Once faith finally transcends the rigid structures of organized religion, everything will inevitably fall into its proper place; I truly hope we witness that shift sooner rather than later, perhaps even within our own lifetime...
Thank God! I truly hope we're approaching that critical mass, where we finally wake up to the reality that we are all One!👍
A true educator isn't some vessel merely pouring knowledge into a student's head; rather, they are the one who skillfully draws it out from within.
It truly brings me a certain sense of relief to find that we are finally on the same page regarding this matter.🙂
I truly hope you aren't merely experiencing him in some strictly technical sense, if you catch my drift.
Nikola Tesla was the true herald of light, though I suppose we shouldn't be surprised; unfortunately, the world has always seemed to have a preference for the dark.
Dear Khari, I’ve come to realize that this entire world we inhabit is largely constructed from little more than lies and illusions. There really isn't any sense in letting yourself feel disillusioned or cheated by it all. We find ourselves here simply to navigate another lifetime, to grasp at the notion that this material existence is nothing more than a fleeting mirage rather than the ultimate reality. One might say we are merely stepping into another grade in the great school of life, and the question remains whether we intend to pass with honors or if we'll find ourselves repeating the year. This is just one single link in an endless, magnificent chain of being. It is meant to be this way; we consented to this arrangement quite willingly, so we really ought to remember which assignment we signed up for this time around. There is no need for anguish or disappointment, as this is nothing more than a temporary stop before the main terminal, a brief transit before we return to the very essence we originated from—sooner or later. Time flows quite differently on the other side, anyway. Don't be afraid; there is no room for fear there, for you will inevitably arrive exactly where you set out to go.
To me, true power lies in the ability to tackle my own struggles through nothing more than my own grit and the grace of God.
Dennis Hernandez52, I have to wonder if this state of mind you're describing is something that has been lingering over you for quite some time now, or if it was triggered by some specific sense of loss. You claim to be treating everyone around you poorly and feeling equally repulsed by your own self, which strikes me as both deeply melancholy and rather unsettling. Surely, in a life as complex as ours, there must be at least one small thing that brings you a flicker of joy, or perhaps a hobby or pursuit that offers you even a modicum of genuine satisfaction?
Oh, please, what on earth is there to calm down about?😉
My life has turned out exactly the way I intended it to, shaped entirely by my own design. I make my own calls regarding how I live, and I never suffer from that nagging sensation that someone else is pulling the strings behind the scenes. As for everyone else, I couldn't say I know what they're up to, nor do I particularly care to find out; it wouldn't even cross my mind to pry into their business, as I firmly believe that every individual is ultimately the sole architect of their own destiny.
Was the concept of the "self" somehow less valid before we started living through computer screens?
wanderinggull35, you seem to be feeling quite smug about this whole situation, don't you?
I’m staying quiet on the comments section because, frankly, I have this nagging suspicion that if I spoke up, nobody would take me seriously—but still, you really ought to take a moment to sit with yourselves and interrogate those so-called "convictions" you hold so dear.
I honestly feel more blessed than God himself; I deal with far less bullshit on a daily basis, so I’d say luck is definitely on my side.
The ones I've settled on seem perfectly fine to me, all things considered.
This has to be one of the most compelling threads I’ve come across since I started lurking on this forum. There is something about it that just hits home... and honestly, a little bit of healthy debate won't hurt anyone; the subject matter is universal enough to span several different PDFs, though I suspect it belongs right here in the psychology section. Figaro, bravo—you’ve clearly struck a chord with us, and I find myself eagerly anticipating the next few posts from you and everyone else. Have a pleasant weekend, all.
Love is essentially a singular force, though it manifests in billions of different ways, which is why we all walk around convinced that our specific version is the one true thing—and honestly, I can't say I blame us, given how unique every individual experience really is. If we can just let love exist, even if it’s nothing more than a persistent, abstract idea, then perhaps there’s hope. There’s an old saying going around that suggests success is merely the grave where love goes to die, a thought that certainly opens up a whole new rabbit hole of debate...🙂
Have we even begun to determine if we are merely chasing a fixed concept that lacks any actual foundation, or have we actually progressed beyond that point? Love takes so many different shapes, and everyone’s experience is entirely unique, yet the fact that so many people insist their specific version is the only truth is an added complication that complicates everything. There are various kinds of love; some manifest fully only to be severed prematurely, some endure for a time before eventually flickering out, and others somehow persist forever, regardless of how strange that might seem to an outsider. Personally, I have lived through several different iterations, and each was genuine and true in its own way, but I find myself lacking the desire to argue about it—though, lately, I am starting to feel as though there might be only one truly authentic, unrepeatable kind, or at least one that feels more real and singular than all the rest...
