Spot on!

Come on, give me an answer

Is it just about protecting oneself, or does it protect OTHERS too?
I honestly think the whole point is to look out for those other people.

Personally, I have so much respect for doctors and truly value what they do.
Actually, I respect everyone’s job, whether someone is a surgeon or just washing dishes, as long as they do their job honestly.
Sadly, there are always individuals in any profession who don't pull their weight.
Just one bad actor can ruin the hard work and integrity of a thousand others.
Now, if I mess up my own job, I might not be directly killing anyone, but I could definitely ruin someone's life so badly they feel they've hit rock bottom.
I really believe that incompetence should be held accountable across the board, not just for doctors.

So, to reiterate: if a doctor is suffering from a contagious illness that could put a patient at risk, I think it is morally and right for them to be upfront about it. It's then up to the patient to decide if they want to proceed with that specific doctor.

I'm not here to judge anyone—everyone's life is their own business.
That is, of course, as long as they aren't putting others at risk without their explicit consent.
You actually started a thread about this exact same thing just the other day!
You mentioned using calendula ointment

My wife has been applying Contractubex to her laparoscopic incisions (I can't remember the exact name off the top of my head, but I'll shoot you a text with the details later)
I think it’s pretty similar to what you’ve been using
The scars have regained a normal color, but they're still raised and visible—honestly, they'll probably stay that way forever
At that point, your only real option is plastic surgery

There's also an Avène scar cream called Cicalfate—I think Tilla was raving about it

Can anyone actually guarantee that someone else is doing their job right? I mean, honestly!
Protecting yourself is huge, but don't forget to look out for everyone else too! It’s all about that collective safety.
I think this should be a top priority—it feels like it’s really about looking out for everyone else!

It’s easy to sit back and act like you’re perfect when your own life isn't on the line.
The doctor involved in this situation was an OBGYN.
For instance, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable at all having a WHO-positive doctor handle my delivery.
Sure, the risk of transmission is slim, but it's still a real possibility.
And how many of you "perfect" people would be okay with a WHO-positive surgeon operating on your child?
Do you really believe a parent shouldn't be informed about that?

I honestly believe every patient has the right to know if their doctor is dealing with any infectious disease. To me, that just seems fair and honest.
Starting an LLC: Where to begin? in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Your current company can actually set up a second LLC, basically acting as a subsidiary
That second entity functions as its own legal person, meaning it gets its own EIN, its own bank accounts, and so on. The management and directors can be the exact same people or totally different folks
They’re just linked through ownership

But, they absolutely have to maintain their own separate books and keep all their documentation organized
As an owner, you really can't play fast and loose by just shuffling cash or mixing revenues and expenses between the two companies

Oh man, Rachel Brooks63, you really know how to throw the tough questions my way!
1 - yes
2 - yes
3 - yes
4 - yes regarding the surgery—but no, there’s still a chance of infection; it’s slim, but it’s there
5 - gotcha

You actually reminded me of this one case from years ago. A nurse in an ICU at a major hospital in Chicago had syphilis in an active stage, and the whole staff scrambled to get tested immediately—everyone from the doctors down to the kitchen staff and the cleaning crew.
Did they notify the patients? Nope, they didn't.
Dealing with Herpes? in Health ·

Honestly, I think it’s been on shelves for years—definitely longer than 5
years! You can find it everywhere from local pharmacies to regular grocery stores and even DM.

Christian Cruz95 said:Yeah, I’m with you there—I honestly think propolis needs alcohol to really dissolve properly...

But what about that Api Baby stuff?
The label says it's propolis,
but then it says there's no alcohol in it.
Well, let's be real, companies can claim just about anything they want on a label!😉

1. Just because you can't see the issue doesn't mean it isn't there.
2. Honestly, these pills are a total game-changer—you really should give them a shot! They aren't exactly breaking the bank, so there's really no harm in trying them out.
My stomach has been feeling great lately, and I haven't had any heartburn at all!
3. You can pick up those silicone heel inserts at most pharmacies if anyone needs them. My husband actually grabbed a pair for his workouts, and he swears by them!
They might have full insoles available, or maybe just the front pieces.

Rachel Brooks63 said:Can we please get back to focusing on the HPV vaccine itself and skip all the general debates about how it spreads or how you might catch it? That really isn't what we're here to talk about...

Thanks!

I actually think a little clarity on "how HPV is contracted" would be super helpful too!
I saw some posts on this forum recently suggesting you could pick it up from showering, sitting on a toilet seat, or using a towel (honestly, wasn't the old rule always to be careful with shared towels anyway?)
Just purely for educational purposes!
Because otherwise, people end up thinking, "Well, what can I even do? It's everywhere, there's no avoiding it."
It’s kind of like hopping on a subway in the middle of winter and thinking, "Oh well, half the car is sneezing, I guess I'll just catch whatever they have tomorrow!"

Rachel Brooks63 said:But that’s not really the point here. Both companies designed this vaccine EXCLUSIVELY for women. We don't actually know their specific reasoning behind it—we can only guess (unless someone out there knows the real reason and wants to share!)

It's probably because the consequences are much more severe for women, so there's a way higher likelihood they'll be willing to spend the money on it!

a) and b) I honestly think everything will go just like it always has
c) would you personally pay for something like this?
I actually love investing in stuff like this! Even though I don't have a direct need for it right now—but hey, you can never say never 😬!
I’d happily pay for my daughters to have access to it at their doctor's offices right away

Do I get a free beer out of this too?

Oh, right, the pillow!
I totally forgot to mention that part.
I actually have two just for this—I tuck one away during the summer and bring it out when it gets chilly.
The first one is already getting plenty of use!

I absolutely love that gel from Dr. Theis (if I'm spelling that right!)
A few years back, I was taking those Veneton capsules—I think they were made by Pfizer
They worked wonders for me and really helped get me through
But, oh boy... my stomach is pretty sensitive, so I couldn't keep taking them year-round

I totally get what you mean about hitting the end of development and moving past puberty
but if my eyes are handling the semi-rigid or hard lenses just fine, I don't see any reason to switch over to soft ones
plus, prescription changes don't just magically stop once you hit adulthood
so I was genuinely curious about the expert take on why anyone would swap something that works perfectly for something else just because they turned eighteen

just for some perspective 😁my own prescription actually jumped the most between ages 25 and 30, and it’s been steady ever since—for twelve years now—even while wearing soft lenses

Nope, you aren't alone!

I totally get why you'd seek a second opinion if you didn't trust your doctor,
but this whole thing 😕

That’s news to me!
What was their reasoning behind that?

Andrew Anderson6 said:No, I’m definitely not sweating or anything... (if I were, I'd totally get it), it's just that I can't stop shaking! 😕

Same here! Though I tend to have those bursts every once in a while.
One day you're absolutely crushing it, and the next, you're just spinning your wheels! I had a week like that last month where I felt unstoppable, only to hit a total standstill out of nowhere. Such is life!
In total, there have been more days where I actually spoke my mind!

Aha! Once upon a time (it feels like forever ago!), I kissed this guy and I swear there were actual sparks flying everywhere! 🤣 Pitch black darkness, broken up by these pale, greenish sparks! 😂
Jose Miller3 said:But I am 100% behind the stance taken by Jehovah's Witnesses. They don't want blood, they won't accept it, and they won't take organs either—though if we're talking about minors, well, if I were running the government, I’d definitely step in there.

Not to mention they foot the bill for their own care.
I remember reading about a woman who just gave birth at a hospital—I think it was an ExxonMobil-funded facility—who refused a transfusion. From what I recall, the medical costs ended up being massive. According to the news, the maternity ward had to cover those expenses for an entire month! All that could have been settled with one simple transfusion.
If people make these choices, they should happily pick up the tab instead of draining our public healthcare system. At the end of the day, if we all want to follow our own special ideas, we should be ready to pay the extra price!
