Right at the front, you’ve got the die-hard fans—the ones meticulously mimicking the whole aesthetic, from the specific shirts and that side-parted hair swept into a quiff, right down to the loafers and Levisica. Since I was hanging out in the middle of the floor, I actually had a pretty killer view of the disco light show; we were bathed in blue, yellow, red, and crimson spotlights. Boz and Toby were tearing it up on guitar, and the drummer was absolutely powerhouse, especially during "How Soon Is Now?". And then, of course, there was the legendary Moz, who hit absolute perfection with his diction, vocals, and pure theatricality. The crowd was totally vibing with the performance; there were so many happy faces, and people were clapping and cheering so loudly that Mozz noticed and kept shouting "Fala, Fala, Fala..." back at us.

Sandra Moore6 said:So, here’s the latest update on the band situation: two longtime members just bailed, which is why all the upcoming shows are being pushed back. We're talking about people who have been right there in the trenches with him for years—Solomon Walker on bass and Jesse Tobias on guitar. Honestly, I have no clue what’s actually going on behind the scenes, but it leaves me wondering what kind of set we’re even going to get at the next gig. It's a bit of a mess.🤦
Marr might just fly in as the replacement. 🍿

That’s why I feel like Stanković actually just used his guest—much like he’s done with others before him—to push this specific message about forgiveness. But unfortunately, the kind of "forgiveness" his guests offer isn't really the real deal; it’s more like the kind of closure you get from medical professionals or pharmacology... >
Forgiveness belongs to the nation, to religion, or whatever else they've been nudging us toward, both now and in the past...

Dealing with an emotional manipulator
in Psychology ·
So, how do we actually spot a psychopath?
Pure, unadulterated egoism.
Getting a kick out of causing mental or physical pain—especially when targeting women and children.
Total hypocrisy.
Pathological lying.
Manipulating everyone in their orbit.
That weirdly high level of adaptability.
Acting like an apex predator.
Constant gossiping and playing dirty behind the scenes.
A heavy dose of snobbery and looking down on everyone else.
The complete inability to form any real, deep connections with family or anyone else.
Being totally shameless and immoral.
Thinking in a cold, calculated way.
Being incredibly well-spoken and eloquent.
Performing a role without a script.
Blaming everyone else and never owning up to their own mistakes.
Lying whenever it suits them.
Finding joy in creating chaos and mess.
Having zero capacity to feel love.
Mistaking sex for actual affection.
A total lack of empathy.
No sense of remorse or regret.
A constant fixation on satisfying their own whims.
Zero patience.
Intolerance.
Fetishism.
Fast-tracking intense relationships with other psychopaths just to tear them down later.
Weaponizing religion by acting like a spiritual guru or a devout believer to get what they want—basically fake piety.
Using politics for personal gain—think two-faced politicians or dictators.
Mostly just hidden fanaticism.
Exclusivity.
Systematically destroying anything that gets in the way of their goals or desires.
Elitism.
Sick ambition.
Cruelty.
Arrogance.
A tendency toward sexual deviations.
Being an absolute energy vampire.

Nonverbal communication tips?

What’s the deal with looking over your shoulder in nonverbal communication?

It's not Verdana. To me, it looks more like those Commodore fonts that were all over the place back in the 80s.

Does anyone know the name of this specific font used in Microsoft Word? 😕
Did you vote for joining the UN? (Poll)
in Close to Politics ·
I haven't really shared much about this on the forums, aside from posting that one alert about Together (United Europe) once before.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4btQBoD0xM
When President Josipović called for everyone to show up for the referendum, I didn't sit there second-guessing things. I just grabbed my ID, headed out, and voted YES, exactly like he suggested we should.😉
My logic was pretty simple: if I don't have all the answers, someone else probably does, so I just followed the lead of the President of the Republic and checked that box.😛

I cast my vote FOR the European Union, all in the name of a better life. My reasoning? Our buddies over in Europe aren't just going to sit back and watch us starve if things get rough; they'll actually step up and lend a hand 😉😉
How realistic is the idea of a United States of America?
in Close to Politics ·
If Greece were to go bust, it would set off a domino effect hitting Portugal, Spain, and even Italy, basically putting the survival of the monetary union—and the entire EU—into serious question. Honestly? I don't buy that scenario happening. Without the EU, a lot of American nations, especially the smaller or less wealthy ones, would find themselves in an even tighter spot down the road. The real tragedy here is that global capital is essentially just one massive, bloated bubble, kept afloat by some pretty shady marketing gimmicks and financial sleight of hand. This capital might be fake, but it’s very much real in its ability to crush everything in its path; anyone who fails to navigate this whirlwind is going to end up as a slave to the system, which is exactly what we're looking at for those smaller, struggling nations. Because of that, the EU absolutely has to weather this storm and endure for centuries as a powerhouse in economics, science, tech, and education. It needs to strike a balance with the big players like the USA, China, India, and Brazil, functioning as a cohesive system of all 28 members, including the US. The whole idea of unifying Europe has been in the works for 40 or 50 years and still hasn't quite hit maturity. So, it's actually pretty realistic to think that in the near future, we might see the EU transform into a United States of Europe, modeled after the USA.

Slavko Kulić and the future of America

It feels to me like Kulić just loves to rattle off everything that's going wrong without ever actually offering a way to fix it. Honestly, it reminds me a lot of Kajin over at the Democratic Party.

The real issue is that for the last 15 years, every single group across America has been stuck on that same anthem, GAM GAM, by Maria Pilat.
Nobody has actually evolved or even tried to move past it.
I will say though, I always thought that little joke the Armadež used to sing at the start of the second half was pretty funny.
