Quick question about credit cards in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I was cracking up.
The lady could barely tell the difference between a Visa and a Mastercard.
She actually looked shocked when I told her I needed my Visa card.

Forget about names.
She had a good laugh, mostly.

So I was hanging out at the JPMorgan Chase branch earlier, right? And this older lady working there straight up tells me that you’re always getting hit with interest on this card. 😱

Just imagine—same exact vibe.
I walk into this Citibank branch I’ve been hitting up for three years now.
There’s this girl working there who’s been on the job for a solid year.
It takes her ten whole minutes just to figure out the fee for pulling cash abroad, and I didn't even ask!
Honestly, I felt awkward even bringing it up since she clearly had no idea.
And we're talking about Citibank here, not some random corner store.🤣

Steven Reed said:Both options function as bundled accounts (or rather, 😍 services where you pay a monthly fee to cover everything included in the package 😉)
The distinction lies in the fact that the basic banking assistants don't bundle credit cards—you can have them, sure, but they’ll hit you with an annual fee rather than being part of the flat monthly rate—whereas the premium bundles include one or more credit cards as part of the membership. There is also the matter of overdraft limits: the assistant tops out at $3333, while the premium tiers go up to $30,000 or even higher depending on which tier you pick (and, obviously, based on your salary). Then there's the interest rate on those negative balances—the premium bundles offer much lower rates—plus the number of fee-free transactions, which is higher in the bundles since, well, you're paying more for them. It goes on and on...
@Kimberly Nguyen sorry, I know this post is a bit of a mess, but take a look at the clock (😵) 😍

Someone’s clearly keeping her awake. 😉
Man, such cute little problems.

P.S. For the newbies just joining the thread: Kimberly Nguyen doesn't do the whole "sleeping" thing at this hour: she's busy: doing it: and 😛getting wild:

e, let him have it... he deserves it. 🙂

BTW, what's even the difference?
To me, it's all just the same xxanje, just different packaging.
It's nothing but a total scam wrapped up in fancy names.

I’m totally overthinking this whole thing with my man.
He’s out here insisting he’s got a Zaba fan and that his Zaba fan is basically just a high-end modern payment assistant.
Me? I’m telling him there is a massive difference between a freaking Zaba fan and a modern payment assistant.
So, who’s actually right here, and who’s just talking total nonsense? 😂

Missed it.
Work, home, the local pub... life just happens. 🤣
Had to drag my sorry self over to Citibank since they don't handle my payroll.

Quick question here:

I'm looking at this standard Mastercard from JPMorgan Chase (the kind with the deferred payment option).
Is this basically just a charge card that works the same way an American Express does? Like, zero interest?

We can't even book a hotel online because they don't take American Express.
Some plane tickets too.
Using Amex outside the US sucks.

The customer service rep told me getting an extra card in my sweetheart's name costs slightly less than $167 since we're technically issuing it to someone else.
That way, we both walk around with our own cards—my American Express and his Visa—so I don't have to deal with any of the heavy lifting.
The only catch is that both cards are legally under my name.
Quick question about credit cards in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
The Visa (charge) fees at Chase end up costing me $167, not $50 like I claimed in that other thread.
Is there any charge card out there that isn't an American Express where the sign-up fee is under $167?

P.S. Don't think for a second I'm planning on going into overdraft. 🤣

I stumbled upon this savings account with zero enrollment fees or monthly charges.
Is this actually a solid deal? I already bank with Chase, but honestly, I’m not trying to get hit with any sign-up fees or membership costs.

I’m all for starting this thread (even if most of my coworkers think I'm crazy).
Look, we don't have to act like total Neanderthals or complete degenerates just to prove we aren't stuck-up snobs. We can actually be civilized, decent human beings without making it weird.

Kimberly Nguyen, :recipe: look, if you think this thread shouldn't even be here, go ahead and shut it down, but please don't drag me down with you. 😍

Anyway, I'm looking to grab a credit card.
I've got zero intention of using it to bail myself out of debt or cover overdrafts.
I just need it for booking flights and general online shopping.
I’m not trying to play some complicated game with rewards or anything.
I’ve got trips planned to the USA and a few other places, and honestly, I am not carrying around a massive stack of cash just to "smooth things over" when I'm out.
So, which one is the cheapest with the best terms? What are you guys actually using?
👍

I think there's a massive misunderstanding here.
I was just reacting to Walter's post and how emotional he was getting yesterday. 🙂

dustyscout53 said:What ExxonMobil offer? You mean the one they're pitching for those shares currently sitting with The Administration?

Man, you really woke up looking for a fight today, huh?
ExxonMobil is offering to buy out small shareholders and basically anyone else willing to sell.
There's even a chance they swap out those ExxonMobil-Government shares. 😁

Everyone's been fighting about INA lately—basically, everyone's obsessed with whether The Administration is actually going to bite on that ExxonMobil offer or if they’re gonna pull some other crazy move instead.
Look, I’m not saying you’re a bad person.
Maybe you're just naive.
Trust me, I used to be exactly like that.
Sociologists always say you’re an idiot if you aren't some wide-eyed Marxist in your 20s—you know, a socialist, a revolutionary, whatever—and then they say you're a total moron if you haven't turned into a greedy capitalist by your 30s.
Well, I'm not 30 yet, but I've definitely moved past phase one.
