You should probably check with a local woodworking shop; they could easily whip that up for you. Honestly, though, I wouldn't be surprised if you found something similar at a boutique candy shop—I see stuff like that in photos all the time.

You can't go wrong with Fancy Cakes; their stuff is incredible. We order from them for everything, birthdays, you name it... Anne is an absolute wizard when it comes to marzipan..

Ugh, honestly, S.C., you know how it goes—it's always those women, right? The "perfect" moms who are all smiles from the first trimester until the day they deliver, breastfeeding without a single hitch, living in pristine houses, never raising their voices at the kids, and basically posing for a cover shoot for Vogue at any given second.😉Just block them and move on.☕
Trust me, you’ll have those moments where you’re questioning everything—like, why did I even do this? Like, wouldn't it be easier to just toss the husband and the kid out the window and run away? But even then, nothing is ever going to change how much you love that baby. It’s all going to work out. For me, Tin was an absolute dream from the moment he arrived.😍

😂😂😂 I'm with you on this! I've had the exact same thoughts several times already because of everything waiting for me... but I also think once the baby actually arrives and the emotions kick in, it'll just happen naturally.

Sorry for the tangent: I wouldn't call her smiling; I'd say she's more of a grouch.😁

Honestly, people like this just drive me up the wall. Don't they realize how frustrating they can be?

What would you say to my boyfriend? He thinks he’s going to be traumatized if he sees the baby covered in that newborn vernix when they're born, claiming the kid will look like they crawled straight out of hell. 😢

😂😂

Honestly, I've had the exact same thought myself. It's not like he's going to be gold-plated or anything, but still...😁

Look, I love my little guy, but let's be real: it isn't exactly a beautiful sight. 🤷

But listen, based on standard portions, my own gut feeling, and sheer experience, that's way too little!

I’ll second that—honestly, I might even join in. 🙂

Thanks for the tip; I should probably do some more digging. I might have totally misread the situation. 😉

Seriously though—how much does it usually cost to make enough cake for about 80 people? If anyone knows, let me know.

A bakery told me I’d need roughly 11 pounds for an 80-person crowd (which is our count)—and that doesn't even include the cake!!

... which means if a pound runs about $33, (and there are cheaper options out there) this is going to be way too expensive 😲😲

Correct me if my math on the quantity is totally off 🤷

I could really use some help here... I’m looking into a wedding happening out in Phoenix this March. Does anyone know if it’s possible to hire a local choir to perform just one single song during the ceremony or maybe right after? If you have any specific song suggestions or a solid contact, please let me know.

Thanks,

The series will basically sign off until tomorrow—hopefully with some more concrete plans for what we're actually doing!! 👋

I’m checking the forecast, and it looks like Friday is going to be bone dry. I’m crossing my fingers that Saturday stays just as clear because I am beyond stoked to finally head out!

@Angela Newman33/">@@Angela Newman33, I’ll try to swing by the drugstore tomorrow or Friday at the latest to check out the supplies. I'll let you know what they have and how much it costs, though if I recall correctly, it was pretty cheap..

I was thinking about asking my mom to whip up a few savory cheese pies tomorrow morning before I head out... though I'm never quite sure if we call them savory pies, strudels, or something else entirely here in the States...

Or maybe just grab something else?

I see you have a thing for bad decisions! Does that include dating those blue-eyed guys who are nothing but trouble?😁

😂😂😂

The bad guys are cruising through, while the blue team just can't catch a break. 😂

Angela Newman33, what if we actually get hit with a snowstorm this Saturday? 🤷

I'm definitely showing up—either this Saturday or next—and I’ll bring some food. Just let me know how many people to expect so I don't end up overdoing it. 😁

Angela Newman33 said:Look, it might sound trivial, but you wouldn't believe how much these things actually cost... even just a towel rack is more than $33 (assuming it isn't cheap plastic)
.

Hey, I actually know where you can pick some up for less than $33. Unlike those other places that charge an absolute fortune, I bought mine there and the quality is solid... I can swing by over in Chicago tonight to check it out...
Importing from China in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Just wanted to shake things up here a bit... I have a question for the experts. I’m definitely not an economist, but I’ve got some ideas and plans brewing. Is it possible for a domestic company to buy goods from China through a middleman—basically buying from another American firm that specializes in importing from China? Or is every single business forced to deal with the Chinese suppliers directly and handle their own imports?
