Okay, so maybe they sound a bit like Super Mario, but that first album is an absolute gem. It’s that classic 8-bit inspired sound—they've drifted away from it a little lately, but they still definitely hold onto that signature vibe.

Personally, I think they're amazing. I'm just counting down the days until they finally tour the States.🙂

To me, it just seems like common sense that the biggest names on the bill would play somewhere in that prime window between 9 PM and 11 PM. If what we're looking at is accurate, then Rage Against the Machine will probably take up a good chunk of that slot, right? 😕

I don't really buy that, because there’s no way they’d let a headliner of that caliber just leak out like that. According to Rage Against the Machine's Myspace page, they aren't even hitting the stage until between 8 and 10 PM, and you can pretty much bet that the biggest act on the lineup is scheduled for right around then.

Anyway, looking at this year's lineup, Massive Attack is the only act I’m actually listening to, but that doesn't mean I'm going to run out and buy a ticket or start a bonfire just because they didn't book one of my absolute favorites. I'm definitely planning on catching Unknown, and if someone else gets added to the bill, great. I already paid for my pass back in November $73, so now I'm $83 for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which makes the cost pretty much the same in the end.
Feel free to keep complaining about how terrible the festival is or how it's a total disaster—whatever—but at the end of the day, it’s still the biggest music event in America.

And yeah,
urbannomad30 put it perfectly, even if he was being a bit brutal about it 😁 Honestly, the guy has a sense of humor, and I actually agree with him—Muse is garbage.

Vampire Weekend - Contra

I can’t claim to be 100% objective here because Vampire Weekend holds a massive place in my heart, but I honestly feel like they’ve reached a new level of maturity on this record. They might have lost a bit of that frantic, playful energy that defined their early stuff, but the core essence of their style is still very much intact. What I’m struggling with, though, is... Cousins Since they picked that for the lead single, I'm torn. Would "Holiday" or "Giving up the Gun" have been a better fit?
All in all, it’s a really solid effort.👍

Give me a break, Lollapalooza is lightyears ahead of Coachella...just look at the number of stages, the attendance, the lineups, everything. Sure, the organization is a mess because they screw something up every single year, but right now their electronic lineup is killer. I’d love to see some of those acts make it over to our side (Daft Punk, Crystal Castles).
