MPO thread - what counts as a chat ban? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I haven't been around this forum much lately, and I haven't exactly been a heavy hitter in the MPO threads; I've mostly just been keeping an eye on what many of the girls from out of state are saying..

But honestly, I just don't get what you all mean when you talk about "chatting" regarding MPO.
That comment from velvettrucker52 about how "my beta is this much or that" is completely meaningless. To me, it feels like a blatant insult and a total lack of respect for everyone else who is currently fighting through the grueling reality of MPO..

Look, sure, if you want to call this notification a "chat," go ahead. But for us, this is a moment where we share our highest highs and our lowest lows. Nobody—and I mean absolutely nobody—who hasn't walked this path or isn't walking it right now can truly understand us, let alone have the right to dismiss this information as useless..

It’s like we have these lousy laws thanks to Milinovic and his loyal little squad, so you finally think you've found a safe corner to turn to, only to find yourself getting kicked around like a second-class citizen here too..

Fine.. I’m just a pregnant woman dealing with hormone surges☕ so maybe I shouldn't care, but I do care because I know exactly what those women are going through.. and I am asking for a little more humanity toward our struggle!

Thanks..
Ugh, I absolutely love this topic...😍

There are two specific threads that are driving me up the wall lately...
The first one—how much labor hurts...
Look, if anyone disagrees with me, feel free to roast me, but what kind of topic is that even supposed to be!!??🤷

How on earth can anyone claim to know "how much" labor hurts? It makes zero sense!!??
Everyone has their own unique pain threshold and their own personal experience; there is no way you can objectively classify someone else's pain..

The other thing that gets under my skin is when women post about their experiences at specific hospitals—whether it’s Mayo Clinic, VG, or Mount Sinai...
Over the last few days, it seems like everyone is just posting negative things, especially regarding Mayo Clinic..

Honestly, give me a break...
I mean, there will always, always be both positive and negative stories somewhere, so what's the point of dwelling on it!!??

At this rate, I have no idea where I’d even want to give birth. Nowhere seems okay anymore... thanks a lot, ladies, you're making it impossible to choose, and now instead of feeling prepared, we're just going to arrive at the hospital on the big day feeling totally anxious.. yeah, I'll probably just end up at some random hospital on the edge of town instead..

And no matter how hard I try to avoid reading those kinds of posts, I just can't help myself..
When I go to a thread like that, I want to find useful information, actual experiences, tips on what to expect, warnings... things in that vein..

And don't even get me started on that other thread—what to wear when leaving the hospital!!

Just when I think I've figured it out, I read a comment saying that for a baby born in the summer, a long-sleeved outfit is fine—of course, they mean a thin onesie.. as if someone is actually giving helpful advice... nope, they say short sleeves!!!

For heaven's sake... is it long sleeves or short sleeves!!!????🙂

And then there's the "don't listen to us, just decide for yourself!!" crowd. That drives me absolutely insane..
And please, don't tell me, "well, you'll just see what the weather is like." It could get chilly!
That also sets me off..

So yeah, that's what's bugging me..🤔

Alright, go ahead and crucify me if you want to..☕

it drives me nuts when stuff just slips right out of my hands 😠 currently training by picking things up with my toes 🙏

😂😂
You'll get the hang of it before you know it... personally, I've already become a total pro at grabbing things with my feet.🤣
Honestly, what actually set me off???!!

Everything has just been so much lately..😠
So, I finally make it to my primary care doctor's office the other day, just waiting for my turn.. Man, did I wait, but fine, the nurse hurried as much as she could, BUT.. right next to me, this mother and daughter sit down—you couldn't even tell which one had the raspy voice and which one was yelling louder, making that whole long, narrow waiting room echo with their noise!!!!

And if only they were saying something intelligent, but no!!
I’m sitting there coughing, trying not to start an argument because I’m already totally stressed out—I've spent the entire day driving all over Washington, D.C. without the AC on, my car is cluttered with stuff, and I finally thought I might find at least a little peace in the waiting room...

Then this elderly woman walks in, making a huge scene, asking for a referral to a hospital she isn't even going to until next week—of course, the nurse just brushes her off since she's covering two offices and tells her to just come back next week..

And that's when the lady starts her monologue, in this loud, gravelly voice, about how she wouldn't dream of going home and would stay right here and wait.. because you people worked so hard to get here in this weather.. HELLO!!!🙂

I mean, who forced that old woman to trek across the scorching asphalt in this heat!!!! And who do you think you are, lady, acting like the judge and jury of the waiting room!!??

Okay...☕

Then yesterday, I go to see my OB-GYN... and I tell him cheerfully that I haven't been eating much and I'm mostly living on watermelon..
And he goes.. well, those aren't even that good for you—they're loaded with sugar..🙂 🙂
But that's the only thing that sounds good to me.. neither ice cream nor anything else sweet, and honestly, I don't have much of an appetite for heavy food either.. and he tells me not to eat too much watermelon.🙂

Well, screw that.. how am I supposed to survive until mid-August?😢
I mean, if my blood sugar was high, sure.. but it isn't...

So much for my survival plan to get through this heatwave until I give birth.🙄

There's also something else that threw me off, but I can't quite put my finger on it right now.🙂
Anthony Watson35 said:I am actually going to lose my mind. It’s been 19 weeks—full 19—and I still don't feel a single thing. Nothing. I’m losing it. I’m convinced I should’ve felt movement by now; all I can think about is whether something is wrong, and honestly? I just eat everything in sight. My next ultrasound isn't until April 4th, and I'm about ready to jump out of my skin waiting.
Then there’s my husband, who makes it even better by telling me I’m worrying over nothing. 🤦
I was venting about all this today to a friend—she’s only at 7 weeks and has her scan tomorrow. Last time they checked, they could only see the yolk sac, and she’s already spiraling, terrified that tomorrow they won't see anything else, that everything just vanished, and there's no baby... 😢
The bottom line? We’ve both completely lost our minds. 😢

Hey ladies... I’ve been scrolling through these threads, reading everything, and it feels like I'm listening to my own internal monologue. Some parts gave me a good laugh, though..

But when I hit that post from Yehane-t, I felt like she was looking right into my soul!
And the kicker? We're on the exact same timeline—my checkup is scheduled for April 5th.

I really do feel like I’m losing it because I keep obsessing over whether something is actually wrong... though deep down, I suspect it's just because I'm desperately waiting for those first little flutters, or some movement, or even just a weird sensation.

Whatever it is, let it happen already!!😍

Now, let’s talk about Mari40..☕

She’s such a tough act to follow, playing the role of the medical authority who uses a virtual whip to line up all us pregnant women and lecture us on what’s "good" and what’s "bad"!

As if we’re just a bunch of uneducated hens who spend our time drinking, smoking, or occasionally popping a needle in a vein, and suddenly she’s here to enlighten us all!

Oh, how lucky we are that salvation is finally arriving.🤣

Look, I work in healthcare too... and yeah, I might enjoy a glass of red wine once in a while.
Well... if nothing else, at least the little one will probably have much better circulation than their mother.😬

We all know the deal regarding what’s risky during pregnancy; we don't need a special seminar to explain the basics to us.🙂
I’m my own highest authority!!!🙏

Alright then...
silentbear22 said:...since we're all practicing...🙂

I think I finally nailed it..

rapidrider3 said:Can someone please explain how to quote, say, two or more people from different comments within a single reply? Just one post.

So I don't have to send three separate posts when one will do.

Yeeeeessss
Alex Barnes4 said:I’m just going to try it myself too.

That's not true—I actually managed to pull it off, I think...🙄
wearycyclist81 said:There’s a Multi-quote button sitting right next to the standard Quote button. You just click Multi-quote on every post you want to pull in—you'll notice the button changes color to let you know it's selected—and then hit Post Reply. That’ll jump you straight into the advanced editor with all those specific posts already loaded into the text box, ready for you to work with.

rapidrider3 said:That's the million-dollar question.

And here's my take on it. Does that sound about right?

copperskipper68 said:But what if I want to quote multiple parts from the exact same post?
Like, say Person A asks three different questions in one go.
And Person B wants to quote the first question, answer it, then quote the second, and so on... 🤷

I'm working on it...
