Harold Cook2 said:Look, I’m not one to whine or play the victim, seriously. People always ask if pregnancy is the "best time of a woman's life," and honestly? It’s a mixed bag. For some, it's a nightmare. For me, it's been a total rollercoaster from day one. I've dealt with constant nausea, dizzy spells, and now my blood counts have absolutely tanked—everything is just low. My gallbladder started acting up too, giving me these intense attacks that landed me in the ER a couple of times. And man, the physical toll... I feel like I'm carrying this baby so low already, my blood pressure is all over the place, and I'm running to the bathroom every twenty minutes. My back is basically screaming at me, and lately, I've been feeling these contractions—or maybe they're just intense cramps, who knows? It feels like I'm about to start my period, which is terrifying because you're constantly hovering in this headspace of "please let everything be okay." But even with all that, I’m not complaining. It’s actually beautiful, carrying this little life inside you—especially when you've been through hell to get here and have waited forever for this moment. So yeah, despite the stress and how much my body is breaking down, I am genuinely excited for this.🙂

You absolute nutcase!! How can you not be complaining?!🤣🤣
Don't make me go digging through old posts to find where you were venting! 😬

And hey, I've spent plenty of time in the ER myself. I basically spent the whole ten months bouncing between the dentist (which was never an issue before!) or at the clinic getting a pilonidal sinus drained—honestly, I'd rather forget that entire month ever happened. But whatever, sometimes life just hits you like that.
The pressure on my bladder is just unreal. At this point, I can't even tell if it hurts because of an infection or if it's just my tailbone crushing everything...

I am so ready to finally give birth because I want to see her so bad it's actually insane! I just want to kiss those tiny little backs, those miniature feet, those little hands... oh my god...😍😍😍

My husband put together a little chair for her yesterday! Check out the pic!

Michael Barrett11 said:I’d honestly rather spend twelve hours straight working in my garage than have him hovering in the kitchen trying to help; he acts like such a chore just being there.

I suppose I'll wait until I have a massive baby bump and can't manage the cleaning myself before I see if he actually steps up and realizes he needs to pull his weight. 🙄

Look, I don't even care if he's hanging around the kitchen. My only real rule is that when he's done eating, he puts his plate in the sink and carries whatever's in the living room back to the kitchen. Asking me to let him do the dishes? Please... that would be even more of a disaster than it was before!
I've still got a gut, so I'm basically doing most of the heavy lifting myself! Trust me, you'll be right there with me once you hit that stage, because watching how sloppily he cleans will drive you absolutely insane! It's gonna be just like that... 😉
Harold Cook2 said:God, they’re so intense😠 I’ve got this massive construction project looming over my head these next few days—we’re getting new vinyl windows installed. I am already dreading that fine-ass dust that gets absolutely everywhere, creeping into every single closet and drawer. It’s gonna be a nightmare. Plus, the contractor has been jerking me around for a week straight now, just stalling. And don't even get me started on that toxic paint smell that hangs in the air forever until it finally dies down. Total disaster. Thank God my mom is stepping up to handle all the cleaning and resetting everything; I’d do it myself, but she won't let me exert myself too much. Honestly, if I tried to help, I’d probably just be in the way, and when she actually picks up a rag or a broom, man... I won't even go there.😂The only thing she does perfectly is the dishes, I'll give her that. Can't deny it. At least we have that one little win.😍

Back before I was married, I lived with my old man. We had this deal where we'd do a deep clean every weekend, right? And he was always the one scrubbing the bathroom most of the time. And I gotta say, it actually looked spotless!
BUT!!!! The second you stepped into the restroom, he wouldn't follow you in to watch how you peed just to make sure you didn't mess up his hard work... 🤣
And guess what? My husband is exactly the same way now! He cleans up after himself at home and then has the nerve to nag me when I leave a glass sitting somewhere—but does he ever pick up after me and put something in the sink?! 🙂🙂🙂
Harold Cook2 said:Ugh, they’re honestly useless. At least mine is a total waste of space.
Like, "don't lift anything, don't push anything, don't work, I'll do it"... yeah, okay, but when? When?! I can't even look at a mess that needs fixing for days on end without losing my mind, and then if I actually let someone try to fix it, they just screw everything up... seriously, what a joke... 😛I finally decided to give this vacuum a shot recently—you know, the one that's supposed to make my life easier—and what does it do? It scratches the floor everywhere. Just deep, ugly gouges left all over the laminate. And get this: I specifically asked if he pressed those little brushes down so it wouldn't scratch, and he goes, "Yeah, I did." Man, I nearly passed out right there. I've had this thing for eight years, used it for vacuuming and mopping and nothing ever happened, and now suddenly this happens. And their brilliant response? "Well, next time just do it yourself." Like, excuse me? You can't even see the scratches? If you ask me, from an airplane view, absolutely. 😍
Honestly, isn't it better to just do everything myself and have some peace? They really can be so incredibly incompetent sometimes.

I spent an entire MONTH telling him, "Hey, bring that massive turtle aquarium downstairs so I can clean it"... 🙄 A whole month... but honestly, I can't move that thing alone. Even before I was pregnant, I struggled with it, and now? I'm definitely not breaking my back for it. Why should I? It ended up with me basically shouting, "Get your butt upstairs and grab the tank!" "What about dinner?!" NO DINNER UNTIL THE NINJAS ARE DOWNSTAIRS!!!! And that’s how it went. 😬
We’re supposed to be cleaning the room tomorrow because it’s just as hard for me to lug that vacuum upstairs since it's one of those huge Shop-Vac style ones... yeah, right, let's see how he manages to vacuum with that thing... ☕
I can already see myself tomorrow, getting into a massive blowout over this total disaster... 😳
analognomad59 said:I usually wear a small (well, sometimes a medium depending on the cut) 🤷 honestly, I hope I’m still wearing a small for a bit longer... though looking at how fast this is happening, probably not for much longer... 🤣 😢

I just don't get the logic, you know? How can a bra be labeled S, M, L, or XL...? 🤷 Why aren't they using actual sizing like 32A, 34B, or 34C...? 🤷

As someone who’s been blessed with huge boobs since way before my pregnancy, I seriously don't get why you're even struggling with a size S! 😂
But man, let me tell you, nobody is rocking an S... or maybe an M... during pregnancy... 😢
Mine have already hit xxxxxxxxxL!!!! 😠
Like, they just hang there when I'm not wearing a bra... kind of like those women in certain tribal cultures... 😂
Tyler Ruiz502 said:Honestly, flipping through *Pregnancy & You* was driving me absolutely insane
It was such a sweet gesture from my partner to pick it up—like, he bought it for both of us—but let’s be real, he mostly did it for himself since I already know all this stuff... It’s just that typical, mindless fluff you find in every women's magazine, just enough to make you feel "connected" or whatever 🙄
The way they worship the whole idea of pregnancy—talking about bliss, fulfillment, finding purpose, pure happiness... meanwhile, all I can think about is the actual labor part, and if I had my way, I’d rather just skip it entirely 😱

I’m having an incredibly easy pregnancy, which makes me wonder if I should even bother trying for a second child. Everything feels so risky and exhausting that I’m leaning toward not complicating my life any further than it already is

Muuuuuch too selfish, I agree ☕

🤣
Did you even notice how they Photoshop pregnant women in those magazines even more than supermodels?! 😠
I actually lost my mind the other day when I went to check out some clothes and saw a MATERNITY BRA in a size Small! 🙄
Like... what pregnant woman is wearing an XS? Seriously! So I asked the old lady working there for some maternity undies—just any basic pair I could pull over my belly—and she looks at me like, "We don't have THAT."...
Then a few days later at the local grocery store, some old lady stared at my stomach like I had a giant burger tucked under my shirt or something, even though there was nothing there... 🙄
Someone above mentioned how pregnant women immediately start cornering everyone with their list of complaints, basically expecting a standing ovation of sympathy 🙄 . Look, I’ve never been pregnant, but whether I am or I'm not, I don't just waltz up to strangers to dump my problems on them—so I expect the same courtesy from them. Don't come at me with comments about my weight or anything else just because you think I'm "sensitive" now...
rustyowl52 said:You strike me as a really lovely, sharp-witted woman, but honestly, your man could stand to be a little more considerate, don't you think?🤷
Why on earth are you just letting him talk to you like that? I get it, he’s tired, we all get tired, but that is absolutely no excuse to act like a complete jerk, right? Seriously, what is actually going through his head? Just because someone needs a nap doesn't give them a free pass to be disrespectful. Is this really how we're playing things now?

🤷
Maybe if I snapped back at him once in a while, he’d actually give me some credit! 🙂
But man, it spikes my blood pressure for like five minutes, then I just move on... though yeah, obviously it's my fault for letting it happen. Sometimes when I read about these women online who have husbands that are all romantic and sensitive, I look at my typical American guy and I swear I could kill him with a heavy frying pan. But whatever! You just learn to live with it 😁
If I'm being totally real about it, sometimes I'm the one who snaps first for no reason, and sometimes it's him. My issue might just be that I go nagging him at the absolute worst times, so then he loses his cool... who knows. If you ask me, it's all just social frustration. He's out the door by 6 AM and doesn't get home until 7 or 8 PM. His shift technically ends at 4, but all that extra stuff he does doesn't get him paid... and then he walks in to find a pregnant wife dealing with a total hormonal meltdown... 😍
Ronald Davis22 said:I’ve been dealing with some extra pounds myself for ages, and frankly, I feel like I ought to follow your lead and let them know exactly how much this "cute" little poking and prodding annoys me—I'd love to see them all packed off to the middle of nowhere... because if I don't speak up now, when on earth will I get the perfect opportunity?👍

Exactly... seriously, if it bothers you, just tell them. 👍 Why on earth would you let someone else make you feel like absolute garbage? Because trust me, that is exactly how I feel whenever they pull that crap on me... nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't matter how much they talk about their "upbringing" or whatever—I can literally feel that lump forming in my throat, and I swear, I just want to break down and cry right then and there. But what can you even do? You spend all your energy trying not to snap at them so you don't look like the bad guy, and then you're just left sitting there stewing...
Bryan Diaz said:I second that! Though, if I'm being totally honest, I am a bit of a crybaby anyway.

Man, I just got chewed out myself a few minutes ago because apparently I "need to get away from him since he wants to sleep."😢
cosmicviper21 said:Look, here’s my two cents on this whole "fat" thing—maybe some people are gonna come for me, but honestly, why should I even care? 🤷 This supposed "weight gain" is only lasting nine months, and besides, those people have been acting like total jerks their entire lives anyway. 🙄 Personally, I actually find it kind of funny when someone tries to call me "fat," because that’s just not how I am naturally, and this is the one specific time where I have a perfectly good reason to be, so why on earth would I let it get under my skin? 😉

I don't find it funny at all, and it definitely isn't "cute," because I've been carrying extra weight my entire life (nothing crazy, but still). It’s like what La Roux says—it's like they think they can just wrap us up in cellophane while we're pregnant...
It bugs me, and I'm not afraid to show it.☕
Thomas Mendoza12 said:It truly vexes me when people feel entitled to greet me by commenting on my weight. I haven't even gained much, yet for some reason, they seem to believe such remarks are somehow charming or acceptable. If it weren't for my husband's tempering influence, I fear I would have ended up in a heated confrontation with nearly everyone I encounter. Just the other day at the local CVS, an older woman serving me decided to cut me ahead in line, only to snap at me, asking what on earth I wanted, "fatty." My blood pressure shot up to 300 in that moment. Honestly, next time, I don't think I'll be able to restrain myself from biting back.

I’ve already posted a few times about how being called "fat" can drive my blood pressure up so high I feel like I'm actually going to explode...
then I just remind myself that it's just a reflection of how they were raised, which makes it easier to deal with...
actually, look at it this way: the reason it's so shocking to you is because YOU were actually raised with manners! U P B R E A T ! While they clearly weren't! 😉
Tyler Ruiz502 said:So, I’ve been sitting here, stuck in one of those bouts of boredom, just scrolling through—well, let's call it "researching"—some of the older posts on this Forum. And honestly? I’ve read enough to know that some of this stuff is just... questionable. There are certain stories floating around where I would personally bet my life savings that they never actually happened—they feel completely manufactured, just exaggerated nonsense designed for drama. ☕

Anyway, there it is. Just getting a few things off my chest, I suppose. 😁

(Brace yourselves for a wave of honesty)

Not that any of it is getting under my skin or anything. 😛

Damn straight! I don't know much about this specific thread regarding what bugs us during pregnancy, but I definitely know about another one on here where someone (not naming names!) basically made a complete fool of themselves recently... ☕

Honestly, my husband is the one driving me crazy right now! For real! He's been snapping at me constantly for the last three days... then I end up tearing up—which isn't even like me, I don't cry easily—and he just goes, "Why the hell are you crying?" 🙄
Listen, honey, you better watch how you treat me, because if you keep this up, I'm putting a dash instead of your name on the baby's birth certificate!!!!! 😬
But seriously, I actually want him... ☕
tina_m said:but I really don't want to be carrying way too much extra weight after the baby comes

I just don't want my mom having any excuse to start picking at me, especially over some damn pounds

I know how that sounds right now, but I honestly can't help it

Yeah—it sounds stupid.
But look, I'm not one of those pregnant women who started out with a supermodel body, so this whole thing feels... weird for me.
If I gained weight already and I'm still gonna gain more, I'll just lose it later. Big difference is, I was never even skinny to begin with.
And what are you actually gonna do... stop eating just so your mom won't nag you? That's total bullshit.

You gotta shut people down immediately!
Seriously, the other day my friend's mom comes over and starts messing with me about my pregnancy, like, "Wow, where did that huge belly come from?!" while laughing... so I just looked her dead in the eye and said, "From hell," and she totally shut up while I just kept laughing... see what a total menace I am as a pregnant woman? 🤣
But I had to do it...
omg!!! I just remembered!!
WAXING!!!! 🤣🤣
Usually, I just head to my esthetician to get it handled—I even did it while I was pregnant and it was totally fine. But right now? No way. First off, I’m broke, and second, it’s a total pain trying to lie on my back because this inflamed butt crack is driving me insane. Anyway, I'm planning on hitting up a strip mall salon tomorrow, and I have to somehow squeeze in some shaving by noon just so I can make it by Friday... 🙄
rustyowl52 said:Oh my god, you have me dying!!!
I am constantly freaking out that if I lie on my side with my belly angled a certain way, I've definitely crushed the baby, so the poor thing has no room left—so naturally, I just keep tossing and turning like a piece of meat on a grill...
My husband was the same way recently; first he was celebrating like crazy when he found out about the baby, then once he realized it was a boy, it was just non-stop partying when the little guy was finally born!!!!
Seriously, how much more celebrating can one person possibly do? 🤷
And that part about the alcohol smell? Like he swallowed half a crate of Coca-Cola? Good grief! 🤮
I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but for me, the smell is like walking into a bakery; the other day I could taste something sweet on a friend's breath, and she looked at me like I'd lost my mind when I told her I could taste two cookies... honestly, I could probably go looking for truffles in California with how much I can sense things lately. 😍

Ugh, that celebration when I first found out I was pregnant lasted... pfff... like two whole weeks, I think!
As for the smells, I wasn't really someone who cared much about scents before, but since I got pregnant, I notice EVERYTHING. Just now I actually had to walk out of the living room because my own socks smelled weird to me!! And everything at home is spotless and freshly laundered!! 🙄
Oh, and the alcohol... the other night I just straight up told him, "You're drunk, you idiot!" and he just gives me this goofy look and blows in my face like, "Come on, guess what I drank?!" 😂
Total moron! 😁
vividhawk87 said:Yeah, on top of all the sleep issues and having to get up half the night to use the bathroom, there’s also the sweating!!! Honestly, I have no idea what's going on, but my pillow is constantly soaked!

I'm dealing with constant drooling myself... honestly, once I start overthinking things, it feels like everything is just leaking out of me! Like, colostrum from my nipples, then if I sneeze even a little bit I lose control of my bladder, and at night I'm just drooling all over my mouth... 🙈
Morgan Evans3 said:I’m struggling with sleep too; every time I try to roll over, the pain jolts me awake, and turning over becomes an ordeal... my husband says I even groan in my sleep.
On top of that, I’ve started snoring like crazy, so he isn't getting much rest either.🙄
It’s incredibly frustrating being home full-time and not being able to even get basic housework done because the pain kicks in after just ten minutes of cleaning.
Just blissful!! 😉

Ugh, tell me about it, cleaning absolutely kills me... and I'm only 30...🙄
Everything that used to take me an hour now takes me at least three times as long... I have to take a break every ten minutes because I get so winded and congested it's actually insane!
I just finished a mountain of dishes from yesterday and I HAVE to sit down before I even attempt ironing... scrubbing the bathroom... mopping the floors... 🤣
And the sleeping... the worst part is when I roll onto my back in the middle of the night and wake up panicking, thinking the baby has definitely turned blue because the position wasn't right... and what if I accidentally roll onto my stomach or something... I'm basically having hallucinations all night long. And when I need to go pee, I barely even try to get up because the thought of dragging myself down those stairs is just too much... 😠

Ugh, and then there was this one night... 🤣 oh god... my husband went out with his buddies for a bit, and he comes home smelling like a brewery (and honestly, he rarely drinks, but when he does...) and he's singing, pinching me, rubbing my belly🙄 ... I told him, "Fine, just go to sleep already, for crying out loud," but as soon as he hit the mattress, he started puking... 😱
So I ended up playing nurse to him for half the night... what a total pig! 😬
Jesse Evans85 said:Since we’re on the subject of pregnant women getting priority in waiting rooms—well, my bump isn't even showing yet, but logically, I figured I’d get some preferential treatment at the OB-GYN. Instead, I end up sitting there for three hours because every single pregnant woman in the building was ahead of me, along with a few elderly ladies who spent the entire time lecturing everyone that pregnancy isn't an illness. They kept going on about how things were different back in their day, when pregnant women actually got priority, calling our current system ridiculous and nonsense. Then, finally, it’s my turn, and one of those old ladies looks at me and goes: "Wait, you aren't pregnant too?"
Me: Yes. Old lady:🙄🙄🙄 And she wouldn't even let me cut in front of her! Honestly, thank goodness the doctor stepped out into the hallway for a second and pulled me aside, giving that lady a piece of her mind for being so incredibly rude.

Ugh, those little comments seriously make me want to barf. That whole "back in our day..." routine is just the worst.
I once had some old lady tell me how before her time, women used to carry huge loads of firewood up to the second floor right until they went into labor!!! 🧐
And I was just like, wow... great. Good luck to the baby dealing with a lunatic like that... 🙄
I honestly don’t even know where to post this, I just hope it doesn't get moved because I seriously need to vent before I lose it, and I know damn well that being this pissed off isn't good for my daughter!! So, I went to the ATM today and I just absolutely lost my mind—both at the machine and inside the branch—because some little brat started scrolling through my statement, pointing out everywhere I supposedly SPENT money!!!! It wasn't even about that, though. I know exactly who screwed me over and exactly why my account balance looks the way it does right now!!! Like, sure, "paychecks were deposited," blah blah blah... but my entire freaking paycheck was swallowed up because apparently someone "processed the transfer wrong" or whatever bullshit they're claiming!!!
I swear, the system is so broken; it’s always the people who know nothing and have connections and enough cash to pay their way off who win!! Instead of the hardworking person who actually stays humble and stays out of trouble!!
And I am so incredibly done with the fact that every single cent I earn basically gets handed straight to the bank because "someone made an error" during the deposit process!!! Error my ass!!!
Now I’m heading to the dentist—let them finish me off at this point..
Thanks for listening, and sorry if this is a mess.. I just had to get it out, I couldn't hold it in anymore.. 😢😢😢
