So, what am I supposed to do? Go to court and ask a judge to let me post online?

It really boils down to one thing: either write your piece or walk away. Seriously, if everyone just walked away, maybe things would actually change. Though, even then, probably not—I remember when entire sections of forums would see a mass exodus of long-time members over some drama, and even after everyone left, absolutely nothing changed.

At the end of the day, an online forum is a private entity, and just like any business, they get to set their own rules. They hold all the cards here. You can cry foul and chase justice until you're blue in the face—kind of like how our former mayor used to say, "all the way to the finish line"—but it won't matter.
