It’s driving me insane. I’ve completely lost the ability to tell if I’m dealing with uterine cramps or just brutal bloating and intestinal spasms. Every fifteen minutes, I’m sprinting to the bathroom in a total panic, expecting blood, when really I just feel 🙂 🤦. Then, fifteen minutes later, it happens all over again. I can't seem to calm down long enough to realize it's just gas and not my uterus acting up. And the bloating? It's so intense I actually feel nauseous because my stomach is being pushed upward. This has been going on for days—my belly looks like I'm sixteen weeks along, even though I'm only in my ninth 😢
. And honestly, the anxiety over Tuesday's ultrasound is killing me. Instead of being relieved that the bleeding stopped—even if the symptoms are getting worse—I'm stuck in this loop thinking the doctor is going to tell me my heart isn't beating anymore or that it was a missed... 😢😢😢. At this rate, I'll probably pass out from pure stress and fear. God, why didn't I just grow up as a shepherdess out in the middle of Appalachia? Life would be so much simpler if I only realized I was pregnant once I actually felt the baby kicking. No offense to those girls, I'm not mocking them—quite the opposite, I'm actually jealous... 😢
Can I be blunt here? 😬

It drives me absolutely crazy that sex is off-limits for me, yet my man still gets serviced regularly by yours truly (which he’d probably prefer if I didn't have to deal with it) while I'm stuck with nothing... and honestly, I could really 😢

use some action and a good workout. 🤦
Jerry Fisher3 said:All I’m going to say is that you have every right to be "rude"—it’s not even being rude when you’re literally protecting yourself and your own baby. Honestly, screw these socially oblivious people. 😠 😠
Forget her; look out for yourself. :2up: (And look at me, dropping rhymes like a pro! 😁)

...I honestly don't get it. She wasn't even alone; the baby's mom showed up later, and she's younger and more informed given everything they've dealt with regarding that poor little thing. She clearly understands how CMV spreads... and when I remember how many times they asked "how did he even get this?" only for ten different doctors to explain it over and over... she really should know by now that CMV is spread through saliva, urine, and feces. But these people act like it's insane to suggest the kid could be contagious. Or maybe they actually *are* that clueless? 🤷🤷I don't know, I just don't get it. I practically forced my husband to change all the sofa covers, scrubbed the high chair where the little guy drooled, and tossed the sponge. He's handling the dishes, but I'm not touching a single thing for a week. 😠
I am absolutely livid. My sister brought over a toddler who just recovered from congenital CMV, which means he’s almost certainly still contagious. I tried to be reasonable; she asks how I am and if I mind anything, so I attempt to politely explain that I’ve never had CMV before (yes, I actually checked my antibodies). Now I’m terrified. I’m avoiding kissing anyone, refusing to share glasses, and washing my hands about 107 times a day... and what does she do? She just nods and says, "Well, you have to stay healthy now," then lets the kid chew on my remote, drink out of my glass—even though he has his own bottle—and to top it all off, she changes his diaper right on my couch 😠😠😠
The poor kid isn't to blame, obviously, but good grief, does she not realize she brought a walking CMV infection into my house and is letting him touch everything? I am fuming, but I don't want to start a massive fight or look like a total jerk...😠😠😠
It absolutely infuriates me that I managed to shove my Duphaston up my urethra instead of vaginally. I ended up panicking and trying to squeeze it out with my fingers, so now I’m just sitting here waiting for a UTI to kick in.
And let me tell you—that hurts.😠

What drives me even more insane is some idiot telling me I’ll hit 200 pounds if I stay on bed rest, or suggesting I can just go for long walks because "it doesn't matter anyway."😠
I’ve already put on at least five pounds just from being stuck inside, no matter how much I watch what I eat or try to fill up on fruit and other crap. It's maddening.😢
Chemistry? Never heard of it... I guess my brain just selectively suppresses information...😬

And honestly, what’s really getting on my nerves is this damn constipation. For the last two days, I’ve been trying this "remedy" for when things get critical—kiwi, yogurt, and some sparkling water. Well, since last night, my stomach has been such a disaster zone that I can't even tell if it's uterine pain or if I just need to stay glued to the bathroom floor.🤦
No bleeding at all now, and it's actually a beautiful day outside...😠Where did all that rain go?...😬
Three days without a single drop of blood. I actually let myself get optimistic and planned a nice little 20-minute walk for today, only to end up spotting again tonight. 😠 My first thought—and don't judge me, this is getting ridiculous—wasn't even "Oh crap, am I losing the baby?" It was "Dammit, I can't go for my walk!" 😠😠😠

I’m losing my mind. Seriously, I’m losing it. 😠 I’m honestly disgusted with myself. If I at least had debilitating nausea or constant vomiting so I couldn't eat, I'd have an excuse. But the second I swallow something, the nausea vanishes. I went from being active to being stuck in bed, and now everyone is suddenly "complimenting" me on how my "butt is already coming back." (Today is the last day of week seven.) 😠😠😠
It drives me absolutely insane how I can’t stop hyper-fixating on every single tiny sensation in my body, constantly terrified that it’s some ominous warning sign...😠

To be specific, I finally dealt with nausea three days ago (6 weeks in). It lasted for three full days, hitting me at different intensities and at all hours of the day.

Today, the nausea vanished—but instead, I am ravenously hungry and currently demolishing a red onion 🤦 and I'm spiraling, convinced this means I've had a miscarriage. Instead of actually being relieved that there hasn't been any spotting for two days, I'm just panicking. 😠
It drives me absolutely insane when people tell me not to worry for no reason... what am I supposed to be, her freaking therapist?😠

Tell your friend that just last week I only had a tiny yellow sac, and today it’s a pathetic 4 mm speck that’s barely pulsing... and I’m just as pregnant as she is, only seven weeks along😉 I'm crossing my fingers for her😍

To make matters worse, I’ve had fresh bleeding, which is incredibly frustrating.😠 And don't even get me started on these progesterone pills I'm popping like candy; now I have to deal with them clogging up everything down in the basement laundry room.😠
😘😘

I actually feel a little better now... thanks, ladies 🙂

My mom just called to offer her "support" again 😬 and here’s the kicker: she genuinely believes that telling me how she worked through four months of bleeding without resting is somehow encouraging. She really thinks that helps...
Then she had the nerve to mention she heard about two other women who recently had miscarriages. As if hearing that I'm not the only one makes this any less of a nightmare. 🤦

And of course, we get the classic lecture about how women used to work the fields while bleeding and still popped out ten kids like it was nothing...🙄

So, tell me—am I losing my mind if I actually prefer working at a slower pace right now? 🤷 I felt great at the office today. My coworkers have been incredibly supportive; I mostly just sit, and they bring me coffee or soda...😍 As crazy as it sounds, I feel better there than I do at home. At least there, I can distract myself from the absolute worst-case scenarios constantly looping in my head.

😘 Thanks again, everyone. I really do feel a bit lighter now 😘
Hey 🙂

I don't even feel like a "real" pregnant woman yet since I'm only six weeks along. This week or next, I'm just praying to hear a heartbeat, but I have to vent to someone or I’m actually going to explode...

So, last Friday, I had some spotting. After overthinking it for ages, I ended up at the ER. Luckily, it stopped. The doctor didn't even see any actual blood—just this yellowish discharge and a tiny little speck, 5+6. So, fine. Whatever.

Today, I had more of that gross pink discharge again. Not red, not brown, just straight-up pink. It lasted a few seconds and then stopped instantly—like a capillary burst or something. But whatever, I just curl up on the couch and call my mom to tell her I won't be coming over this afternoon.

And her response? She basically calls me crazy if I think I need to rest. She claims she bled through her entire first trimester with me and I still turned out perfectly normal. She says I shouldn't even worry about it, that every other woman has a miscarriage these days, and honestly, thank God if it happens to me too because I can just have another one. 😠😢😠😢😠
She even had the nerve to insist it's because I sit and write too much. As if my urine somehow travels from my urethra directly into the gestational sac and causes chaos in there.😠

Nobody on this planet hates resting more than I do. The only reason I still go to work is because it’s mostly a desk job and my coworkers are being easy on me. Plus, I work at a hospital, so I feel safer knowing the OB-GYN department is right there. If I didn't feel the need to calm down, I wouldn't be doing this. But I'm an idiot—I don't have the mental strength to snap back at her that she had the right to decide her pregnancy, and I have the right to decide mine. Instead, I just feel guilty for disappointing her. I feel like I'm not "strong" enough because I can't just bleed, walk to her house, maybe drive her to the mall, and handle it all while delivering a perfect daughter who will struggle to meet my expectations just like I'm struggling to meet hers.

Then she starts lecturing me about how one of my colleagues decided to prioritize her scientific career first and have kids only after she becomes a big name. How she works non-stop, bought a massive 1,000-square-foot condo (while my husband and I are stuck in a studio apartment), and how her husband does all the laundry and cooking so she can just focus on her research and stack up cash...

Well, I'm thirty fucking years old, and I just passed my boards and started my PhD, damn it...🙂 what else does she want from me?🙂

Sorry for this massive shit dump, but I feel so pathetic, like absolutely no one on this planet understands me. To top it off, my husband is talking crap, telling me I'm stressing for no reason and that my nerves will hurt the little one... as if I have an On/Off switch for my emotions! And he keeps nagging me that my heart is racing too much.

Sorry again. 🙂

Look, I personally know a few women who were pregnant but took the test on the day their period was due and it came back negative or just totally garbled. Plus, I’ve seen plenty of bad reviews online about this specific brand. I’m not saying it fails every single time, but it seems like it isn't nearly as sensitive as other brands out there.
(A friend of mine got a clear positive, sure, but she didn't take it until almost a week after her missed period. If you're in a massive rush to find out, this probably isn't your best bet...)
Aaron Garcia36, here’s my take: it's totally possible your cycle is just acting up because of the flu. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. But if I were you? I’d definitely run the test again. That control line shows up regardless of how diluted your urine is; it just proves enough liquid hit the strip, it says nothing about the concentration. One piece of advice: DO NOT waste your money on Gravignost. I've found the cheaper SignTest works fine, and even the pricier IntimPlus is better. However, if you're feeling desperate—and looking at your posts, you clearly are—there is a much better way. It won't cost much more than those kits, and it's 100% accurate: go to a private lab for a blood test to check your beta hCG levels. That’s the hormone produced during pregnancy that all these tests are hunting for, but a blood test doesn't mess around. If you live in a major city, there's bound to be a private lab nearby where you can get this done. You'll usually have the results the same day or the next, and it costs around $130-$$60. In a place like New York, I’d probably head straight to Labcorp (and there are plenty of others), or maybe Quest Diagnostics in a city like Los Angeles; I can't speak for everywhere else.

Good luck, and keep us posted!😉
Dana Howard4 said:So, what are the odds that this actually happened? And more importantly, how?

Look, you're looking at roughly a 25% chance within a year. But honestly? It’s a total crapshoot. You have people who play it safe their entire lives and never deal with this, while others get knocked up from the very first attempt. There is no way to predict it...
Dana Howard4 said:I guess I'm just terrified of what the test might actually show. I suppose I'm just hoping my period shows up instead. If it doesn't arrive by next week, I'll definitely take one.

I get it, really, but wishful thinking won't solve anything... and once you see a negative result on that test, you're going to lose it. (Trust me, that was my exact reaction after my first time, even though we used about three different methods of birth control 🤦). A whole week of that anxiety is brutal... and if you're peeing right now, you might be able to forget all this by next week.😍
Dana Howard4 said:Yeah, I just hope everything turns out okay. It's already day 29 since my last period, and usually, it shows up by day 25.👎

Look, why haven't you just taken a test yet? It doesn't even have to be your first urine of the morning. Just cut back on the fluids and hold it for a few hours, then go for it. You could clear up all this anxiety and guesswork in ten minutes flat.
Good luck—keep us posted.😉

And while I have you all, about the pizza... where did you guys pick yours up? I remember someone mentioning Phoenix Discount earlier, is that still a good bet 🙂? (Gosh, how did I even manage to mash these two questions together—a notary course and pizza, haha 😉
)

You’ll do the group sessions at the Lincoln Center, right next to the church. It runs for three days, and then you've got a few one-on-one follow-ups at the parish office.
As for drinks... if you're planning this for a restaurant setting, find a venue that includes beverages in the package. Otherwise, they’ll absolutely rip you off. I think Phoenix is still a solid option, but when it came to hosting my guests, I took a different route. We rented out The Pavilion near the local chapel—it's actually owned by the Zvonimir restaurant group. That way, we had a combined reception with a buffet and all the drinks already covered in the price. Simple. 👍
gentlepilot9 said:So, I was just scrolling through the forums for a little while and ended up stumbling upon Rebecca Vaughn7's wedding reviews. By any chance, do you have a link to your band, 021? I'd love to give them a listen! I've actually jotted down a few different bands already so I can start making some calls.
Regarding the vibe of the music, I’m definitely not looking for anything involving country or folk music—not my style at all. Instead, I'm leaning towards pop, rock, or maybe some classic West Coast vibes... does anyone have any other recommendations for a DJ or band that fits that mood?
My biggest worry is just making sure the atmosphere stays classy; I really want to avoid a situation where guests start jumping onto the stage to grab drinks or heckling the musicians while they're mid-song... 😕

They don't have a link, but I can PM you their number.🙂

As for rock, the Pink Panther is hands down the best, no contest.
David King72 said:Rebecca Vaughn7 so, how much did you guys end up paying over at Friends

It was $42 per person. We added an octopus salad appetizer ($2) to our order, plus there was a $2 charge for chair covers. If you skip those extras, you can get by for about $38.
gentlepilot9 said:If we’re counting the photographer and the band toward that 90-person total, I was thinking maybe round tables would be better, mostly because they just look so much more elegant to me—plus, they’re way more practical since you don't have five people having to shift seats every time one person decides to get up from the table. We'll see how it plays out, though, because it always seems like at the very last second someone either drops out or, heaven forbid, you realize you completely forgot to send someone an invite! 😢

I just took a quick peek at the numbers since my boss is tied up with the group project right now, but I’m planning to sit down next week and really dive into all the details. Do you have any pointers on what I should be looking out for while I'm planning this?
Regarding the cost, I’m actually feeling pretty good about it because everything is bundled together—drinks, all the decor, everything except for the floral arrangements for the head table—and if we decide to go beyond just appetizers and want some stronger spirits, we can just bring our own. Did you recently host a party over at Friends? And where did you order those desserts from? How many should I grab, and how far in advance should I get them ordered? Thanks so much for the help, because I've only just started this whole process and I'm already starting to panic that I won't find a photographer or a band in time... ugh, at least the guest list is sorted for now! 🙂

I was there during my 10th month. 😬

We ordered the cakes from Viacom... for homemade stuff, definitely ask the owner if you're allowed to bring them 😉 because by law, everyone needs a certificate. Otherwise, I highly recommend dry cookies for summer events, regardless of who makes them, just so things don't get... well, you know.
I don't think I missed anything regarding the layout... oh, right. If your head table isn't placed by those glass doors, the band can be set up in front of the small doors instead. In that case, they close off, leaving way more room for dancing. The main doors are those glass ones that open toward the beach; I strongly suggest that setup. You can ask Joseph about the floor plan from the party on October 23, 2010. He can show you how it looked—I'm not certain, but I think it was his first time organizing a space like that, and he seemed genuinely surprised by how functional it was, if he wasn't just being polite (and he doesn't look like the type to fake it). 👍
The food is great, the servers are polite... a solid 5/5. 😉

Good luck!!!!!!!😍

Edit: I just remembered... we also had two orders of their seafood pastries for the appetizer, and they were phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were ready in no time!div>
