A woman asked me yesterday if I’d actually planned on getting pregnant.
When I told her it was completely unplanned, she had the nerve to ask why I didn't just go get an abortion.
And now everyone is predicting a boy because "you have that specific glow and your skin looks amazing, which only happens with boys." Apparently, if it's a girl, you'll just look terrible. 🤦
I agree that this forum needs some serious housekeeping. Honestly, sometimes it’s just uncomfortable to even read certain threads, let alone jump in and join the conversation. But if the goal here is to build a truly helpful resource for parents—both current and future—don't you think it would be much more useful for expectant twin parents to find a dedicated space where moms can actually swap real experiences? Right now, instead of finding support, they're wading through three different threads about maternity leave benefits, three about local flea markets, and five about which Target or Walmart has a sale this week. It's a mess.
If you push twin moms over to the off-topic section, where else are new twin moms supposed to find you? They won't. Moms who don't have multiples simply can't offer the kind of advice that matters in these specific situations. I have four kids at home, but I wouldn't be any help to someone struggling with two one-month-olds crying at the exact same time. I've just never been in that position.
You have to realize that these moms need practical advice from people who have actually lived it, not just virtual hugs and sweet words from people who can't even begin to imagine what they're going through.
Because aside from this one thread you just moved, I haven't seen a single other discussion about twins anywhere on the site.
Fine, just go ahead and ban the choir enthusiasts and pregnant women too, since apparently every other topic is considered "unnecessary chatter." What’s even the point of having subforums if we aren't allowed to vent about our actual struggles in the threads specifically designed for that? At this rate, you'll be left with nothing but a "Senior Citizens Club," a "wannabe singers club," and a "pregnancy club." Because honestly, if people could just ramble about anything there, we wouldn't even need the other boards.
And look, nobody would be this frustrated with these decisions if you weren't constantly shutting down or moving threads that have actually helped us get through things for years. If these were just posts from a day or two ago, no one would be complaining.

Man. 🙂🙂 Check out Plusic.😍
Lawrence Perez4 said:Well, here I am again... I was recently mentioning that bit of light spotting I had, which I thought might have been implantation bleeding, given how things were looking at the time. But honestly, it felt far too early to even think about taking a test. Now, it feels like maybe the timing is finally right. Though, with my cycles being so unpredictable lately, I can barely keep track of my own math—I feel like a confused teenager just trying to figure out a calendar 😁 My last period started on November 14th, which makes it exactly a month ago today. Usually, my cycle runs somewhere between 30 and 35 days, though last month was a bit of an outlier at only 24 days, which definitely threw me for a loop. Anyway, without getting too bogged down in the weeds, do you all think it’s a good time to take a test now, or should I hold off a little longer?
On top of that, I've been feeling quite strange these past few days; I have this constant, nagging urge to eat. It isn't exactly nausea, nor is it pain, and it doesn't feel like indigestion or anything... it's just this odd sensation that I can't quite put into words. The only way to make it go away is to grab a snack or something to nibble on 😁 but as soon as I stop eating, that sensation just creeps right back in... and it's making it pretty tough to get a good night's sleep. Has anyone else experienced something similar, and do you think there could be any connection to pregnancy? 😕🤷
If that spotting really was implantation bleeding, then it isn't too early for a test.
And that constant need to snack can definitely happen in early pregnancy. Just take the test and let us know how it goes. Good luck! 👍
You can take a test whenever you want, but honestly, the chances of seeing a positive result right now are slim to none—unless your ovulation happened right after your period ended. You really need at least 10 days to pass from fertilization before an early-detection test will show anything. Anything sooner than that is just wasting your money and stressing yourself out for no reason.

You spend all day navigating the usual chaos—you know, dodging traffic on the I-95 or trying to make sense of those endless spreadsheets at work—and then suddenly, you stumble upon a conversation that feels like finding a hidden oasis in the middle of a desert. It’s a bit like when you’re hiking through a dense forest in the Pacific Northwest and you finally break through the canopy to see that perfect, golden sunlight hitting the ferns; there’s just this immediate sense of peace and discovery. Anyway, I was just sitting here with my coffee, watching the rain hit the window, thinking about how much we all need these little digital corners to connect. So, hello everyone! I’m looking forward to seeing where this discussion goes. kaže:
Lawrence Perez4, is that really you? Are you seeing these results too? Honestly, I was sitting here this morning staring at my own test, just praying for a different outcome, but it came back negative. I can’t say I’m not a little heartbroken because, if I’m being completely truthful, I had such high hopes for this cycle. Everything seemed to line up perfectly—I was right in the middle of my fertile window, and I don't think I waited too long to take the test either, assuming I timed it about two weeks after conception. It feels a bit like waiting for a storm to break when you can see the clouds gathering but the rain just won't fall, you know? I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around it all, but I suppose I'll just try to stay patient and run the test again in a few days to be absolutely certain.🤷
Hey there! Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone!
Well, the results came back negative, which was quite a letdown, I must admit... though if I’m being completely honest with myself, I’ve been wrestling with this nagging suspicion that I might be pregnant for a while now. It’s such a strange sensation, isn't it? Like a quiet little whisper in the back of your mind that you can't quite shake. Back then, I hadn't even missed my period yet—I was just riding this wave of intuition—but now, well, I'm actually about four or five days late. I know I really ought to go grab another test to be certain, but there’s this tiny, cautious part of me that’s almost afraid to hope, thinking it might just turn up negative again. I think I'll just hold off and wait a few more days to see how things settle before I try again. 🤷
You definitely tested much too early then.
Please let us know how the next one goes😉

I did.
Sarah Adams3 said:Hi everyone, just checking in again 🙂
My ovulation was about eight days ago, and I’ve been feeling nauseous for three days now. I guess I might just be imagining things,
but maybe there's something to it! Anyway, that's all from me until my next update 😍😁
I really hope you see those two lines!
As for symptoms, I swear I deal with every single one imaginable every month. They just rotate. Honestly, it's a good thing I haven't felt the baby kicking yet.🤣 The one month I actually conceived, my only symptom was that my 🙂 were a bit more sensitive than usual during my typical PMS window.
The mind plays tricks on you.
Lawrence Perez4 said:Thanks so much! Honestly, I was just a little thrown off because both lines popped up right away at the very start...
I ended up picking up a second test today, so I’m going to run it again first thing in the morning.
Good luck.👍
Lawrence Perez4 said:Hey ladies!
I could really use some urgent advice here... So, I tried using a Clearblue pregnancy test for the very first time tonight, and I am honestly just completely baffled by what happened. The way it works is that you get two lines if it’s positive, or just one line if it’s negative—each little mark has its own tiny window, right?
The thing is, the second I actually used it—hehe, oops—both lines appeared almost instantly. But since the instructions say you have to wait three to five minutes to read the official result, I sat there patiently waiting... and then, after those few minutes passed, both lines had completely vanished! The manual says one line should stay visible if the result is negative, but now there isn't even one single line left. So, what does that even mean? Based on what I saw in the moment, it wasn't positive, but it wasn't negative either, haha.
Has anyone else dealt with this specific brand before? I’m sitting here totally lost... It looks like I’ll definitely be heading back out to CVS to grab another one, which is such a bummer.
If the control line doesn't show up, the test is invalid—basically, it's a dud. Just grab a new one and try again.
casualcyclist1 said:Look, if something feels off, just go get your blood work done. Go see a doctor and check your hCG levels—if those numbers are high, then you’re pregnant. At least that way you aren't stuck guessing; privately, $50 is a quick fix and you'll be done in about an hour and a half. But if that test comes back negative, then you're facing a real uphill battle. Honestly, what are the odds that he didn't actually leave a little something behind? You both need to be as fertile as a damn Midwestern cornfield!
In my case, the chances were basically 100%. He didn't even finish inside me and I still ended up with a little devil who's already three and a half.😍
If your test was negative, maybe you just ovulated a bit later than you thought. Just try again in a few days.
Henry Baker2 said:Unfortunately, yeah... there was someone on this forum once... what was her name... Trollsella or something... she got pregnant the exact same way and now she’s having triplets. 😍😍😍
Your fingers are freaking broken.. 🙂🙂
Look, since you're already in college, maybe crack open a high school biology textbook and go through the basics: menstruation, sperm, ovulation, intercourse, pregnancy..
Then maybe $10 take another test, chill out, and stay away from sex, "fingering" ( 🙂 ), and the internet for a while.
Go home!

Joshua Cox21 said:So here's the deal:🙂 My period is three days late. I can see a very faint line on the pregnancy test, but my husband 😁...I think he sees it too, he's just refusing to get his hopes up prematurely.
I'm thinking maybe it's just too early. We decided to start trying this month, but we didn't actually stop using protection until December 20th. If conception happened right then, it might still be a bit too soon for the test to be definitive... what do you guys think?
If you're three days late and saw a faint line, just try again in two days. The line should be darker by then. 👍
driftingmarlin26 said:We’ve been doing things that way for six years, and I haven't even gotten pregnant.
We were there for five years before I finally stopped. We actually decided to try for a baby, and about a year after our first one arrived, we realized the withdrawal method wasn't exactly foolproof. So, we went ahead and had our second little one. 😍
steelcrane12 said:If you didn't manage to conceive using withdrawal, maybe give regular intercourse a try instead.🤣

Nicholas Howard60 said:So I took another test today, day 23 of my cycle—the STEP 1 kind. A faint blue line showed up right at the edge of the little window instead of being close to the actual test line. What does that even mean? Honestly, I'm pretty confused right now.
So, what happened in the end? Did you retake the test?
Go ahead and take a test. I didn't have a fever, but my head was pounding quite a bit during the early stages of pregnancy. Especially with this crazy weather we've been having lately. If you're already two weeks late, you can test at any time of day. Clearblue is fine, but you don't really need to drop a ton of money on an expensive kit. Last time, I just grabbed one of those cheap strips from $8.25. I tested around 6 PM, a day before my period was actually due, and it showed a thick, clear +
Come on ladies, let's get those tests out in the sun😁
copperharbor10 said:Hey everyone!
I'm not totally sure if I'm in the right spot here, but I was wondering... could these crazy cravings be a sign? Like, I have been obsessing over pickled peppers so hard that I basically drove all over town looking for them (but they were nowhere to be found!) and I've just been dreaming about them for like seven days straight. They sound so incredibly good... thank god my husband finally tracked some down for me yesterday. Also, about two weeks ago, I had this massive craving for apple pie that was so intense I just had to bake it myself—I could practically smell it in my nose while it was still rising in the oven...
And oh my gosh, the smells... last night I could smell cheeseburgers right after we were intimate, and today I'm catching whiffs of everything from bakery bread to street tacos just walking through downtown. It's like everything smells like something! And last night, I had this weird taste in my mouth, kind of like canned food or metal, or maybe just sour...
I don't know, maybe I'm just imagining things because we really want a baby. We've been trying for about two months now, though we haven't been having much sex lately because my husband has been under a ton of stress at work, so he hasn't really been in the mood... We actually decided to stop tracking everything and promised not to stress about it and just let it happen when it happens, but honestly, we both want this so badly and would be over the moon if it happened right away.
So, I'm 21 and he's 29, and we've been married for a little over a year. My cycles aren't super regular—they usually come every 35 to 40 days—so I try to guess my fertile window, but it's never really exact. I did miss my period back in November and December, but that's happened once every couple of years before. I saw an OBGYN twice a few years ago and everything was totally fine then.
As for other stuff, my breasts feel swollen, my discharge has a weird scent, and I'm peeing constantly (though I usually pee pretty often anyway). I've never felt anything this intense before, like I'd do literally anything just to have someone bring me what I'm craving, and those smells!
Sorry again if I'm posting this in the wrong place!
Best,
Just grab a pregnancy test if you're expecting your period soon. It’ll most likely come back positive. That metallic taste in your mouth is usually a giveaway, and that weird discharge can happen too.
Either way, just get it ordered through your OB-GYN.
I hope you get that bonus.😉
