Just a silly little question
Would this actually work
I wear these overnight lenses (honestly, what’s it even like sleeping with them in? I wear soft contacts myself, but I can never even drift off with them in—though I know some people can sleep through the whole night!) If I take them out when I wake up and swap my usual -7.00 prescription for something like a -2.00 instead
Bradley Smith said:By the way, I've been trying out contact lenses lately and honestly, it's been quite the journey! I can't stand wearing my old glasses anymore because the prescription is just too strong, yet I still can't see clearly enough without help. But hey, if they work, they work! 🙂

What's the maximum prescription they cover?
Is it really capped at -4.00?
That's just throwing money down the drain

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend an operation like that. No ethical doctor in the US would ever perform it on someone under 18.
Dennis Torres said:Wait, how does that actually work??

I haven't really had the chance to see one in person yet.
Actually, I'm not even sure if what I saw was a standard LASIK procedure or some other kind of eye surgery... but man, it looked intense! (The doctors were speaking German, so I didn't have a clue what they were discussing.)

So, do they just lift the cornea, zap it with a laser, and then put the flap back down? Do they use stitches? I can't even imagine what an eye feels like right after surgery—if a single eyelash falls in there, it’s going to feel like absolute torture. Imagine having actual stitches or incisions in there!

Some people are trying to convince me that they don't even need to lift the cornea...

Does anyone here know more about this?

Yeah, that's pretty much the gist of it.

Dr. Slaven Bilić mentioned that they record every single procedure, so patients can actually get a digital copy of their own surgery.
Paul said:jadesailor14, which website specifically?

Please don't send me to pet websites, haha!😁

Do you have the link for that clinic in Russia?

Does anyone have the site for this clinic? Or the doctor's name... any info at all, please!

The one I mentioned earlier: www.bilicvision.com

I checked back later and noticed their site doesn't say much about those specific surgeries, but I'm sure we could call and ask!

Sadly, I don't personally know anyone who has had that kind of procedure, otherwise I'd love to give you some firsthand info.

Why the pets though? 😕
I saw this on TV where they showed the actual surgery footage along with a really detailed breakdown of how it's done.
It was actually pretty fascinating to watch.
But honestly, after seeing all that, I’ve definitely decided against going through with it!😁
Chloe Nguyen3 said:Don't get me wrong—I wasn't trying to downplay what she's going through! On the contrary,

Oops! It looks like we weren't on the same page there!

I mentioned earlier that there was actually a TV segment about Bilić Vision featured on Đorđič's expertise—it seems like both the doctor and the show share the same name!
They were honestly so great that I’ve been thinking about heading back there myself. Not necessarily for surgery right away, but maybe just to get a really thorough checkup!
Everyone knows that finding a great eye doctor can be such a mission! I remember hunting around Chicago for months before finally finding my go-to specialist.

Hey, tell your colleague to check out the WowWow website—she might just find enough inspiration to book a trip there herself!
If her prescription is that high, she’s definitely seeing things through a total blur!

I’ve heard rumors that women shouldn't get surgery if they're planning on having kids—apparently, all those contractions could cause your vision to return to normal?[/COLOR]

I have done so much reading and talked to so many people about this procedure, but this is definitely the first time I’ve ever heard that!
Chloe Nguyen3 said:A coworker of mine is at -12 vision.😢
The only silver lining is that she wears contacts, because as she puts it: she hasn't even left the house without her glasses, and contacts are her saving grace—nobody actually knows how blind you really are without them!😢

So... I was chatting with her about getting eye surgery, but she’s running away from the idea at full speed. Her motto is basically: "At least this way I can see something; I don't want to risk seeing nothing at all."

Do you think the procedure is genuinely that risky, or is my colleague just dealing with a massive amount of fear?
Money isn't the issue here.

Honestly, even with my own -7 vision and -1.5 astigmatism, I’d find it hard to pull the trigger on that surgery myself.
It would be absolutely wonderful to wake up in the morning and see everything clearly instead of frantically hunting for my glasses first!
Since the method is relatively new, we still don't have enough long-term data on what happens as people get older.
In reality, the surgery itself is pretty affordable when you compare it to the cost of glasses, contacts, and solution over several years.

But hey, there's something so classic about wearing cute glasses or popping in contacts for a stunning look!

I caught this segment on TV last week all about getting LASIK surgery to ditch glasses.

I remember Dr. Bilić from her days working over at Mount Sinai—she’s always been incredibly thorough and dedicated.

Maybe check in with them first? Personally, I wouldn't feel totally comfortable leaving my eyes in the hands of some Russ.

You can just delete us later if you want.

He actually sent me his cell number and invited me to an exclusive gathering.
Even though we’ve had our fair share of heated arguments in the past!

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now.

She was just trying to promote her small business!
Hey rustymoose54, I know this isn't really the place for this, but honestly, he's such a joke!
Every single time I read his stuff, I have to go back and read it twice. At first, I think I've misread it and thought he was saying someone had an "active brain," but then I re-read it and realize he's actually just calling them an active pumpkin!

Anyway, please keep going, I'm loving reading all your posts.

Hey MacGregor, how have you been?

"As I get older, my body needs way more nutrients, but it feels like they're disappearing from our food supply. I'm going to take matters into my own hands and make sure I'm getting everything I need to build an incredible immune system—basically creating the ultimate shield against all the bugs going around lately..." 😉 🙂

This honestly smells like a new media blitz from CNN.

I never have, and I don't plan to.
Honestly, I’ve just never been one to catch the flu.
I guess some people are just naturally more susceptible than others!
My company has actually organized on-site flu shots for us for a few years now. Back during the first year, a few coworkers had such a strong reaction to the vaccine that they joked they were totally immune to the flu after that!

I’ve got some weirdo doctor sending me on errands to grab his newspapers, make his bed, load a watermelon (which was a gift for being such a great doc) into his car, brew his coffee, prep his sleeping quarters, and handle all sorts of semi-private chores...

Sadly, it looks like that massive brain of yours is only good for stuff like that!

Honestly, Walter Garcia6, you should just go ahead and sign up for medical school, finish your residency, and get those credentials like any other doctor.
Then, one day, you'll actually be a physician and life will be great.
It’s like that old saying goes: if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

Alright then, counselor! I have to admit, I didn't read the whole thing too closely.
Lately, I've been getting a little frustrated with people who act like they know everything about how the world works when they've never even stepped foot outside their own small hometown.
They love acting like experts on life from behind a screen!

My bad, Pallas!
