girls, I don't know if this has been asked yet—there are way too many posts to scroll through 🙂 so forgive me if I'm repeating myself!!
does anyone know how reliable the Clearblue tests actually are? has anyone here used them??
I'm already 7 days late, which is totally weird for me, so I decided to take one (Clearblue) and it said negative... but honestly, I still feel like I might be pregnant. Is there any reason to trust these tests, or is there a better brand out there??? 🙂
thanks in advance !!!! 😁

The quality of these kits is largely comparable, though I am fairly certain you would have seen a positive result by now given how much time has passed since your expected date, assuming your cycle is usually regular.
Michael Lee5 said:Has anyone else been getting totally bogus results from these tests? I just took one today, like two days before my period was even due, and yep, once again I’m sitting here feeling let down for the fifth time... I swear, I keep telling myself I won't bother buying them until I'm actually late... which, honestly, is probably what I should do... It's such a bummer $20... And I'm actually feeling pretty blue about it all.

The timing was simply too early; you should run it again in a few days. The most reliable data emerges once you have actually missed your period.
boldcobra94 said:Hi there, I’ve heard stories about women who wake up in the morning and just feel... something different in their bodies... In my case, I was told that the discomfort I felt in my ovaries over those two days was actually just ovulation happening 😕 though, to be perfectly honest, I don't really know much about any of this biological stuff... I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all
Now, I have a bit of another question—I've been experiencing some mild cramping down in my lower abdomen, and people tell me that’s totally normal... DOES ANYONE HERE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT?

There is an existing thread regarding this topic somewhere on the forum...
In short, it is perfectly normal as the uterus expands; I dealt with similar discomfort for about two weeks during my own early stages.
If your cycle is predictable, a test should be accurate after just a single day of being late, so... I suppose all I can say is good luck. 🙂
George Richardson9 said:I am uncertain whether a thread dedicated to this specific inquiry already exists within this forum, yet I find myself compelled to ask: have any of you experienced that peculiar, intuitive sensation of being pregnant before any physical symptoms actually manifested, and more importantly, how accurate did those internal premonitions ultimately prove to be? 🙄

It seems to me, particularly observing the tone of this discussion, that one cannot rely on intuition alone, especially when 🤷 women who are desperate for a positive result begin to indulge in excessive optimism and hope, which only serves to make the inevitable disappointment much more crushing.😢

If there is even a shadow of a doubt, it is far wiser to simply take a home test or get bloodwork done—provided it isn't too early for an ultrasound. If it is, I would suggest booking a quick appointment at a private clinic just to get an answer immediately and move on.
I am sorry to hear that, Keith Nguyen9 😢
I anticipate some positive news will arrive shortly 🙂

Does it actually matter if I take it right now, or should I wait until tomorrow morning?

The instructions on the box will likely tell you; for some brands, timing is critical, while for others, like Clearblue, it isn't. Good luck. 🙂
neonwolf6 said:Hey everyone,
I'm new here—just joined the group and have a few things on my mind.
So, I'm about 9 days late. I'm planning to grab a test this Monday, then we'll see where things go...🤷
Lately, from when I expected my period until just a couple of days ago, I've had those familiar lower abdominal cramps—you know, the kind right before your cycle starts. I've also been feeling a bit dizzy and slightly nauseous, though honestly, I might just be overthinking it.😁
I've also been exhausted lately. I feel like I could sleep all day, but I've always been a bit of a sleeper anyway, so I haven't taken it too seriously.🙂 🙂
One weird thing, though—I'm hitting the bathroom constantly. It feels like I need to go every thirty minutes to an hour, and once that urge hits, it's pretty intense...
I'm really not sure what to make of it all. My breasts also feel strangely tender and sore every now and then...
Any advice?😕

I am honestly not sure what you are asking.🤷
You can buy a test right now and get an answer immediately; strictly speaking, yes, pregnancy is a possibility.
Keith Nguyen9 said:Hello again, if you will permit me to bother you all once more. I am keeping a careful tally of the days, and as of today, my period is eleven days late. I find myself wondering: is it possible for a primary care physician to issue a referral for routine blood work related to pregnancy, or perhaps even a more specific referral for a HCG test? I thank you all for your patience, as I know my constant questioning can be quite a burden.🙂thank you everyone

I doubt it's possible; my doctor refuses to authorize anything remotely related to pregnancy, insisting that only an OB-GYN handles those specific referrals.
Keith Nguyen9 said:I have a question for the group. Initially, I noticed a thick white discharge, but now there is a strange, somewhat unpleasant odor developing—what could this signify? On top of that, my period is now ten days late; my last one started on December 10th. Last night, I experienced some unusual pains and felt a faint rhythmic pulsing in my abdomen. It doesn't feel quite like my usual intestinal movements, as I am very familiar with how my digestion behaves, so I am uncertain. Is it truly possible to feel such sensations this early on?😕😕😕

It is far too early to feel a baby. While increased discharge is normal, an unpleasant odor typically suggests otherwise. You have little choice but to remain patient or, if your schedule permits, visit the clinic as James Adams70 suggested.

As for Dr. Miller, give her a call and mention your symptoms; she might be able to fit you in for an ultrasound 😉 since things should be visible by now.

If you are truly this anxious—and it seems these symptoms are weighing heavily on you—perhaps seeking a private specialist would be wise? They could likely get you in by tomorrow.

I have nothing further to offer given that you have already completed the tests.🤷
Keith Nguyen9 said:I finally reached my breaking point and bought an Intim Plus test, but the result was negative.😕I am doing fine, truly, though I feel compelled to head down to the pharmacy, feeling utterly defeated because I know this test gave me the right answer. How can I explain to her how terrible I feel when the tears just won't stop?

I am sorry.😢
Keith Nguyen9 said:My breasts have started to feel tender whenever they are touched. I haven't started my period yet, and I am struggling to decide whether to take another pregnancy test; I am terrified that I will somehow mess up the process again. My supply of tests is nearly exhausted, even though I feel so incredibly bloated. Today marks the eighth day since my period was due, and I find myself counting 🙏 every single day, praying for the sake of the little one.

Just buy a basic one; there isn't much room for error. 😉
I stuck exclusively to First Response (which carries a higher price tag, $20), as you can use them at any hour, provided you don't overhydrate beforehand. It is highly probable that other brands follow a nearly identical protocol.
redo it tomorrow morning following the instructions precisely. if you didn't follow the protocol correctly, there is a distinct possibility the results are invalid. good luck 🙂
Keith Nguyen9 said:I am in no rush at all; rather, I find myself in a state of eager anticipation, hoping for positive news. I have already consulted with my OB-GYN, and everything appears to be perfectly fine from a medical standpoint, though nothing can be visually confirmed regarding the pregnancy just yet. My period is also late. In my view, expectant mothers should be met with support and encouragement rather than being discouraged. When one encounters posts like this, it makes it incredibly difficult to remain optimistic, and quite frankly, it causes me to lose hope.😢

The absence of a visible scan from an OBGYN does not necessarily mean there is nothing there; it is quite possible it is simply too early. You ought to wait a few days before scheduling another appointment or taking another test. In my experience, a test turned positive on the fifth day of a missed period, while my doctor suggested coming in around the tenth day, and by the second week, everything was clearly visible. 🙂

Furthermore, do not allow anyone—especially a stranger—to discourage you or dampen your spirits. Everything will turn out fine 🙂 and I am certain that Nancy Grant did not intend to be unkind.

Robin Barnes4 said:I've got nothing to say about this. Honestly, I don't even know. I remember exactly what I was paying about a month ago, and there definitely wasn't any bulk discount back then.

Maybe they were just playing games and finally decided to chill out—who knows? Honestly, I already cleared everything up with Vincent, so I couldn't care less anymore.

Honestly, out of everything I’ve ever tried, Sugar Land is hands down the absolute best. I’ve known that for ages. But when I actually gave them a call—like, only about a month ago—they told me they were completely sold out. $40 That sounds like way too much for me... Does anyone actually know what the current price is right now?

$37 is the price, as far as I am aware, and it is stated on their website. We purchased both pastries and a cake from them and received a 10% discount.
analogviper132 said:Quick question for anyone who’s pregnant or has been before 🙂

When did the morning sickness actually kick in for you? Like, how long after conception...

It began at five weeks, with vomiting occurring at seven, though it always manifested in the evening.🤷
rapidrider3 said:I mean, isn't it a bit early to be testing things tonight if we're already looking at a 4 to 6 day delay?

I guess I’m still holding out hope that it actually shows up...
But once you're staring down a delay of over 10 days... well, not in this lifetime. That just hasn't happened before.

You could just make one yourself, though I used Clearblue and the instructions specifically state not to test in the morning. That option is more expensive, costing roughly $20
rapidrider3 said:I’ve got a question for all the women here who actually managed to get pregnant.

How many of you ran a test late in the afternoon and saw a positive, even though your period was only lagging by maybe four or six days?

And did any of you end up getting a negative result later on, only to find out you were definitely pregnant—or maybe you just waited until the next morning and the first thing you saw was a solid positive?

That was my exact experience, though I made sure to test again in the evening and the result remained positive. My period was five days late. 🙂

Good grief, baking desserts for over a hundred people?
The workload I just dealt with was more than enough.🤣

I suppose it's impressive for you, but I wouldn't dream of baking for anyone, let alone a crowd.

Besides, in this day and age, everything requires some sort of health certification, so none of that is happening anyway.☕

Our intention was actually the exact opposite; we wanted to minimize our reliance on others so our guests could simply relax and enjoy themselves like honored visitors, rather than being exhausted and stressed out a week beforehand. I once saw my aunt bake for a wedding of 400 people, and she could barely stand from pure exhaustion.
