Sick or not? in Psychology & Therapy ·
Typical... You just don't want to admit you're struggling. But you ARE! You know... It isn't healthy to keep hurting yourself and just sitting there feeling miserable for no reason, not to mention this whole obsession with pills...

Chris Harris20 said:I feel exactly the same way... I wouldn't dream of going back to high school for anything in the world. Honestly, I was just counting down the minutes until that final bell rang on the last day, just so I could finally walk away and never have to lay eyes on any of those people again. Man, what an incredible sense of relief that was.😁

Honestly... ever since I started high school, I’ve basically just been counting down the days until graduation. I couldn't wait to get out. And man, that one spring formal was absolute chaos. I had way too much to drink and decided—in my infinite wisdom—that I was going to get revenge on everyone. Total disaster. It didn't work at all... I just ended up looking like a complete idiot. But then again, I was already acting like one back then anyway...🤣
It’s all fun and games now, I guess... but honestly? I wouldn't last a single day in high school anymore. Not one...🙄

Andrew Mendoza10 said:Look, honestly? I truly hope things start looking up for you across the board.🙂

Thanks. Honestly, I'm hoping for the same thing too 😬

Andrew Mendoza10 said:I have to admit, luck does follow me in certain areas—though if you ask me, I’m completely out of luck when it comes to romance, while everything else seems to work out about 90% of the time.

Well, there's that old theory—if you're unlucky in love, you make up for it everywhere else, and vice versa. It's like a cosmic balancing act...🙂
But then there are people like me... who just can't catch a break in any category whatsoever.🙄

Andrew Mendoza10 said:No, I didn't know anyone—I lived in a different city during middle school, then moved to a third city for high school, which isn't where I live now. It made things difficult, honestly. In my current city, I don't know a single soul—not that I was ever much of a social butterfly to begin with—but most people were decent enough and welcomed me in, even if they all basically knew each other already. We didn't become best friends overnight. It was a slow process—just hanging out at school, talking about whatever. By junior year, we started hanging out outside of class. By the end of senior year, I actually felt bad that it was over; I’d found a great group, though most of us drifted apart afterward.

That sounds like pure luck... or maybe you're just more social than you think? But since you say you aren't, it really has to be luck. Man, I wish I’d had even a little bit of that kind of luck...

Andrew Mendoza10 said:I went to an Economic school, though I'm not from Washington, D.C.—I grew up in a small town, which might have played a part in the experience.

Well, maybe... I'm guessing you already had a little circle of friends from middle school before you even started high school.
As for me, I moved to Washington, D.C. for school even though I wasn't originally from there...🙄

Andrew Mendoza10 said:Middle school was a nightmare for me, yet high school turned out fine—and I didn't go in acting tough or anything. I wasn't exactly mentally bulletproof either; I just acted normally and ran into the same types of people. Once, some kids tried to mess with me, but I snapped immediately like a total maniac—though, looking back, it was mostly a bluff.

Man, what kind of school were you even at? My freshman year was pure hell... easily the worst four years of my life.

Chris Harris20 said:Honestly, my high school experience was even more brutal. It was easily the worst class I’ve ever been in. The constant bullying among everyone... it was just awful.

I feel you.
It might not be the case for everyone, but if you aren't mentally tough—or if you don't set some boundaries right on day one—high school just gets progressively more brutal.
In my opinion, just sitting around waiting for another year to pass isn't going to lead to anything good...

Joshua Rodriguez14 said:Look, I’m an adult, and honestly, I don't find this kind of thing funny at all. It’s straight-up workplace harassment. Trying to make a living in this country is hard enough without people pulling these kinds of stunts.😢

I'm with you on that... something definitely needs to change.
I went through something similar back when I was in high school. I didn't speak up then, and honestly? It left me pretty messed up mentally. It’s not too late for her to take action, but she really needs to do something soon...

Has this been going on for a while now, or did it just start cropping up during the field trip? I mean, both the threats themselves and how they’ve been making you feel...

I mean, the whole concept was actually pretty cool... the movie itself was alright... but man, that ending? That part where they try to force something out of her was just awful. It totally killed the vibe for me. I ended up falling asleep...🙄
Vampires Suck in Movies ·
I’m a huge movie buff, but I definitely have those nights where I just want to sit back and watch a parody... even if they aren't exactly "high art." That's kind of the whole point of a parody, isn't it? To be a little ridiculous. Based on the trailer alone, this one looks like it might actually hit the mark.
