Black actors being underrepresented in Disney movies 🤦

Honestly, throwing out a couple of examples isn't much of an argument when you look at the big picture. Lately in Hollywood—and let's be real, it's not just Disney—remakes and reboots are totally drowning out original scripts and characters (take that as a hint).

Like, people say a mermaid is a fictional character, so why are folks getting so worked up about skin color?

My girl gives off those same innocent vibes as Ariel, she's been there for me for years and she can actually sing. That matters way more than looks, but I guess some people just need to vent their frustrations on others instead of thinking before they judge.🤷

Reading about their eyes is an even bigger nightmare. Honestly, it’s like some insecure teenager having a meltdown wrote this—it makes zero sense.

Hollywood can't even come up with original characters in white culture (just look at the current trends), let alone for a Black person, so why is everyone acting so shocked and disappointed? 🤔

Good grief, I honestly didn't think this many people would lose their minds over her skin tone.
And wow, was I wrong... they really managed to let me down.

Does nobody care that the character of Ariel in the last few adaptations—including that '89 cartoon everyone keeps bringing up—isn't even close to the original? That doesn't bother anyone, right? Even that red hair from '89 is fine, but suddenly everyone’s a critic because she's a Black person.

I just hope the girl crushes the role and shuts all these haters up. I still can't believe some of these comments in 😵😵

Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Mila Kunis—yeah, I'm with you there.

Robert De Niro? Not bad, but totally overrated. Same goes for Ben Affleck, Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox (she’s borderline bad, honestly), and Adam Sandler... man, there are just too many of them to even list. 😬
Kristen Stewart is both bad and way too hyped up.
Will Ferrell is just terrible. I can't even look at him.

Yeah, I've mostly forgotten the 2007 version (thank God), so I'm really hoping this next one actually hits the mark.
If we're lucky, we might actually get a solid new franchise out of this.
At first, I was picturing how much Walker would suit the part, but honestly, he's way too pretty for a killer like this. I won't judge until I finally see 🙂

The acting and those cozy vibes just force a smile out of me every single time 🙂

Honestly, this flick beats Midnight in Paris any day. The plot is way deeper and more complex.
The acting was killer, and the characters felt totally real.

But man, the humor? Top tier. It actually stayed smart instead of relying on cheap jokes, though I guess Woody wouldn't even let that trash into his movies anyway 😁

My only gripe is that the movie kind of "glamorizes"—if that's even the right word—cheating.
So yeah, I won't ever truly love this one, but let's be real, it's an amazing film 🙂
