I was expecting someone slim and athletic, not a middle-aged guy with some extra padding... 🙂

Wow, someone's being spicy! 😬

Given all those sexist jokes flying around, I was actually expecting some twenty-something hunk.

Besides, if he’s supposed to be fit after all those powders he takes, then what's even the point of chugging that stuff?
Wait, is that really you in that last photo???
I honestly always picture you as some twenty-something kid, but then I see you looking like a distinguished gentleman!

Plus, we actually grew up in the same city!

Me too, me too!
Seriously, I really like nimbleskipper13.
Even though I'm a local from New York City myself!

Mac, honey, you really need to step off your high horse.
It's obvious nobody is taking you seriously.
You haven't managed to sell a single Herbalife product on this forum. You're just a total amateur.

I actually know a killer spot you have to try... 🙂 👍 😉

Jose Miller3 said:They’re way too buttery. Every single recipe calls for a ton of butter. Some people just aren't fans of that...

Total tangent here, but I honestly feel like this whole thread has been one giant detour since day one!

Way back at the start, before we even got into specific recipes, I mentioned that these are my own family classics passed down to me. I definitely don't use nearly as much butter or sugar as the measurements suggest. Some of these are recipes my mom used to whip up when I was just a little kid.
I actually swap out most—if not all—of the butter for heavy cream quite often.
Some people crave that rich, buttery texture, but if you're not feeling it, just try using cream instead of butter or margarine.

Ouch, well now I'm feeling a little insulted!

What's wrong with my cookies?

Wait, hold on—could the flour be the culprit here? I actually had a similar mishap when I was baking cookies last weekend!
Hey everyone! Just a quick heads-up to those who have been copying my dessert recipes—if you're going to use them, please be a pal and give credit by adding "Herbalife" in the ingredients list! It would mean the world to me. Thanks!

Oh my gosh, I totally forgot to include you in the group! My bad.
You should definitely jump in.
The same goes for anyone else interested.
We could even host the experiment at the Rose Bowl—they aren't using the space anyway!

nimbleskipper13 said:Hmmmm.. I once heard that phrase about people who "eat like a rabbit—just nibbling away." Does that actually sound like anyone using Herbalife? 🙂

It definitely could be!
I can't say the same for the folks at Texas Roadhouse, though.

2 - wow, just because something grows in a field doesn't mean everyone is going to believe it's actual food, right? .. 😁

3 - Vitamin C isn't a medicine, yet it helps when you have a cold, right? Chamomile isn't a medicine, but it still helps... you get the idea. We're talking about HEALING here, not just treating symptoms... 🙂

4 - Are you really suggesting they're all chemical??? 😁

5 - That’s just your opinion! Honestly, I’d love to see how you feel after drinking that "blended powder"—whether you're actually satisfied or just hungry, and how your body reacts afterward.. 😉

6 - Hehe, no problem! But even you would notice the difference between someone living on nothing but burgers and someone using Herbalife.. 😎

I WANT TO BE HEALED.

Look, I'm more than happy to step up and publicly test the healing powers of your food so I can share the results with everyone.
It's a great chance for you to expand your market and, of course, boost your earnings.
So, when does this experiment start?

Regarding point number 6, I've only got one old-school saying for you: "self-praise is no recommendation."
And as they say, "if nobody else is going to sing my praises, I guess I'll have to do it myself!"

Me too!!!] 🎉 🎉 🎉

Oh please, please... can I be the treasurer? Pretty please? 😈

No way.
Since I work in finance, I'm definitely the most qualified one here to handle the cash!

But you could totally be the president, given your medical background.
Who knows, I might actually need some emergency medical care after my treatment!

Come on, mistybear4, give us the lowdown! How exactly do thyroid issues tie into menopause symptoms?
It doesn't matter if we're talking about teenagers or retirees.

I wouldn't say it's a "women" problem, per se. It seems more like he's struggling with some physiological stuff.
I have a feeling that Herbalife might be messing with his circulation.

mistybear4 said:First, maybe learn the alphabet and start figuring out the difference between what counts as food and what counts as medicine! 😉

Over 2,500 years ago, the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates, said:
Let food be your medicine, rather than making your medicine your food! I always say this whenever I'm meal prepping for the week.

Look, let's be clear: Herbalife isn't a medicine and it doesn't "cure" anything. Think of it as pure food! Your body uses those nutrients to focus on cellular nutrition, basically repairing itself from the inside out to fix the gaps that caused the issues in the first place. I’ve found that it’s not even about what you're eating—it's really about what you're *not* eating. It all ties together perfectly when you look at it that way! 😉

You’re going to be a customer for life—you'll realize that sooner or later, whether it takes one, five, or even ten years! 😁
If we were talking about some serious medical research, I might actually be on board, but since this is all about food, you know how it goes!
I always say, you really are what you eat! I was just reading this article about how much our daily meals shape our energy levels, and it totally hit home for me. My morning smoothie makes me feel like I can conquer the world, but one greasy burger later and I'm ready for a nap! 😘 🙂 " ... 😎 😁

Hold on a second! You mentioned that this is a dietary supplement, not actual food. I mean, you can't exactly grow Herbalife in a backyard garden or find it hanging around a farm somewhere!

I wouldn't bother with Hippocrates. But if you want to talk about Benedict Koturljevic, I'm all in—that's right up my alley!

At the end of the day, the consumer doesn't really care if you call it a supplement or a medicine, as long as it actually works! Based on the properties you just laid out, Herbalife definitely functions more like a medication.

That plan was put together so carefully by actual experts that we can definitely call it a legitimate medical study. I mean, what was I supposed to include instead—electricians, plumbers, and drywallers?

As for that latest offer... honestly, you can count me out. I just don't consider a processed powder to be actual food. Not by a long shot!
Feed me some BBQ and a cold beer, and I promise the little guy won't even remember his own name!

I’m actually super curious about that too!

I’ve got a little proposal for you!

Since Herbalife handles everything from occasional skin allergies and asthma to arthritis, chronic sinusitis, and bronchitis—and since I’m also dealing with Hashimoto myself—why don't you go ahead and prescribe me that therapy, mistybear4?
You can have a dedicated monitoring team made up of rustymoose54, Jose Miller3, nimbledriver81, and nimbleskipper13 track my progress and results.
I'll be back to 100% in no time, and you'll have a group of very grateful ladies bowing down to you!
Hopefully, it won't kill me first!
Of course, since this is basically a medical study, I'll be expecting a sample of that precious formula right away during the testing phase.
Once I'm healed, I'll be a customer for life!

Listen, honey, if your hormone levels are looking good, it just means your doctor really knows her stuff.

The thyroid is such a big deal, and it can cause some seriously major issues if you decide to just stop taking your meds and try treating it with chamomile tea instead.
You’ve got to trust your medical expertise on this one!
mistybear4 said:When I was a little kid, I used to call every random older guy "Mister," and honestly, it felt totally natural to me! For some reason—God knows why—I knew they weren't actually my uncle, but I just did it anyway. I wonder if that says something about a little void in my life that I still haven't quite moved past? 😁

If that doctor was significantly older than the woman who called him "old timer," then I'd say it’s pretty standard—maybe even a little playful! It definitely doesn't strike me as an insult. As for why he got so worked up, that's a whole different story; honestly, he probably would have lost his cool even if she had called him "Chief" or something similar! 😉

Being rude or disrespectful just isn't acceptable, regardless of how old someone is or what their job title might be! There's no excuse for bad manners. At the end of the day, class is something you learn through life experience—it’s definitely not something you can just buy at a store. 🙂

I honestly can't wrap my head around why some people think it's okay to call random men or casual acquaintances "uncle." It just feels so weird to me!
Don't try to tell me how people talk in Washington, D.C.! I was born right there in D.C. forty-one years ago, and even as a little kid, I used to address men as "sir." My uncles were nothing but wonderful—truly great—friends of my parents. But once I hit about ten years old, I stopped calling them "uncle" altogether!
I truly believe that everyone deserves our respect, no matter who they are—whether it’s someone experiencing homelessness or anyone else you might meet on the street. At the end of the day, how we treat others says everything about our own character and how we were raised!
I actually do the exact same thing! I still address my colleagues in their 20s with "Sir" or "Ma'am" because, honestly, we aren't just babysitting a flock of sheep here. With some people, we'll eventually transition to a more casual vibe, but with others, the professional respect stays exactly where it belongs!
If you ask me, both of them were pretty rude in this situation. The doctor was a bit worse, though, since he actually started swearing!

Phew, thank God!
You guys finally figured out that just because food is labeled "healthy," it doesn't mean it actually is.
