Bryan Diaz said:Lately, my lower back and glutes have been absolutely killing me—it’s getting to the point where every two or three days the pain hits so hard that my left leg just gives out on me. It’s honestly exhausting. I end up practically forcing my husband to give me a massage, and then I’ll just spend the whole day lying around trying to recover, but as soon as I get back to my usual routine—standing for most of the day and juggling a million different tasks—the pain just shoots right back in. It feels like this endless, frustrating cycle that I can't seem to break.
I deal with this too... sometimes my leg even goes numb. But I won't let my husband massage me because that always leads to sex... and I'm just not in the mood for that.😂
And another thing... stick to low-fat dairy, but don't go overboard—keep it under half a liter a day total. Avoid anything fried or breaded. Cornbread is a massive trap if you aren't careful. Then there's fruit.🙂 During my last pregnancy, I was gaining weight like crazy, so I went on a strict diet from week 25 through week 36 (though I ended up looking a bit haggard myself). During that stretch, I didn't gain a single pound; in fact, I actually lost two.🙂 Now, regarding fruit—figs, watermelon, bananas... they're a total sugar bomb. Look, I get it, you’re going to eat things. During my last pregnancy, I thought, "Well, I'm pregnant now, so I might as well start eating breakfast," and I started slamming Cocoa Puffs every morning for breakfast. Good grief...
The best bets are apples or pears.
But we all know life isn't that simple.
If you're going to indulge in the bad stuff, at least watch your portions.

Next time, bring a friend along and make sure to loudly announce—"We aren't buying from here, this guy's a total scammer"—especially if you've been ripped off before. I even got scammed when I was pregnant... edit: just make sure there’s a crowd nearby when you call them out.😁
Look, at that Whole Foods over in Cherry Hill, they don't always let you choose... not all of them, but some do. When I run into those types, I just turn around and walk away. This guy actually seemed decent at first... damn him. $4.00
I was absolutely livid back on Friday dealing with some jerk at a local farmers market in Chicago...
So, I’m out doing my weekly grocery run, picking up bits and pieces, when I spot some Granny Smith apples$2.00/lb They looked homegrown—smaller than the supermarket stuff, but they looked great. I decided to grab 2kg worth, but the guy starts shoving the apples from the back toward me instead of letting me pick the ones in front. When I told him I wanted the ones closer to the front, he just brushed me off, saying, "They're all the exact same thing." Fine, I thought, I'll take his word for it. Well, turns out he was lying through his teeth. He sold me apples with wrinkled, shriveled skin. I don't even see fruit looking that bad on clearance at a Walmart or a Kroger. What an absolute crook. I am never going back. I honestly cannot wrap my head around this certain type of American mentality where people think it's okay to cheat customers like that. There is zero chance I'm buying anything from him ever again.

I’m only 26 weeks 😢 along. What is this going to be like by the end, let alone during labor?
Running to the CVS right now to see what’s actually safe to use while pregnant before this thing flares up and gets even worse.
Mine showed up after I gave birth. I used something with a propolis base... I think... I'll check the label and let you know.......... Everything hurts right now .........so I just collapsed onto the couch and I am absolutely not moving.........😂
Seriously, some people just can't help themselves. I have this neighbor who acts like she’s everyone’s grandmother... just an incredibly irritating old busybody. She’s constantly bragging about her son, who’s a doctor, like he’s some kind of national hero. Back when I was pregnant with my first, she had the nerve to ask if I was having a girl or a boy. I told her it was a girl. She just goes, "Well, hopefully the next one is a boy." I didn't hold back—I shot her down immediately. I told her, "Actually, I'd much prefer a girl," just to mess with her. I mean, it doesn't really matter to me, but I wanted to see her face. Now that I'm pregnant again, whenever she sees me out and about, she doesn't even dare to ask.🙂

Hahaha, I actually went and reported him to his mother... Hahahaha She absolutely tore him apart 🙂 in front of everyone. 🙂
Bryan Diaz said:Does he honestly not realize that saying something like that to his wife is a total non-starter?
He clearly doesn't... But honestly, that's his favorite line to throw at me whenever he wants to complain about my cooking. He jumps at any chance to vent his frustrations. The truth is simple: I don't enjoy cooking, and I’m certainly not a master of a million different recipes. The reality is that I know how to make the stuff I *do* make pretty damn well.
It's just that our tastes and how we were raised to eat are completely different.😂 Hah.
My husband is driving me absolutely insane today. Our daughter refuses to eat a single bite. Apparently, because she’s turning her nose up at my cooking, it must be "bad"—as if I’m some amateur. It's funny how she clears her plate every single time she's at his mother's house, though. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I am about to lose my mind.
Charles Miller3 said:Ugh, tell me about it—it started happening to me too. 🤷 And honestly? Some people look at me like I’m some teenager with a baby bump. Just for the record, I’m 30 and I definitely don't look like a kid. 😬
I mean, it doesn't bother me *that* much, though... mostly it just makes me want to laugh at how ridiculous they're being. 😁
Same here... I constantly have people commenting on me at the grocery store or the gas station...🤷 I mean, I'm not looking for unsolicited advice, but it's weird when you're just trying to live your life. I was working right up until last week, and usually, when I'm out running errands, I'm dressed professionally. Hahaha. But clearly, I must look like a total amateur to them, even if I don't feel that way.

Oh, tell me about it. The other day, someone looked at me like I was some beggar on the street because I'm showing quite a bit and carrying my little one, who is already getting pretty big herself. Some guy was staring at me so blatantly it was uncomfortable. 😲 Total jerk. Then again, maybe he's just into pregnant women. 😂

What drives me even more insane is some idiot telling me I’ll hit 200 pounds if I stay on bed rest, or suggesting I can just go for long walks because "it doesn't matter anyway."😠 I’ve already put on at least five pounds just from being stuck inside, no matter how much I watch what I eat or try to fill up on fruit and other crap. It's maddening.😢
How on earth did you pull that off?????? Are you actually serious? Good grief, Duphaston isn't exactly tiny, and the urethra isn't some garden hose you can just jam things into.

Yeah, fruit, right... That doesn't mean you won't gain weight. Just wait until watermelon and fig season hits. You definitely shouldn't be eating those if you're trying to stay under 220. 🙂
Jesse Evans85 said:Precisely! This lack of basic manners is baffling—and it isn't just that they won't let us cut ahead, it's that they actively try to jump in front of us instead. 😠 To be fair, my blood pressure spiked so much that, which is quite unlike me, I actually snapped at the woman. Surprisingly, she ended up apologizing to me, though she spent the rest of her shift grumbling under her breath and checking her watch. I only experienced true kindness once, back at a Chase Bank, when the teller actually called me forward before anyone else and told me that next time I should definitely come earlier, and reminded me that if I ever came in with my child, I’d have priority.
In my case, it happened at the bank after I watched what looked like five different seniors—honestly, I suspect some were just using fake canes to jump the queue—get ushered right to the front... It drove me absolutely insane. Then, suddenly, things changed. One time, a cashier at Walgreens actually called me up to the register ahead of others. It hasn't happened anywhere else. Not even at a super friendly CVS, and I'm usually walking in there with a baby bump and a seventeen-month-old in tow about 90% of the time.
Jesse Evans85 said:I have them. 🙄 They showed up on my legs ages ago, and now they're appearing on my stomach too. No stretch marks yet—fingers crossed I avoid those—but these little burst capillaries are definitely there. They aren't quite as obvious as the ones on my legs, but they're noticeable enough.
What's really getting under my skin:
1. Some retiree at the checkout who actually had the nerve to ask if she could cut in front of me in the Target line because she was in such a rush... 🙄I have no idea why everyone in that generation is suddenly in such a frantic hurry. 2. A woman sitting behind me on the bus who stood up to give an old man her seat, making a comment directed at me about how "young people today are so rude" and won't even offer their seats...
I mean, what is wrong with people? My baby bump is already pretty prominent (so much for trying to hide the pregnancy), and apparently, I'm also expected to jump up and give priority to everyone I encounter.😠
3. My mother-in-law—who calls me just to say, "let me hear how you are," but I never even get a chance to answer because I spend the next twenty minutes listening to a monologue about her own problems.
People constantly push past me and ignore my presence in checkout lines. Then, once they actually start scanning their items, they turn around and act like they didn't even hear me when I speak... Give me a break. And I am beyond irritated by cashiers at the local grocery store who just sit there when I stand in the priority lane—the one clearly marked for pregnant women and people with disabilities. A massive crowd of people has already dumped their stuff on the belt, effectively blocking my path so I can't even get close enough to the register to ask if I can go ahead. The cashier sees me standing there and just stares at the floor to avoid making eye contact... absolute joke.
Hmm... take a look at all these people waving around their degrees. You see them everywhere—specialists, sub-specialists, PhDs, board certifications, tenured professors... the whole works. But honestly, what good does any of that paper do when they’re nothing more than ill-mannered social outcasts?
I get hit by those random waves of madness sometimes, where I start obsessing over what-ifs... there was even a period where I seriously considered going back to school for another degree. But then I have to ask myself: what's actually the point? I've already got a career. If I want to learn something, I just pick up a book or dive into some professional journals. There’s really no need to go chasing another piece of paper if I don't plan on pivoting my entire career path because of it.
Good grief, she is exhausting. You can tell she’s a total literalist—one of those people who follows the rulebook to a fault. I dealt with plenty of types like her back in my day. It’s honestly draining; all she does is nitpick and try to catch everyone on every single word they say. She probably means well and has good intentions deep down, but she clearly lacks any semblance of social skills.
Hang in there, dear... Just focus on staying relaxed so everything goes smoothly... stay off your feet and get some rest...
Rebecca Vaughn7 said:Hey 🙂
I don't even feel like a "real" pregnant woman yet since I'm only six weeks along. This week or next, I'm just praying to hear a heartbeat, but I have to vent to someone or I’m actually going to explode...
So, last Friday, I had some spotting. After overthinking it for ages, I ended up at the ER. Luckily, it stopped. The doctor didn't even see any actual blood—just this yellowish discharge and a tiny little speck, 5+6. So, fine. Whatever.
Today, I had more of that gross pink discharge again. Not red, not brown, just straight-up pink. It lasted a few seconds and then stopped instantly—like a capillary burst or something. But whatever, I just curl up on the couch and call my mom to tell her I won't be coming over this afternoon.
And her response? She basically calls me crazy if I think I need to rest. She claims she bled through her entire first trimester with me and I still turned out perfectly normal. She says I shouldn't even worry about it, that every other woman has a miscarriage these days, and honestly, thank God if it happens to me too because I can just have another one. 😠😢😠😢😠 She even had the nerve to insist it's because I sit and write too much. As if my urine somehow travels from my urethra directly into the gestational sac and causes chaos in there.😠
Nobody on this planet hates resting more than I do. The only reason I still go to work is because it’s mostly a desk job and my coworkers are being easy on me. Plus, I work at a hospital, so I feel safer knowing the OB-GYN department is right there. If I didn't feel the need to calm down, I wouldn't be doing this. But I'm an idiot—I don't have the mental strength to snap back at her that she had the right to decide her pregnancy, and I have the right to decide mine. Instead, I just feel guilty for disappointing her. I feel like I'm not "strong" enough because I can't just bleed, walk to her house, maybe drive her to the mall, and handle it all while delivering a perfect daughter who will struggle to meet my expectations just like I'm struggling to meet hers.
Then she starts lecturing me about how one of my colleagues decided to prioritize her scientific career first and have kids only after she becomes a big name. How she works non-stop, bought a massive 1,000-square-foot condo (while my husband and I are stuck in a studio apartment), and how her husband does all the laundry and cooking so she can just focus on her research and stack up cash...
Well, I'm thirty fucking years old, and I just passed my boards and started my PhD, damn it...🙂 what else does she want from me?🙂
Sorry for this massive shit dump, but I feel so pathetic, like absolutely no one on this planet understands me. To top it off, my husband is talking crap, telling me I'm stressing for no reason and that my nerves will hurt the little one... as if I have an On/Off switch for my emotions! And he keeps nagging me that my heart is racing too much.
Sorry again. 🙂
But this... sorry... but this is even more ridiculous than that local idiot in my neighborhood who didn't even finish high school, claiming she went to her OB-GYN and a condom got stuck in her—so she just ended up pooping it out.😲
Alright ladies, listen... this isn't actually about pregnancy, though technically it kind of is since I'm stuck at home right now 🙂 Hahaha I’ve just been scrolling through TV or browsing the web more often lately instead of sticking to the forums, lol
So, am I losing my mind??? Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against these women specifically....
Take Taylor Swift—is she really the biggest star in America? Or is that just some forced PR stunt? Is she actually a style icon? For crying out loud....
Or those headlines calling someone like Selena Gomez "absolutely stunning"... personally, I can't wrap my head around that description for her....
That stuff just really gets under my skin... hahaha I swear, I have way too much on my plate in life to be dealing with this
