I’m with you on Bryant—he probably doesn't need to hit 25... but then again, you never know when he'll just drop 15 shots in a single half and go off 😁
Thoughts on Bryant under 25.5? 1.85 Orlando vs Houston Rockets - Home win 1.65 Indiana vs Detroit Pistons - Home win 1.30 Minnesota vs Oklahoma City Thunder - Away win 1.45
Which one is actually better overall—performance, durability, whatever...
It comes down to memory and cooling—personally, I'd go with the MSI. I had an old Gainward 9800 GT once and it was a nightmare... honestly, you might see maybe 1-2 fps difference, or maybe 5% at most, but for this price gap, just grab the cheaper one... it's not worth the extra cash.
Nah, that’s just throwing money away. A GTX 1050 won't break that PSU—it'll hold up fine. Once you actually have the cash—since you mentioned being able to drop up to $333—just grab a better GPU like a $300 plus another $67 and get a proper new power supply then.

So it's "working" now... which probably just means you're running on the basic Windows 7 driver... Try going through the Control Panel and stripping out the entire motherboard driver package first, then install the GPU driver separately before adding back the audio and network stuff... It should work. Doesn't really matter if some leftover integrated driver is hanging around somewhere...

Forgot to mention I leave my rig running overnight quite a bit... did it again last night. Woke up, turned on the monitor, and it was just stuck on the login screen like usual. Everything seemed fine—fans spinning and all—but the screen was frozen solid. Tried everything, even a hard reset, but nothing worked. Eventually, I had to pull the plug. When I booted back up, the same damn issue popped up immediately.
Well, this is interesting... my godfather had the exact same thing happen, except during a thunderstorm. Screen froze, couldn't even pull up Task Manager, nothing. He shut it down, tried to reboot, and boom—same mess. Since it was under warranty, he sent it in for repair; sat at the service center for nearly a month before they swapped out the motherboard. He thinks you probably ran into the same faulty board issue he did...
An HD 5670 with 2GB of RAM would look something like this:
PC Magazine $150 graphics card PC Magazine $57-$67 2GB DDR2 RAM
I’m assuming you're running DDR2 up there... just let me know what else is in the rig—the PSU and how old it is—but for that kind of cash, it's a decent enough deal.
1. Set up the monitor yesterday—hooked it up to my PC running Windows 7, set everything to auto, and let it default to full HD resolution. 2. Fired up Warcraft 3, F1, and Crysis 2... they run at full HD, but the image is all cut off on the side. 3. Tried installing the drivers today, but when I open the control panel, it says it's not compatible. 4. Fine, just uninstalled it... 5. Went into the AMD software under this section: HDTV support, messed around with a few settings, and eventually found this: 6. Scaling options, which gave me this:
Couldn't get it right until I tweaked things at step 5—set it to 0, and now both the desktop and my games look fine. It was centered before, which is why it was acting up...🙂
Yeah, they're saying they can't download anything 🙂 I don't get it—is everything working fine on your end? It’s totally fine on my desktop... Maybe I need to tweak some settings in the AMD software or something? I'm running a Sapphire 3870... single slot...
So, let's say I'm running Warcraft 3 with the new patch—I set it to Samsung full HD and it stretches across the whole screen. Same thing with F1, and Crysis 2 too... But my buddy's got this TV at his place, a Samsung full HD setup, and even when I set the game to full HD, it still looks like crap. Is that just how it works, or what?...
I'll attach two screenshots so you can see the mess for yourself. My buddy thinks it might be some weird American widescreen thing...
Benjamin King2 picked up a monitor at a local shop down the street $367 and honestly, it’s decent—but tell me, is it normal that when I crank a game to full HD, it doesn't fill the whole screen? 😢 It happens in every single game, though the desktop looks fine... 😢
Also, I grabbed a DVI-DVI cable, but the idiot clerk insisted they didn't have any, then handed me a DVI-HDMI instead... the only way I can even hook this thing up. I'm planning on taking it back—can I actually get a refund, or should I just swap it and throw some extra cash toward a keyboard? $20 It’s not a total loss, though...
Yeah, mostly for gaming—plus it’s way easier on my eyes when I'm reading stuff. What kind of tuner does that one have? Is it an LG? Or just a standard TV... If I grab the one for $433, I should be good to go, right? Should be fine for those full HD documentaries...
Check out this comparison—it’s really just a few frames difference. Nvidia wins some titles, AMD takes others... you can't exactly walk away a winner with either one. Just scour the web a bit, dig through YouTube, and make up your own mind...
