Thanks for all the advice, everyone! Just finished up my PET/CT today and everything looks good so far 👍
Man, as long as it doesn't hurt, I guess I'll be fine. 😉
Hopefully, I’ll actually have enough energy to even step foot outside later. 🤣

as soon as you walk into the first room, they give you an IV—honestly, I have no clue what’s actually in the bag, but it goes by super fast..
then you just head over to the next room with the fluid in you.

Thanks 👍

So, where do you go once the PET scan is all wrapped up?
So, wait... you're saying nothing's happening with the IV?

Before you even start looking things up, honestly, just follow the instructions they give you. You aren't going to run into any issues with the order of operations or anything else if you just stick to the plan. The room where you lie down is basically right next to the room with the PET CT scanner, and while you're waiting, you drink this specific liquid, then you head in for the actual scan. Personally, I felt pretty comfortable, though I guess I should mention that maybe wear a thicker shirt? I was actually freezing during the scanning part. The scan itself just takes a little longer than a standard CT, and that's really about it. Oh, and one more thing... it doesn't take an hour; it's more like thirty minutes. The whole appointment usually wraps up in about an hour and a half or so..
Hope that helps! 🙂

Thanks! 👍

Wait, what kind of liquid is it that you have to drink? Isn't it just the glucose they give you through the IV, or is there some other extra stuff involved?
So, I was wondering about the whole PET/CT process. Like, after they inject the tracer, what kind of room are you actually stuck in for that hour? Is it just a regular waiting area, or something else? Also, what does the actual PET scan look like—is it basically just a standard CT scan, or is there more to it?

Exeter City vs. Orlando City @1.90
So, I was looking at this matchup, and man, things are looking pretty dicey for the visitors. The away manager basically admitted they’re showing up with a skeleton crew—only about 14 healthy players available. They’ve got six guys out on the injury list (Arikan, Gungor, Dagasan, Promise, Gokcek, and Sismanoglu), plus two more who are basically walking wounded and totally questionable (Arslan and Tandogan). It’s a mess, honestly. On top of that, the home side is absolutely desperate; they basically need this win just to keep their survival hopes alive and stay in the hunt. Might be worth watching.
Hey there, it's me again 🙂

So, we just had our second CT scan, and it turns out things are regressing even further. Honestly, the doctor is pretty stoked about it. We're looking at a partial remission right now, but we'll be doing a PET scan in three weeks to see if we can officially call it a complete remission. Fingers crossed, I guess!

I could probably ditch this 😁 at the end.

Nah, I think wiredcanyon39 is tied up right now.
Does anyone know if there are nurses in New York City who do house calls for medical stuff? Like, helping out someone who's sick, managing medications, or just general nursing care at home?
So, we finally got those unnamed ampules delivered for home use, and I was just wondering—is it super important to give them at the exact same time every day?

3.30 2.00 3.60

I've been looking at this matchup, and honestly, I don't think a double chance bet is even worth the hassle here—the odds are just too low. Then again, looking at it from another angle, this game could go absolutely any way, maybe even end in a dead heat or some weird peaceful draw...

So, my take? I feel like Shakhtar is going to push for the win regardless of what happened before. They’re playing at home, they aren't carrying any extra baggage unlike Juventus FC, and they play really beautiful football. Plus, who wouldn't love seeing a massive European giant get knocked out once in a while? 😁

Juventus FC, on the other hand, basically *has* to win (unless maybe Moggi somehow greased some palms under the table 😬), because at the end of the day, you can't rely on luck—it's better to just take control of your own fate

So, after crunching all the numbers, subtracting this and adding that, and just thinking about it in a totally layman's way, I reckon the move here is Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals at 2.60. I just have a feeling there will be plenty of action. Either it'll be one of those boring stalemates ending in a draw, or it'll just turn into a total shootout where anything goes. That match in Turin was fantastic, and if you ask me, Shakhtar actually looked the better side. I'm really hoping they show today that their performance wasn't just a fluke, because that's the only thing that's clicking for me right now. Anyway, good luck to everyone 👍

The odds are tempting, but I'm playing it safe and just taking Both Teams to Score, since I'm pretty much banking on a 1-1 result.🤷

Just a little piece of advice—maybe try trusting the doctor to actually do their job. I mean, everything has gone according to plan so far, right? I totally get how hard it is to stay objective when you're dealing with your kid, but you're kind of going to have to learn to live with that lifelong uncertainty. Sadly, there's just no guarantee that a disease won't decide to make a comeback after remission.
What I can personally promise you is that they are in excellent hands. Hematology here in the States is probably one of our most advanced medical specialties. We've got world-class experts everywhere. It’s just a shame that unnamed decided to jump into politics instead.

Oh, I know, I totally believe them, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask just to stay informed.😉
Here I am again with more questions, mostly because I always seem to forget the most important stuff when I'm actually standing in front of the doctor. 🙂 So, basically, my kid was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma about six months ago. He’s already gone through three rounds of chemo—specifically the R-CHDP regimen—and an MSCT scan showed he hasn't hit full remission yet. He just finished his third round, and we’re pretty much at the end of this stretch. We went in for a checkup today, and honestly, I was fully expecting the doctor to just order a CT scan right then and there. Instead, they told us to wait a month for the scan, and then do bloodwork after that, before coming back for a follow-up in mid-January. Now I'm just sitting here wondering... why the delay? Why not just do the CT now? It feels like dragging things out for another month just adds a whole extra layer of anxiety while we wait to find out how things are actually looking.

Honestly, grabbing a double win against those guys from Kyiv feels like such insane value at @7.00 in the SS sportsbook... I mean, it’s gotta be better than taking the handicap at @3.8, right?

Maybe someone here wants to play nice, but honestly? I might just try a 1:1 approach just for the hell of it 🤷

Honestly, if you ask me, they should probably just run for it and skip out on the Champions League tomorrow—unless, of course, those guys from Kyiv actually find their rhythm. There's just such a massive gap in quality here, plus they’ve been struggling big time this season. Maybe a quick, easy win would help them finally get some peace and quiet at home? I wouldn't be surprised if Zenit manages to sneak in a goal, too. I'm kind of hoping they finally show up tomorrow and secure a spot in the Europa League.
Angela Wright said:Between blood work and PET scans, I guess it really just comes down to whatever the doctor decides based on the specific situation. For intervals, maybe a PET scan happens once a year? I honestly can't say for sure.

So why go with a PET scan instead of an MRI? Isn't an MRI way easier on the body?
