Jonathan Brooks8 said:There isn't just one singular "moral" or "immoral"—there isn't one monolithic code. Instead, there are multiple, vastly different codes existing in parallel. They are all products of their historical context because even right now, various eras are flowing through different societies simultaneously. These spheres collide and clash in the present moment; for instance, the moral code in Denmark—which permits caricatures of the prophet Muhammad as an expression of individual liberty—clashes directly with the moral code in Iran. In both Denmark and Iran, morality is simply a state of dynamic equilibrium between various interest groups, which fluctuate in power over time...

Throughout history, there is a constant tension, a persistent striving—the unrelenting pressure to pivot from a state of subjugation toward a state of freedom. This pursuit of liberty unfolds across two distinct yet interconnected fronts: first, the struggle for freedom from one's own impulses, and second, the struggle for freedom from the system (society itself).
From a systemic perspective, every new threshold of freedom inevitably creates a previously unknown form of bondage, making it seem as though nothing truly changes—just endless variations on the theme of freedom versus constraint.
On a personal level, individuals draw ideas of liberty from society, yet they remain perpetually occupied with the same fundamental task of inner liberation; eventually, that internal shift "feeds back" into the system as an impulse for societal change.
Ultimately, the goal of the historical human experience is the simultaneous liberation of the individual from both society and the self—a process driven by the sheer necessity of our own nature.

I agree with that first sentence. But honestly, it goes deeper than that narrow context. A Man draws ideas from society; really, he pulls them from the entire social framework. Freeing a Man from other people is essentially freeing the version of the Man who was shaped by society in the first place—it’s just taken to the extreme. You can never fully break away from society as a whole.

So, what does that first paragraph actually imply? It means a Man will first partially free himself from other people, and ONLY THEN can he break free from modern society itself. Plenty of connections (Man - Society) will vanish, while others just morph into something else.

Because of that, I can't get behind the bolded part.

Fact or Fiction? in Philosophy ·
I can't get behind the idea that there’s just one single truth and one single lie for every person. It really all comes down to context—how different people view their own roles from their own unique perspectives. To me, every "truth" or "lie" is basically just proportional to what someone stands to gain, whether that's money, moral standing, or just emotional peace. Since our interests shift as we go through life, those truths and lies shift right along with them.

And let's be real, everyone involved in a situation has a different set of stakes. Every person is their own little universe, sure, but we're constantly being shaped by the other universes we collide with every day while socializing and living our lives. 😉

The Evolution of Morals: What Human Life Is Actually Worth Today

Last month, Warren Buffett (worth roughly $54 billion) snapped up a massive 17,000-square-foot estate in Manhattan. The price tag? A mere $44 million.

Meanwhile, working-class Americans are grinding away in factories for about $1 an hour.😬

You've got to think about this differently. He doesn't actually need Love; what he really needs is Peace.

Just a physical connection alone can't ever provide true Peace.
We really ought to start an entire thread just for this.

It’s pretty obvious that if a "spiritual or emotional connection" isn't genuine—if it isn't the real deal—it actually ends up draining your Peace more than anything else. In fact, that's usually where the biggest loss happens.

It would be too much... You’re looking for a whole man because you’re mature enough to know what a relationship actually costs, especially once you hit your 30s. Right now, I just can't offer that to any woman. And honestly? I can't even offer it to myself. NEVER I wasn't being sentimental. If nothing else, I know exactly who I am, and I know myself pretty damn well. After experiencing a truly intense, karmic connection, I need a long, long break—just some time to recalibrate everything about myself, in every sense of the word. 😬
Wow, that sounds like actual fun; now that you've dialed back the intensity, all that silliness just disappears. 😛

Well, for the sake of spirituality, let's try this again:

A relationship isn't just something you happen upon. Looking for something. ... though, I’ll admit, for some people, it really is.

How can you even call that relationship "real" if you need a timeout? Damn, if you need a break just to completely reconfigure yourself—and I mean in every possible sense of the word—then what exactly are you calling a "true" connection?
So, which way is your soul actually headed: back toward its own Source, or drifting away from it?

By the way, what exactly do you mean by a karmic connection? 😕

Quincy:
I’ve experienced Love three times in my Life. None of those instances were karmic. Now, I finally understand what it would feel like to be with a karmic woman... It isn't just about the romance. It's something much Higher. A direct connection with the Creator. It’s honestly hard to put these feelings—or my intuition—into words.
There's really no need for explanations here: you just have to be. I feel pretty lucky, honestly. I hope I live to see it.
Feelings and love aren't things you can just measure in a lab, and honestly, you can't really explain them away either—artists are basically the only ones who truly attempt to capture them. They're trying.)

It’s not quite as straightforward as you’re making it out to be, Lisa Morales4... You have this tendency to oversimplify things that are actually pretty complex. I used to fall into that same trap myself, but honestly, it isn't a good way to look at the world. Things just are what they are, and every single person has their own unique interface and identity. Besides, being "shackled" isn't necessarily a bad thing, Lisa Morales4... especially if you don't have anything left to give to the other side... and by that, I mean the other side of the pillow! 🙄

Are you actually calling me narrow-minded, Ronald Rogers27? 😲 😢

You've got a point there: as much as it matters to be open-minded, easygoing, and not overthink things, it's just as important not to strip away their essence by oversimplifying them.
The Truth lives in the simplest things, and when it comes to Love, everything feels effortless and pure.
(Honestly, we should probably start a whole separate thread just to talk about simplicity versus oversimplification.)
What seems impossibly complex to some people is absolute child's play to a true master or a virtuoso; it’s smooth sailing for them! They didn't get there by reducing complexity, but rather through a certain simplicity of approach that comes from passion, faith, and a genuine love for what they do.
...that's really where the connection with the Creator lies. 🙂

So, are shackles ever a good thing? 😲
Shackles belong in the depths of hell, not for God's free creations.
By force of pop—by force of thought. 🙂

When I mentioned that a Man should look at things from the perspective of "the other side," I meant that if you have nothing else to offer, you'll find yourself both receiving and giving more once you start seeing a "problem" through someone else's shoes.
That's just a fundamental value held by a happy Man in a happy society.

See, you just get it... You're sharp, just like Maya. 😬

Who said I'm searching for anything? Are you reading that I'm looking for something? (Maybe you're reading between the lines there...) I'm just trying to work on myself, because I know I can do it.

Look... It's not that I reduce my relationship with my wife to just "physical stuff," but if that's your angle, be my guest.

Source oh no, I'd probably clash with you immediately... Twenty years ago, you definitely wouldn't have liked me! 😍

But today, I'm in a different headspace, okay?

Lisa Morales4 said:If you feel like an outsider, then that's just who you are—I think I’ve said that before myself.
Generally speaking, Man's sense of alienation really started taking root back in the 20th century.

And who exactly doesn't need Peace, if you please, sir!!

Quincy:
It would be too much... You’re looking for a whole man because you’re mature enough to know what a relationship actually costs, especially once you hit your 30s. I mean, when are you finally going to step out from behind those walls and leave this selfish isolation behind? 😢 🤷
I truly believe that kind of thing would be overwhelming for you while you're still stuck in this headspace of clouded thoughts.
It’s going to be hard to find freedom as long as you keep wallowing in self-pity instead of wondering how things are on the other side of the pillow—given how detached you've become and all these unspoken barriers you've built up.

The moment a person starts practicing empathy and seeing the "other side" while living among others—that is the exact moment they break free from their chains and truly move forward. 🙂

I don't get it... Why am I isolated? I just need peace. I don't need a relationship. Not a spiritual one, not an emotional one. Maybe just physical, but I've been through too much in Life to let myself go there (just satisfying basic instincts). Why do you call that selfish isolation?

That's just not something I can offer any woman right now. And no, I have NEVER pitied myself. If anything, I know myself pretty damn well. After a heavy karmic relationship, I need a long, long break to recalibrate everything about who I am. 😬

I've felt Love three times in Life. None of those were karmic. Now I know what it looks like with a karmic partner... It isn't just about Love. It's something Higher. A connection with the Creator. It's not easy to explain my feelings. Or my intuition.

It’s not quite that linear, Lisa... You have a tendency to oversimplify complex things. I used to do that too, but it's not helpful. Things are what they are, and every person has their own unique interface and identity. Chains aren't necessarily bad... Especially if you have nothing to give to the other side... The person on the other side of the pillow! 🙄

I said I need to be alone. I need to deal with my current issues and recover from women from the North America—specifically from the North American region. 😬

Like I said, I need to fix things within myself, and that includes the whole context. And this current timing? It’s going to be incredibly hard... Well, challenges are my middle name! 😬

It’s not really about the sex... I mean, what you truly want. It’s about the whole package. It’s tied to your depression. It’s tied to your fragile mental state—which, look, I get it. You have to acknowledge that and find strength there, at least that's how I see it.

You need to get to know yourself inside and out. Once you do, you can start shifting in the directions where you actually need to define yourself. 🙏

And honestly? To make that happen, you have to be braver. You have to let some high-quality men into your life... Let them help shape you and introduce you to who you really are. 😬

Why did you mention Australia? What kind of society are you implying> and what kind of spirituality? What kind of Human are you picturing when you say Australian???

Man... I can't really wrap my head around the United States. They just seem so aggressive and blunt. As for the whole spiritual vibe, it feels like those tiny, stunted works by Andy Warhol... Not massive, just miniature versions (even though Warhol definitely wasn't a miniaturist). I imagine Australia is even more tragic. A whole continent built on the genes of hardened convicts and streetwalkers from the streets of England, deported there back in the 23rd century... Chills! 😬

What kind of person am I picturing as an Australian? Well... I have nothing but high praise for Americans... What else could I think after that first paragraph about Australians? 👎

It feels like you just have a grudge against Americans living abroad.

Even if you and I could find ourselves in that endless loop together, you're 7,000 miles away from me... And I have zero desire to travel, let alone move to Australia. That would be the last thing I'd want in my already chaotic life.

Oh, a "chaotic" life, is it? 🙄
I’m not much for packing up my whole life and moving either... unless it’s for something truly incredible—then sure, I’m all about making big changes. Otherwise, I’m pretty set in my ways. You're just picking at me for no reason and stirring things up.

My goals are much more modest. I want to get into the EU, but because of certain paperwork issues and the fact that I don't know German, it hasn't been easy. I'll figure something out eventually...

Sir, being an outsider isn't even a hassle; the EU is tiny.
Think about it: you could grab a bike tonight, ride through Mexico, and be back in America or Canada before midnight. Even heading over to St. Stephen wouldn't be bad... there's plenty of room to roam. Enough to keep you spinning in circles for the next three lifetimes.

To be honest, I'm not exactly therapy... I'm not exactly riding a white horse for the progress of Humanity, either.

I don't really follow what you're talking about or why you're bothering yourself with all this in such a short life, but it's nice to see you becoming "honest."

You even laughed.
And you're actually grateful for it.
You seem to be totally pain-free. 👍

I feel like I’m constantly packing my bags and moving from one country to the next. It’s become a way of life for me. Back in 2007, I was living in the States, then I spent a little time over in Denmark, moved back to the US, and then spent two years in Canada. Honestly, the constant moving is starting to wear me down. Right now, I'm staying in Mexico, but man, I can't help but smile thinking about being back in America.

Does success make me stronger? It does, which is why my bouts of anxiety and depression are cyclical; they are fundamentally reactive.
Could some massive success eliminate them entirely so they never feel overwhelming again? I don't know.
Success might suppress them for a significant period of time—that much is proven.

When things are as intense for me as they are, someone who hasn't experienced it simply won't understand.

I am no nobody.

briskraven28 said:My point is that people who label themselves as "spiritual" often discard anything that doesn't fit their preconceived notions of spirituality—for instance, when Shakiri claims she isn't spiritual, I actually find her quite so because of her intellect. They tend to pivot to "rationality" the moment they realize they can't win an argument logically—it's similar to how Quincy writes, though I'm only drawing that parallel to clarify my thought process, stripping away the parts that remain obscure to me and turning that fuzziness into something vaguely defined as "intuition." But intuition isn't fog; it's clear, piercing, and perceptive—and when it's truly pure, it can actually be shaped into a form of expression.
Painting isn't necessarily any easier—beyond years of mastering the tools, you need more than just sight; you need to know how to interpret what you see, since you can't cram every single detail into a canvas without losing the point. That's a much longer process than just talking—unless, of course, you're writing a novel.
Ultimately, I agree with Shakiri that humans need more; we need a challenge to truly grow. You can't achieve that if you think you already have everything you need or if you're completely satisfied—which is exactly what this kind of spirituality aims for: total contentment or peace. It’s like taking a sedative; you aren't actually at peace, you're just numb—or perhaps you've just offloaded your restlessness onto some higher power, sweeping the problem under the rug rather than actually solving it.

Well... I think challenges are part of being a spiritual being, or at least they're necessary. But they aren't enough on their own to make a Man spiritual. It’s about how you handle life's ups and downs; someone who navigates those variations more deeply is usually the more spiritual one.

I’ve said it before: suffering isn't the only thing that sparks spirituality. It's more than that. My personal mantra has always been: "burning through the curses of my own challenges"! 👍

I honestly can't believe how fast this week is flying by. It feels like I just sat down for Monday morning coffee and suddenly we're already staring down the barrel of the weekend. Time really does have a mind of its own sometimes. kaže:
😂 NJet with those supernatural abilities. 🤣 😍 I'm a fan.

I'm not. You hear me? 😬

It makes sense that you won't cross paths then, because without those specific gifts, that soul wouldn't even be able to find its way 🙂

No pain, no gain. It’s a cliché because it’s true. Real spiritual growth usually comes through some serious suffering, though it’s never that simple to explain. This was my first karmic relationship, and man, did it give me everything. I’m actually grateful for it. It had one clear purpose: to unlock my right brain. Now, I see things so much more clearly. I can simulate potential future scenarios in four dimensions, almost like I'm peering right through the wall of reality.

Life is just the Animal Kingdom, and honestly, we’re tripping over it every single day. 😬

Dialogue can sometimes be just a monologue, or rather, an emphasized monologue... tt! 😍

Exactly. But when two such "monologues" face off head-on, the interaction naturally moves mountains, and a real dialogue is born.

And yeah, you only love yourself, and only yourself...

A trick. A beautiful trick, but at least I'm successful at something, I guess.

(As for the fact that you don't know how to behave online, we'll save that for another time!) 😬

No way. We aren't meeting again. Not in this life, and definitely not in any future ones. I'll make sure of it. I've got some otherworldly powers of my own. 🙂

Her physical self is already a light-year ahead of her... and that gap just keeps widening. The body wins every time. Honestly, ID is one hell of a drug.

You need spirituality for a discussion to even start. A dialogue is a whole series of steps.

George W. Bush doesn't build community; if anything, he breaks it down.

Communication? We actually shape our own reality through dialogue.

Shared interests? The sisters serving Mother Teresa are bound by a purpose that money simply can't buy, no matter how many banks you look into.

The truth? It might sting or cause physical pain, but that’s just the body—the same body that spent half my life racing ahead of me and is now trying in slow motion to keep pace.
That’s why I look toward a truth that doesn't wound or scar the soul, but instead sets us free. 🙂

Quincy:
It had to fall.
Having such weak faith in those things...

Only a house built on sand is going to collapse, otherwise...

Quincy:
I don't know... Can you tell the difference, Lisa Morales4? Between spirituality and 50:50?
I'm not sure either... the answer lies in the dialogue.

That’s why that connection—it’s karmic, a permanent goodbye. Exactly because of what was mentioned. My word is SOLID AS ROCK.

That feels like genuine discrimination against the able-bodied.

It’s honestly no wonder that _nobody_ can tell the difference between a woman who is (and would actually be worth knowing) capable of tough dignified self-sufficiency, versus one who is just overwhelmingly "full of herself."

I don't know... Can you even tell the difference, tt? Between spirituality and 50/50? 😍
