I was constantly feeling lightheaded, seeing spots, my skin on my fingertips was cracking, and I couldn't stop my eyes from twitching.
I don't know if it was just a coincidence, but since I started eating homemade bread regularly again (a mix of whole wheat and white flour), those issues have vanished.😉
That said, I don't think you're actually going to end up in the hospital because of it.
So, you were on a "crazy" diet and now you're convinced bread was the missing link? 😉
Personally, I can go days without touching bread. It's not that I think it's toxic—though who knows, maybe someone here will convince me otherwise😁—it’s just that I don't eat it alongside potatoes, pasta, rice, or things like that.🙂
And no, the idea that skipping bread will land you in the ER is just plain false.🙄
I remember reading about a specific way of eating on a thread once that I actually consider the gold standard. I wouldn't even call it a "diet"; it's more of a nutritional principle. It’s the ADA approach, originally designed for diabetics, where foods are categorized into groups: proteins and substitutes, grains and substitutes...
Anything you don't want to eat for whatever reason can simply be replaced by something else within that same food group. This is why all the bickering about nutrition gets under my skin. Most people just pick an idea, stick it in their heads, and start arguing without any actual substance behind it...🙄
