It's pretty obvious he got some kind of heads-up 😁 that they totally blew it at the Supreme Court, so now he's trying to get ahead of the curve before Janez Janša and the rest of them start scoring easy points by hammering him with criticisms and calls for his resignation.

Haha. And they only care about the ones who are actually famous.🙏🤣

I figured I’d drop a little something about myself here, so if anyone feels a vibe, just reach out (and don't wait too long).

If it matters, I'm 27—personally, I don't care, and I’d hope you don't either.

I'm really looking for a deep connection, someone who shares my thoughts, my actions, and my feelings. Sometimes my ego gets way too loud and takes over everything else until I finally realize what's happening and ground myself again, which is what I call getting "back into the feeling."

I've always had a thing for words and how they fit together; there used to be this intense poetic imagery in my head, but nowadays, everything feels poetic, even just being on this forum. I find joy in expressing myself. I'd love to write both long and short pieces, though honestly, I struggle to find the energy for it sometimes.

It seems like I used to be prone to creating these heavy mental images, like objectifying women—kind of like how certain movies do it—but once I realized I was doing that, I worked hard to tear those views down and move past them. Luckily, I'm also at the other extreme, being very grounded and observant, so breaking those habits wasn't foreign to me. I deal with these weirdly opposing extremes within myself quite often.

I tend to get pretty obsessive about looking at what’s actually "behind" things, trying to figure out how everything is put together.

Socializing isn't really my thing; most of the time, I just don't click with people.

I love being captivated by life. I love the little moments.

I love watching the Sun rise and set, and seeing the colors shift in the clouds.

I'm into history and poetry, and I often feel this obsessive urge to talk about those things with people, though I rarely do because it feels like most people aren't interested in that level of intensity.

I don't really fit in with crowds where the whole point is just constant joking around. I'd much rather be focused on more serious stuff I'm working on than constantly cracking jokes or trying to be funny; I just don't act that way, and I don't really want to. That doesn't mean I don't have a sense of humor, obviously.

A bit of a trivia nerd.

I have a tendency toward being sentimental, even reaching that cheesy level you see in a Duke movie.

It makes me uncomfortable to gossip about people or talk about what they're doing when they aren't around, especially if I don't fully trust the person I'm talking to. Live and let live.

I went through some heavy OCD, and I still feel the fallout from it today in the form of anxiety, depression, and some pretty intense trouble concentrating.

I've experienced derealization and depersonalization, and I even leaned into them at times while exploring consciousness and existence. It was vital for me to see what lay beneath the surface—that's just one of my traits, always looking behind the curtain. Those states weren't pleasant, but they actually helped me work through my OCD.

I have an interest in neuroscience and math, though I haven't really studied them formally (I only feel a pull toward them when I think about potentially diving in), and I have a philosophical approach to life (which might not be appropriate for everyone).

There's a constant swirl of sensations in me, like a palimpsest of thoughts, feelings, memories, and external stimuli. I'm quite sensitive to physical things; for instance, autumn always triggers a very specific feeling in me.

I'd love to live in the Canary Islands (not like I'm running away from the Hague with any worries)🤣 because it's always warm and sunny there, making you feel like you're on a permanent afternoon vacation.

Sometimes I expressed my joy through tears—like how I used to cry just because we were alive.

Anyway, that should be enough. This post stays up, but I might not respond immediately since I'm not online all the time.

I'm looking for someone to go to small shows with, maybe hit up a club in the Swamp to dance to psytrance, smoke, be a cuddle buddy (I'm big on touch and cuddling), or just talk about history, global injustices, poetry, art, Lego bricks, have some spicy conversations, bake weed brownies, shoot some low-budget movies, and stuff like that.
Existential dread: Does any of this actually matter? in Psychology & Therapy ·
What really helped me was realizing that nonexistence isn't some higher calling or a more legitimate alternative to being alive. It’s not "superior" in some imaginary hierarchy. If anything, you could argue the same for existence itself, since we were dropped into this life as humans, and everything you mentioned—even just waiting for the pain to pass—is part of that human experience. Creating things is also human; you get to pick what you make, and it doesn't have to be some grand, world-changing masterpiece. Just something that brings you a bit of joy. Obviously, you shouldn't just sit there waiting for the agony of waiting to subside until it becomes unbearable; you need to change something, maybe just by adjusting how much of your time you spend waiting. It also clicked for me that life actually happens in the moments when you're truly living them, which puts you outside the linear flow of time. That timeline only exists because we surrender to these human desires, joys, pains, and tears—everything that's been biologically hardwired into us. Personally, I find peace watching the colors of the sky at dusk or seeing snow fall so thick you can actually hear it settling. Someone might look at that and call it a fleeting, trivial distraction, but the thing is, when you truly immerse yourself in it, you aren't observing it from the outside. You aren't looking at it as an object. In those moments, it's real. It’s the only truth because you aren't overthinking it; you're just living. You're just existing. Once you start looking back at an experience from the outside and trying to assign it value, you've already drifted into a kind of nonexistence, and honestly, nothing would feel any different even if you did end it all.

So, we’re getting together this Sunday, July 30th, at 7 PM. A bunch of us who hang out over on the Psych couch are planning to meet up, so if you're looking to grab a drink and actually make some real friends, you should definitely swing by. Check the meetup thread for all the details.

You guys down for hitting up Bacchus later? I think they have an outdoor patio out back, which usually feels a bit more chill and laid back. I can check if we can snag a table reservation.

So there's three of us hanging out now, and honestly, I’d love to get to know you guys better. Let's just hang tight for a bit to see if anyone else decides to jump in before we all head out and grab a drink together.🙂

Anyone down to get a group together and hang out? I noticed things have been pretty quiet around here for a while now.😉
I totally forgot to mention that the screen really needs to be easy on the eyes, you know? Like, something I can stare at for hours on end all day long without feeling like my vision is getting fried.
Hey everyone, I’m on the hunt for a laptop geared toward multimedia stuff—lots of video editing, maybe some light gaming on the side (not a dealbreaker), and potentially some coding too. Honestly, my main goal is just getting something that won't be obsolete in a year or two, so I’d love to land on a machine with a beefy, latest-gen processor. I’m totally fine with starting out with a smaller SSD and less RAM if it means I can just pop in some upgrades later down the road when I have the cash. It would be a nice little bonus if it still had a DVD drive or a VGA port, though I know those are becoming rare these days, so don't sweat it if not. Also, I don't need an OS pre-installed.

I’m not entirely convinced this isn't tied to your diagnosis, even if it isn't a direct link. Look, I'm going to assume you're just acting out because you're feeling pretty desperate right now, which is probably why you're posting all this nonsense about rape.

Be real with me—do you actually hang out with girls your age, like just being friends or having a social circle? Or does the idea of talking to women actually freak you out?
And how are you with people in general? Like, do you actually have a sense of humor or any talent for making people laugh? If you do, what's your vibe? Just give me a real description of who you are as a person.
