It’s that classic "diffusion of responsibility" thing—you know, that feeling where everyone just stands around because they assume someone else will step up. It’s like that infamous 1964 Kitty Genovese case—stabbings in broad daylight, and yet, nobody helps or even thinks to call 911.

Back then, the whole idea was that instead of just screaming for help, you should probably point at a specific person and tell them, "Hey, you! Call the police!"
