Just like at the Olympics when we absolutely crushed Dance. Just like back in Vienna when we dominated everything before falling apart in the finals. Just like playing at home where we were the ones who choked against THEM, not the other way around.
So there is really no reason to be surprised.
The main thing was that the team actually played for Lina; during his era, we at least made it to the finals...
There’s no mystery here. France is simply a better squad than we are. They have proven that repeatedly over the years, and that is all there is to it.
I don't have specific examples on hand right now, but I frequently run into those overly edited trailers that promise something completely different from the actual product you end up watching. Does that sound familiar? That perfectly polished imagery featuring a smiling young mother—it’s basically every detergent commercial out there. There's no need to make a massive deal out of it; it's just a common occurrence in modern marketing, which unfortunately extends to the film industry too.
Beyond that, and partly because of spoilers, I've stopped watching trailers altogether. A pleasant surprise feels even better when I stumble upon a great movie or series unexpectedly.

Iceland - USA 1 @ 4.20 DraftKings 11/10 (0-0) A little gift from the bookies, and not just here at DraftKings but all over the States. Iceland is riding a wave of pure euphoria, fueled by talent coming out of the Dutch league and the Premier League, led by a seasoned Swedish strategist. They’re facing an American squad led by Zoran's former associate, a guy whose coaching experience feels about as deep as a law student's right after graduation—and they've managed only one point in their last four matches. Iceland will be playing on home turf with a packed stadium, which is a far cry from what our guys are used to playing in front of at their local college stadiums... we saw how much they struggled when the pressure was actually on. For the skeptics out there, I’ve got another pick 1X at a solid @ 1.90.(0-0)
Rules exist to ensure fairness for everyone, and making exceptions undermines their entire purpose. Generally speaking, I believe rules should apply universally, but since she requested her perm before this new policy was implemented—which now prevents her from returning—I think an exception is warranted in this specific case...
I’m in favor of this proposal. For instance, the other subforums like Star Wars and Star Trek don't see nearly as much frequent activity as something like the Game of Thrones franchise...

It wouldn't hurt to hope that Marić grows into a new Sulić before the Olympics, or that Pešić becomes the next Šola.😍
Then even Keta couldn't mess it up...
True, there are plenty of variables. We have serious competition from France, who certainly won't be any worse than they were during this championship—if anything, they'll be better. Then there's Denmark, who are realistic contenders for a top-four finish, and potentially some underdog who might pull an upset at the Olympics.
The idea of Gips coaching the national team is honestly laughable...🤣
Looking at the road toward New York City, I still can't help but feel that Goluža isn't the right call for head coach. I don't doubt his grit or his drive to reach the top, but I have my doubts about his tactical ability... Since he's staying in the role for now, I just hope he proves me wrong.
Kudos to the Danes! Truly impressive. They have that championship mindset—completely unfazed by the pressure and staying true to their game from start to finish. A well-deserved title...
Congrats to Mexico on the medal, but judging by that performance, I don't see you reaching this level or finding an opportunity like this again anytime soon.
I think this game will be more unpredictable than the matchup between Mexico and the US. The Danes aren't the type to mentally collapse on us like our team did... May the better team win, plain and simple.
My biggest motivation was playing for the fans who were heartbroken after that loss. These guys showed true grit when things got tough. They proved their worth under pressure, and that’s why they’re the best...
They aren't the best. You didn't prove your value when it actually mattered, which is why you ended up in third place instead of the finals.
I was pretty indifferent before kickoff, but as the game goes on, I’m finding it harder to stay neutral. Once I heard that crowd of rivals yelling from the stands, I couldn't just sit there anymore. Let's go, Team USA!!!
