Sarah Harris5 said:hehe rustyrider20, once you have kids, they’re definitely gonna be asking if that's just your little brother or sister 😁

And it’s actually doable—believe it or not.🤣🤣People have already asked me a few times if that’s my dad in the photos—even though my husband is standing right there next to me... so let's just set the record straight: it's Dad taking his daughter and son out for a walk.
Well, there you have it—at least now I know I’m not the only one. Your turn is coming, too. Get ready for a sibling to drop into your life any second now. 😁
Sarah Harris5 said:I look pretty youthful (not that I’m bragging or anything), so people usually guess I'm five years younger than I actually am. Basically, they think I'm 20. Now when I'm walking around town, everyone eyes my belly, looks up at my face, and then looks back down at my stomach like, "Wait, she's that young and already pregnant?" 😂😂
Does this happen to anyone else?

A few times now, women at the 7-Eleven have actually asked if I was 18 while I was buying cigarettes... and I was losing my mind! Before, being told I looked young used to get under my skin—but now? Not a chance. I'm finally proud of this bump and actually looking like a pregnant woman, so for them to ask me that...😠...and these are just the convenience stores right by my apartment building that I pass EVERY single day.
The absolute dumbest question I've ever heard: "Wait, why didn't you post that on Facebook?! You're always posting nonsense, then finally something important happens and you don't even share it!"
Pure stupidity #2: "Why didn't you tell us sooner?! I would've blasted that on Facebook immediately!! Come on, post a picture so we can all hit 'Like'!!"
Honestly, it’s all pointless—Facebook is just a place to scroll through mindless garbage and save some data... I shared my news with the people who actually matter to me. It gives me zero satisfaction to have some stranger click a button, drop a "congrats," and then start pestering me with invasive questions about due dates, gender, names, etc.

Everyone keeps whining about how people lack manners toward pregnant women... 🤷 I don't know about that. The other day, when I was heading to the clinic to pick up some results—and the line for the elderly was already backed up before the window even opened—people were actually letting me cut ahead. It was the same thing at the other hospital I visited. My cards and wallet slipped out of my bag, and instead of ignoring me, a staff member leaned down right away to help me grab them. Even at a massive supermarket where the clerks usually act like helping customers is a chore, one woman came straight over and rang up exactly what I pointed to in two or three quick swipes—no eye-rolling, no dramatic sighs. I don't know—maybe there was just something different in the air that day.
A friend caught me totally off guard today—she showed up in this dress... said it was from two days ago and just sitting in her closet, so she figured someone should actually wear it 😍... Honestly, it’s stunning. So romantic, exactly my style... I felt myself melting the second I slipped it on 😍.
What really struck me, though, was how lovely it was just grabbing coffee with her. We kept things light—just chatting about everything under the sun—and we barely even touched on the baby topic... It surprised me how much insight she had; she’s so incredibly understanding, which is a perspective I'm only just starting to grasp myself. And get this: she didn't even try to poke at my stomach—unlike some other "friends" who, the moment they say "hey girl!" immediately go for the belly.
It was genuinely refreshing 🙂, because usually, hanging out with the girls can be such a drain—the conversation always spirals into pregnancy and kids... 🤷 I don't know, maybe people think that's the only thing there is to talk about, like I'm just waiting for them to show interest in my pregnancy..

My bump gave me a surprise too... just like how 🤔 4 weeks ago it seemed to appear overnight, it's happened again—it jumped up a size practically while I slept. I felt a little tightness for 2 or 3 days and then—boom. Now I finally look like I'm actually pregnant, because before this, people rarely noticed unless I was wearing something tight; most just thought I'd had a massive lunch 😉... and frankly, about time I actually looked seven months pregnant 😂
I was actually pretty stunned today by how decent people were on the bus—a pregnant woman with a kid hopped on and three people immediately jumped up to give her their seats... and I'm talking older ladies here, since I was basically the only young person on the bus. Then, a few stops later, this guy gets on with a four or five-year-old, and once again, people just stood up and gave up their spots... honestly, it's hard to believe 🙂
Tyler Ruiz502 said:My personal lifesaver? The Extravagance body butter. It is an absolute necessity for those winter days when the central heating is cranked up to a ridiculous degree and the air gets so dry no amount of wet towels hanging over the radiators can fix it. My skin just starts peeling and tightening up—it’s miserable.

Anyway, that stuff has been a total game-changer for me; my skin actually feels nourished from that miracle cream. It’s packed with coconut butter, shea butter, hemp oil, and beeswax... you can grab it at Target for about $7 or so.

Wait, is that the one in those fancy little tin containers? Honestly, I’d buy it just to keep the tin later. 😁 Personally, I swear by pure unrefined coconut oil—I keep a massive tub $33 on hand. I use it for everything: cooking, moisturizing my skin and hands, lip balm, even as a hair mask.
Kate Cox2 said:I don't know if you happened to catch that commercial for those organic baby products—you know the one, where the mom gives the little one a kiss and he just peacefully closes his eyes...😍😍😍
I haven't even been able to finish watching the ad; my eyes start welling up the second I see that baby's face..🙄

That used to be me—watch a commercial and suddenly it’s a monsoon in my living room. Honestly, it was the same deal back when I was on birth control... Now that I've been off the pill for about a month, I'm officially immune to that kind of emotional extravagance😁—I just stick to watching comedies on Netflix instead.😉
Benjamin Roberts5 said:Honestly, my hormones have been the biggest curveball of this whole experience—and they’re still throwing me for loops.

I feel like I’m losing my mind sometimes with the constant crying fits and mood swings... one minute I’m on top of the world, and the next, it feels like everything is falling apart. 🙄
I think my husband is reaching his breaking point with me. Seriously, I don't think I've ever cried this much in my entire life. Everything hits me so hard right now, and there's just nothing I can do to stop it.

That’s definitely the wildest part of being pregnant. Everything else has been pretty great so far. 🙏
I just really hope it stays that way until the baby arrives.

Most people's comments or opinions about my pregnancy don't even phase me anymore. ☕
Well, except for when I'm out at the grocery store or riding the subway... people get so aggressive if you don't let them cut in line, even if you look like you're about to pass out. 🙂

I sign off on ALL of that... except for the very last part. I'm still mobile and feeling light enough that it doesn't bother me having to stand up.

These damn hormones...😠yesterday I was sobbing all day long, then today it's like I'm in some paradise garden skipping through flowers and chocolate.🙄.
I don't even care about the comments, the staring, or the people eyeing me from head to toe or checking out my belly anymore.
And all those unsolicited pieces of advice? I'm totally tuning them out.
Jacob Castillo60 said:I don't really mind other people being around, but I absolutely cannot stand anyone touching my stomach area!

Plus, my skin has become incredibly dry lately, and no matter what I try, nothing seems to work quite right; I actually tried mixing some raw shea butter with almond oil myself to keep things completely natural, but honestly, it’s only providing temporary relief, because even as I'm typing this, the skin on my hands feels so tight it's like I'm wearing gloves that are several sizes too small!!

And to be honest, I'm feeling pretty anxious because after having one spontaneous miscarriage, I find that every single time I experience any spotting now, I can barely muster the courage to actually check what color it is!!

Same story over here... especially these last few days. I finally switched to coconut butter and oil since it's heavier—it actually keeps things soft for a bit longer (though I still have to reapply 2 or 3 times a day just to stay functional)
goldencyclist8 said:Hello everyone.

I find myself in quite a difficult situation and would appreciate any advice you can offer.
To provide some context, I was on Yasmin for four years. I stopped taking them on March 8, 2010, and my cycle returned on April 5, followed by May 7. However, on June 1st or 2nd, a condom failed, which is a significant concern since my period hasn't arrived yet. I took a pregnancy test yesterday morning and it showed only one line—meaning negative—but I am still feeling very anxious and worried. What should my next steps be? Should I wait a few more days before testing again? I would value your thoughts on this. Please help.

Your options are simple:
-retest today
-retest in a few days
-book an appointment with your OB-GYN.
Bradley Edwards2 said:Thanks for getting back to me. If my period doesn't show up, I'm going to retake the test on Tuesday.
By the way, what's the deal with these tests? What's actually the difference between the $6.75 one and the one I grabbed yesterday for like ten bucks at CVS? The lady behind the counter mentioned there's also one for $33.
Even the cheap one claims it can pick up a pregnancy 3-5 days before you're even due for your period, and both say they're highly sensitive at 25 mIU hCG. It all feels a bit much, honestly.

I just grabbed the cheapest option they had available... it looks like the one in your signature photo, I think it costs about $11
Bradley Edwards2 said:So, should every single test show a positive result on the very first day I miss my period—which would be exactly 14 days after the actual encounter?
I was supposed to get it yesterday, but nothing yet. I ended up taking two tests yesterday afternoon, and both came back negative.
Can I even trust these things?

Thanks, Josipa

Look, for some people, it doesn't show a plus until a few days later... maybe ovulation didn't happen when you thought it did. In my case, mine was a rock-solid positive just two days after my period was late..
