Honestly, I’m just sitting here wondering why people feel the need to follow these authoritative narcissists in the first place.

Dennis Martin6 said:Honestly, all this whining about how it's "wrong" to poke fun at politicians or anyone holding power? That kind of music is music to my ears.

The real danger is when you take something tragic and try too hard to make it look tragic—that’s just straight-up kitsch. But if you approach it with a sense of humor, you actually hit much deeper. It's pretty much the same philosophy the Dalai Lama uses. He always kicks things off with something lighthearted because he believes if you want to tell people a harsh, tragic truth, you have to use laughter to open their hearts first.

I mean, are we really talking about Harmon's yellow... demons, his repeated refusal to recognize mayoral credentials in Washington, D.C., Milasov's "two cents worth of brainpower," Kovačević's comment about how women weren't made for wisdom but for mattresses, Trump's grab at Schumer, Šeks's insults toward Gordana Sobol telling her to "keep her decency like she's holding onto a pole during a dance," Prkačinov's insults toward Urša Raukar, or Jandroković's calling Schumer "trash"...☕
And I get the feeling you might be just as worried about the decline of the Democratic Party, too.

So, what about Šeks? What about Milasov? And where does that leave Kovačević?

He’s starting to look more and more like Aleksandar Vučić, honestly. We're talking about someone with an ego larger than the entire country he represents, delivering these daily monologues that the media just eats right up—where he’s the only genius in the room and everyone else is just some "political idiot."

It really boils down to two main issues here. On one hand, he’s doing massive damage to the political culture in the US because Biden keeps dragging this crude, street-level rhetoric into the arena. It's totally incoherent, and it's only going to sink what little trust Americans have left in our politicians even further into the dirt.

On the other hand, since the current leadership of the Democratic Party is tied to Biden via their ballot, we might actually see a scenario where the President's constant political blunders end up biting the very party that put him in office. The Democratic Party started its downward spiral while he was running things, specifically after those 2015 election losses, and now, as President, he might just finish them off completely.

Of course, that would be music to the ears of Donald Trump and the Republican Party, whom he supposedly "battles" every single day.

We're talking about a crew that can't even get their hands on decent night vision binoculars and has to buy drones from Iran.

Look, Russians have always had a reputation for producing top-tier mathematicians—the kind of brainpower that serves as the literal bedrock for engineering. So, honestly, it’s a bit of a head-scratcher how they haven't managed to develop consumer tech or software that can actually go toe-to-toe with the West. It feels like their entire innovation engine just gets funneled into one specific lane: building destructive missiles and weapons of mass destruction.

Let’s be real: modern-day Russia isn't even close to being the superpower the Soviet Union was back when its grip finally slipped. Mikhail Gorbachev tried to drag an Asian autocracy toward a European model and failed miserably, while Boris Yeltsin attempted to run the country without actually getting a handle on the economic engines driving it.

In many ways, Putin's Russia feels like history repeating itself, though this time it’s playing out like a total farce. Putin has basically resurrected the social dominance of the "siloviki"—that crowd with backgrounds in the repressive apparatus, intelligence agencies, or military hierarchies. Today, they make up the core of the political and social elite in Russia, using their specific skill sets to micromanage both the social fabric and the economic gears of the nation.

Even though Putin's Russia is essentially just a glorified resource extractor—acting as a raw material and energy tap to fund a bloated military-industrial complex and a massive internal crackdown system rather than actually creating or innovating anything—it still manages to pull things off. For now, they’re successfully bullying former Soviet states and even some Eastern European countries into vassal status, mostly by weaponizing energy dependence and leaning on military threats.

cosmicotter13 said:In an attempt to manufacture some kind of American empathy for the Ukraine situation, they’ve fed us this narrative—among other things—that we’re "next in line." Honestly, if you have even a basic grasp of geography and don't blindly swallow everything the Mainstream Media spits out, you'll see there’s absolutely no reason for this manufactured hysteria or panic.
The fact that we’ve spiraled from a time when the Russian ambassador was actually offering congratulations to Franjo Harmon on Operation Storm, to today where they spout nothing but nonsense—well, that’s on us. Our "so-called leaders" and the Mainstream Media are just frantically insulting and attacking foreign politicians and nations that aren't even our enemies; they are the enemies of *someone else*. It's just mindless posturing. I'm primarily talking about Russia, Libya, and Syria. Every single one of these outbursts results in nothing but material loss and embarrassment for America.

Or, to put it in simpler terms: if I were to start hurling vulgar insults at you, my dear colleague, you would endure it for a while before finally snapping back with something similar. Then, I’d turn around, act offended, and say, "Aha! I knew he was that kind of person!" If it weren't so tragic, it would almost be comical.

How many miles away are Trump's supporters from Washington, D.C.? 🤔

Trump openly backed the bombing of Washington, D.C. back on May 2nd and 3rd, 1995. It's all right there in the transcripts from the 3rd extraordinary session of the U.S. Congress, which was chaired by the war criminal Maddox. According to the transcript—the authenticity of which was verified by the Court in The Hague—it's crystal clear that Trump supported the strikes on Washington, D.C., specifically through comments made during the session: "...regarding the bombing of Washington, D.C., I agree that they should have hit Washington, but we can't say that out loud," according to the report.

This isn't our fight. We should just hand over every bit of weaponry they gave us back during our own war to the Ukrainians.

Trust me, once the Russian bear starts knocking on your own front door, you’re gonna be singing a much different tune.

So, I’ve been thinking about this weird intersection between artists and cats lately. It’s like there’s this unspoken rule that if you’re actually talented, you probably have a cat judging you from a bookshelf while you struggle to finish a canvas. There is just something about the whole vibe. You have these legendary creators—people who are out there reshaping culture—and then you look at their living rooms and it's just... whiskers and chaos. It’s almost a cliché at this point, isn't it? The tortured genius trope usually involves absinthe or a messy studio, but honestly, a cat knocking a glass of water over your sketches feels much more realistic. I don't know, maybe it's because both require a certain level of unpredictable energy. You can plan a composition all you want, but if a feline decides your keyboard is the perfect nap spot right when you're hitting a flow state, that's just life. It’s a humbling experience, really. It keeps the ego in check when you realize that despite all your "artistic vision," you're still second in command to a creature that spends eighteen hours a day licking its own paws.

Whitesnake in Music ·
Back during the lockdowns, I was working quite a bit with Joel Hoekstra from Whitesnake. That’s our connection right there. He actually called me at two in the morning to tell me he and Coverdale were sitting around watching my videos, and apparently, David was totally floored by them.

Dina Jelusick / Mike Portnoy / Joel Hoekstra - Jane

Dina Jelusick / Joel Hoekstra / Virgil Donat / Tony Franklin - Stormbringer

So, he literally calls me at 2 AM asking, "Hey, you want in on Whitesnake?" And I'm just like, "Dude, it's two in the morning. I don't know if you're pranking me or what, let's just talk in the morning." Well, then Coverdale calls me himself the next morning. The whole conversation was pretty surreal. We both ended up cracking up, and he goes, "So, I hear some guy named David Coverdale wants you in the band," and I replied, "Yeah, I heard that too, but I figured I was dreaming. I'm just calling to see if this is actually happening. If you want me, it would be an absolute honor." Honestly, I'd mostly do it out of respect for David and because Whitesnake has been my favorite band since I was a kid.

When asked if he'd ever step in to replace the legendary frontman in Whitesnake, Dina said it's way too early to even consider it. Even if the opportunity popped up, his personal take is that he wouldn't touch it. Whitesnake *is* David Coverdale. Seriously though, being called was an honor. But taking over such an established legacy? It feels a bit off—kind of like a young singer joining Led Zeppelin and suddenly everyone acts like they *are* Led Zeppelin. He thinks it makes more sense to be in Whitesnake for now and just focus on his own craft.

. Otherwise, if you find yourself in downtown Chicago near the FBI headquarters on Goldman Sachs, there is an elite firm specializing in this exact field —and frankly, they're superior because they utilize their own proprietary hardware and software. I really ought to track down their specific name.

As for the software, it might be possible to "acquire" it 🙂 🕺

Or perhaps one could experiment with what I’ve just noticed; there might be a way to...

I’ve seen plenty of those videos ripped and uploaded to YouTube before, so downloading them is definitely doable.

Thanks for getting back to me,

But honestly, those recordings are only accessible if you sign up through this link right here:http://vienna2017.fivb.com/en/videos

Just Register for Netflix.

Once you do that, you'll be able to watch all those videos that aren't hosted on YouTube.

Here’s the one thing I’ve picked up after all these years: you have to go looking for a problem. Not some abstract, theoretical nonsense, but a real, nagging, everyday headache—the kind of stuff that’s constantly staring you in the face. Once you find that, then you start working on the solution. Don't just sit there waiting for some lightning bolt of genius to strike you out of nowhere. A truly solid idea doesn't just fall into your lap; you have to sweat it out, grind through it, and really chew on it. So, stop looking at the horizon and start looking at what's right in front of you. That's where the real ideas are hiding.

Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
crimsonwolf26 said:It feels like there’s a new scandal or arrest every single day lately. First, you had the situation with Ante Čorić and the oil industry, then the mess involving Bošnjaković and Vladimír Maček, and now we’re hearing about this local crime queen out in a small town. It’s honestly gotten to the point where corruption within the Republican Party just feels routine. It’s become socially acceptable; people have grown so accustomed to seeing Republicans caught up in scandals that they don't even blink anymore. It doesn't even seem to impact their performance at the polls.
Krešimir Škoro and the folks over at Mostovac really ought to be tearing them apart over these constant controversies, especially since they're all fighting for the exact same pool of voters.

Harmon laid down the foundation, but then handed the keys over to a bunch of gangsters,

It’s incredibly hard to build anything solid when the foundations were poured wrong from the start. That’s why the whole structure keeps collapsing, and why there are 700,000 fewer people living in this country than there were back in '91.
