How do you say "to bring something to light"? in Psychology & Therapy ·
Look, you really need to start looking at things through a more realistic lens. I mean, obviously, your parents aren't going to kick you out onto the street just because you pulled a mediocre grade on a midterm or struggled with a test here and there. It feels like you’ve picked up this deep-seated anxiety somewhere along the line, or maybe it’s just buried in your subconscious, playing tricks on you. If I were you, I’d try to sit down and actually untangle where this fear is coming from—maybe it was triggered by something happening in your social circle, or perhaps it’s just a lack of self-confidence bubbling up. Honestly, if you can't figure out the root cause of this constant fear and the cycle of lying on your own, you should probably go talk to a therapist. It’s something both you and a professional should tackle together to get it sorted out. Good luck.
I'm too polite (old-school manners) in Psychology ·
Man, honestly, how lucky is your wife to have you by her side? It’s truly heartwarming stuff, really. But, if I’m being honest, sometimes there’s a certain kind of charm in being a total jerk, too.
Why do some people need so much money? in Psychology ·
Maybe their ultimate life goal is just to join the Freemasons. You know, so they can finally sit at the top of the food chain and pull all the strings, controlling everything and everyone in sight.
Friends, why does nobody ever invite me out? in Psychology ·
Look, honey, there are a dozen different reasons why they’re icing you out. It could be that they’re just stuck up because you don't fit their little "aesthetic" or whatever superficial standard they've cooked up for themselves. Honestly, it might just be small-town mentality—you know, those people who are terrified of branching out, so they cling to their existing circle like a life raft because making new friends feels too much like work. Or, if we're being real, maybe it's because you actually have something going for you, and you're inadvertently stepping on their toes by being a bit of a threat to their ego...😛Just chew on that for a second, okay? My advice is to go find a crowd that actually gets you and cut that high-maintenance queen off immediately, because from where I'm sitting, there isn't a single bright future in trying to make that work.
I honestly can’t stand people who act like they’re too good to interact with anyone else, and let me tell you, in my little corner of the Midwest, there are enough of those types to fill a football stadium.😠
