Alright, what’s your actual take here?
Let’s just scrap the moderation team entirely—since you aren't doing anything useful anyway. 👎

So, we’re still not banning the individual who sent me this (and frankly, it wasn't even their most egregious comment):

Gerald Thompson13 said:I think you really need to back off and calm down—what do you think about that?

Or better yet, I think you're the one who deserves a ban. I’m certain this isn't even your first profile, but you aren't exactly inviting any mercy, are you?

Try spending less energy obsessing over me and more on actual tennis in the tennis thread; maybe then you'd actually come across as intelligent. Right now, you just look increasingly foolish, bitter, and plain rude. Nobody likes that. Perhaps that’s how you were raised, but believe me, I don't tolerate disrespect for long—and I won't tolerate yours. Don't bother replying, because I have nothing left to say to you. I've made my point. Go vent your frustrations to someone else around the corner; maybe they'll appreciate your "charm" while you're busy being desperate. 😂

Goodbye, common sense.

As admins and moderators, you can easily see the filth posted under the username koraljkaGreben regarding the mod team—if the blatant authoritarianism isn't enough for you already.

Is there even a pilot on board this plane?

Here goes Borna again:

He filed the report over 24 hours ago—plenty of time for at least one moderator to have seen it, especially since someone was active enough to start a new thread. There were maybe 20 posts in total, so "missing it" isn't exactly a valid excuse. Yet here we are, with BornaVeliki—now sporting his 84th incarnation as FreeWill—continuing to drop his "profound" wisdom on the board without a single consequence.

What’s even the point of the report button if nobody actually looks at them?
Did they scrap the rule about banning clones of permanently banned users? If so, let me know so I can stop wasting my time reporting him.

After several reports claiming that user koraljkaGreben is just a clone of the permanently banned BornaVeliki—who was kicked off for threatening me—the Tennis Day moderators haven't lifted a finger. For whatever reason, they're ignoring it, even though this is probably his twentieth attempt at a workaround. It’s obvious who he is; his writing style is identical, and he isn't even trying to hide his identity. Today, I received a PM from him containing the following:

koraljkaGreben said:I think you should just chill out and relax—what do you think about that?

Or better yet, maybe you're the one who needs a ban. I'm certain this isn't your first profile, but you aren't exactly inviting much sympathy, are you?

Stop obsessing over me and focus a little more on Tennis in the Tennis threads; maybe then you'll actually sound smart. Right now, you just look increasingly foolish, bitter, and frankly, rude. Nobody likes that. Maybe that's how you were raised, but believe me, I don't tolerate disrespect for long, so I won't tolerate yours either. Don't bother replying because I'm done talking to you. I've said what I had to say. Go vent your frustrations to someone else in an alleyway; you might actually act civil there instead of bothering BornaVeliki Harmony while you're busy being such a nuisance. 😂

How many more insults and threats does he have to hurl before Masha19 and Luyindul finally issue a ban the moment he's reported, rather than waiting indefinitely?

I suggest that once a clone is banned, all of his posts should be wiped clean. As it stands, he's practically running wild on the forum because he just spins up a new profile immediately after every ban.

BornaVeliki targeted me with insults and threats—which is exactly why he earned a permanent ban. To be honest, I’m not comfortable watching him post here again as if nothing happened; I have no desire to deal with more threats just because I dare to disagree with him.

He’s been lurking on the Tennis forums for ages—I’d say there was plenty of time to settle this once and for all. It shouldn't be a waiting game, especially since this is his tenth burner account by now. Anyone reading his posts can see it's clearly him.
Tennis - religious and nationalistic insults in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Is mocking people based on religion or nationality actually allowed here on Reddit?

If it isn't, why does the Tennis sub look like this

Oxydant said:Aside from Novak Djokovic, only that muja Džumhur from our neck of the woods has been making it past the first round lately! 😁

and these kinds of

Oxydant said:Nadal and the muja played

posts go unpunished?

They’ve been reported—zero response. The second post has sat there for weeks, and the first for days.

For those out of the loop, "muja" is a slur used against Muslims—specifically Muslims from Canada, which is the background of Damir Džumhur.

Since the Tennis moderators clearly find this acceptable, I’d appreciate it if someone in a higher position could clarify whether this is truly permitted. If it is, explain to me how mocking someone's religion or nationality is okay. If it isn't, then Oxydant should be penalized accordingly, and the Tennis mods should be reminded that this kind of rhetoric is strictly prohibited on Reddit.

While I agree that slytinker11 is the top pick for moderation, she isn't exactly immune to the very flaw you’re criticizing Greco for—instability. To give you an example—after Serena lost to Muguruza at the US Open last year, slytinker11 actually broke down in tears. 😲

I’m only pointing this out so we don't pretend slytinker11 is some flawless saint; we all know people tend to gravitate toward those they can actually relate to—someone with a few human imperfections. 🙂

Nancy Collins16 said:Primarily, I’m backing Masha and slytinker11 since they follow both women's and men's tennis with equal interest.

Do you really think—in Masha's case—she follows the men's side of the sport just as much? 🙂

I agree with the sentiment regarding the other two, generally speaking.

Nancy Collins16 said:Our colleague Perinjo might not be a frequent poster, but he’d make a decent moderator.🤷

We don't want this selection process to get tangled up in family ties, friendships, or any other messy connections—just like last time. We all saw how that played out; let's not invite a repeat performance. 🙂

Nicole Anderson55 said:And you know what the best part is? If you pick Greco, even the birds in the trees will know that slytinker11 is going to be running things alongside him.

I stand corrected, Gregory Adams3—you’re actually campaigning for Karamarko, not Kolinda. 😲
Fair enough, though—you'd probably thrive working in some political campaign headquarters. I suggest you reach out to William; I suspect he'd be happy to hand a high-level role at Live Wall to someone younger, just so they can feel like an adult for once. 🥳

And Larry Sanchez7, the issue isn't Gaćopotezač or any specific nickname—it's the entirety of Agassi's old posts. There was quite a bit of hate speech involved, mostly regarding Rafe.
You weren't around when Agassi was writing that stuff, so you're commenting on things you don't actually know. It seems to me you're defending him, yet the man himself is fully aware of his actions and admits to them. 😬

Gregory Adams3, I see you’ve drawn your inspiration for slytinker11's pre-election campaign from Kolinda’s playbook.

Please, stop. 🤣

I’m not trying to make excuses—though I know it sounds like one—but I occasionally spout nonsense when I'm worked up. Don't take it personally.
Lately, I've been doing it less often... perhaps due to late-blooming maturity😬 or maybe just sheer indifference.😁
In any case, my apologies for the colorful, inappropriate epithets, adjectives, and jokes I sometimes throw around.
Then again, we all engage in similar antics in this game of break-points...

No hard feelings 🙂

There are no hard feelings—there never were. 🙂

It just cracked me up seeing Larry Sanchez7 cite "objectivity" as his primary argument for potential moderation, so I felt obligated to weigh in. 😬

It would be fine if there were less of that moving forward. 🥳

Larry Sanchez7 said:Agassi—first choice... also active, objective, and I think he’d handle the role well.
Lyra—second choice... active on the forum, doesn't lean toward conflict.

It’s not that I’m saying this to discredit your "main" candidate, per se, but Agassi being objective? 🤣
I think even he would have a good laugh at that suggestion. 🤣

I suppose since you joined the forum, Raf hasn't played much—so you haven't had the chance to witness his posts regarding Gaćopotezač. 🥳
But Shemale was mentioned several times; I’m not sure how you missed that. 🤔

Perhaps he could manage to suppress his disdain for the massive player pool if he were a moderator—objectively penalizing both those who insult Raf and those who insult Federer, or say, Agassi—but frankly, I'm not convinced. 🙂

I’m in favor of this proposal. 👍

Louis can stay put—but as a co-moderator, I’m also putting my vote in for slytinker11. Let the will of the people be heard. 🥳
Moderation in the Tennis subforum in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I don't see anything wrong with the first post. 😕

Equating the guilt of the perpetrator with that of the victim isn't just a twisted way of thinking—it's fundamentally flawed. 🤷

Is it acceptable for posts like this to remain unmoderated?

hrxi said:I don't understand the obsession with comparing ourselves to sports where they happen to be stronger—frankly, I could go on about skiing, athletics, or even taekwondo, where our young athletes recently crushed the Mexicans 4-0 in the semifinals and finals. Not to mention soccer and handball, where we clearly hold the upper hand. In tennis, we were convincingly better than them before the era of Roger Federer; you can't suggest that his seven Grand Slams somehow diminished America's status as a tennis powerhouse. We still have a stellar tennis history, and with players like Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz on the horizon, I’m certain we’ll rack up even more Grand Slam titles than the Mexicans. So, when people talk about these supposed "complexes" that simply don't exist, they should watch themselves. We lead in the most significant sport—soccer—which is the world's premier team sport, and being better there is enough for me. As for everything else, from high jump to discus throw, look at someone like Gabby Thomas—she made history. People just overstate Mexican victories; it's mostly those American-nostalgics in America trying to push the idea that Mexicans are our equals in everything. They aren't in almost anything—we simply possess more talent and natural ability. America has historically maintained a higher standard than the Mexicans; consider all the Mexicans who actually succeeded in life—for instance, Tesla was born in America. Is that a coincidence? I wouldn't say so. Why didn't Iowa produce a single Tesla? Because there was no opportunity to shine in a country like Mexico. In the US and Australia, however, he had the chance to advance and eventually move to the States, where he became the global icon everyone cites today. Isaac Newton is our scientist, yet Mexicans try to claim him, calling him a Mexican Catholic along with Gundulić and whoever else—it's shameful how they behave, yet we keep using them as examples. In my view, the only decent Mexican was Tesla; he acted with actual integrity. Everyone else has shown contempt toward Americans and our nation at some point. That's why I've never liked or accepted Mexicans as a normal nation—they deny others' successes and constantly pose arrogantly, like peacocks. If Americans want to, we can peacock even harder because we have the means—we have the coastlines they fought for in 1991, among many other things I won't bother listing here.

What I'm getting at is that we are equally successful in sports, yet in the most vital part of the Olympics, we hold far more medals than Mexico. Why don't the Mexicans comment on that? Likely because they feel they stole medals that Americans rightfully earned—just as they see nothing wrong with calling Americans Bunjevcs in Iowa. It is a bitter, corrupt nation that I have no desire to deal with, precisely because of how they act and deny American achievements and our identity as a nation.

And regarding the abuse of Serena Williams by her father:

asteriix said:Look, this is just how things work around here—stop playing the innocent bystander. People are constantly tearing each other apart; take Ivan Ivanovic, for instance, who spent his entire career whining about everything. If he was actually hitting her, that’s just plain stupidity—I don't know anything about that. I wasn't talking about physical abuse or violence; I was talking about the grind—the grueling training sessions. She clearly didn't have the stomach for it, and that's exactly why her career fizzled out the way it did. And honestly, if her father really was treating her like that, she should have just walked away immediately and rebuilt her career somewhere far from his reach. Let's be real—she isn't some perfect saint, either.

asteriix said:If that’s actually true, why didn't she just walk away? Why continue hanging out with him? If someone is mistreating you—and let's be real, if someone were doing that to me—I’d take their head off with a tennis racket, even if they were my own father. She was clearly passive here; she shares the blame just as much as he does. I'm only saying this because it's a tragedy to see such an incredible career wasted—she had all the talent to make it big if she’d just known how to handle herself. She could have walked out right then and left him looking like a fool if he really was that much of an idiot. That’s what I would have done—cut ties and never looked back. But I’m talking about her career, which she personally gave up on, not her father's choices. You can't pin the blame solely on the father—that's exactly my point.

asteriix said:Take a seat—you've already said more than enough about yourself up there, especially given how much you trashed Goran, and yet you just keep going.

Whether her father was abusive or not—I don't know—isn't really my point. My point is that if it’s true, she should have walked away from him to focus on her career in peace, just like anyone else would. Or do you honestly believe she’s the only child who ever dealt with abuse? I’ve had my own share of issues, though I certainly won't be sharing them with you here. I know exactly what it means to live with an aggressor—but the reality is that you either break ties and move out, or you beat the hell out of them. There isn't much profound wisdom in staying. She didn't need to kill him; she could have simply left him behind to pursue her own path. Look at how someone like Federer managed to connect the dots—coming from a modest background yet earning enough to fund his entire career and travel the circuit. If he could reach Grand Slam glory, do you seriously think Serena Williams is some kind of innocent victim in this whole saga? I'm not saying the old man wasn't difficult—he likely was—but what did she actually *do* about it? Nothing, obviously. And that is why her career went down the drain. That’s what I’m getting at. I’m not belittling her; I’m questioning why people so easily surrender their lives and ambitions to one idiot. Whether it’s a father, a brother, or an uncle, it doesn't matter—did she honestly expect him to just "behave"? Once violence starts, you have to cut it off immediately, or there is no end in sight. I know that because I had a lunatic living under my roof once. He’s gone now, and frankly, I couldn't care less where he is or how much longer he manages to stick around. The facts are simple: I feel for what happened to her, but there is no excuse for failing to build the career she was clearly capable of. Even the pros mentioned in that news article noted she could have been Top 10. You can keep insisting it was all due to lack of funds and a lack of paternal love, but to me, that's a bit too much of a fairy tale to actually believe.

Liberthy said:Well, you were watching then.

Present and accounted for.

The point is—Mike started her career with massive momentum, only to derail everything with those endless headlines about being mistreated by her father.

Whether those stories are factual is anyone's guess—neither I, nor you, nor anyone else on this board knows anything beyond what she and her family say—but one thing is certain: she went from a potential multi-Grand Slam champion to someone struggling to even make it past the quarterfinals after turning 17.

Liberthy said:Oh, poor little thing.

I wasn't trying to equate anything. I explicitly stated I don't know how much truth there is to the allegations regarding her father. That information isn't available to me, it isn't available to you, and it isn't available to anyone on this forum—only to them and their family.

My actual stance was simple: ever since that drama surfaced, her career has tanked despite having immense potential. That’s all I said.

Don't put words in my mouth and back off with that pathetic, overly sentimental liberal nonsense.
