went totally off the grid until the CIA finally tracked him down and hauled him off to Jerusalem for trial back in '61.
Wait, hold up... is this the same Kris who refused to acknowledge the Red Star, but would happily roll out the red carpet for an Indian red wheel, an Iranian red lion, or a Turkish red crescent? Like, seriously?
Since you usually have a habit of backing up your posts with links, this particular void feels strangely loud. I’m not suggesting you're lying, but there are plenty of ambiguities in this whole narrative:
1) Did the Red Cross actually have the authority to issue passports, or was that—much like today—an exclusive prerogative of the Department of Homeland Security?
2) Which state issued his passport? Does such a thing as a "Red Cross passport" even exist? For what it's worth, if a passport features a red cross on a white background, we're looking at a Swiss passport, not some specialized "Red Cross" document...
3) Was the passport issued under his actual name, or an alias?
4) If the answer to number three is yes, can we know if the clerk behind the counter had any inkling of who they were dealing with?
And so on, and so forth. Until these elementary details are cleared up,
please refrain from leveling heavy artillery at the International Committee of the Red Cross or its conventions and declarations.
Thanks
