When someone just doesn't click for me, I try my best to pretend they don't exist, as if we've never crossed paths. I just stop acknowledging them entirely—it’s like wiping them from my memory clean.
You can't even be honest with yourself. You have zero motivation to do anything, go anywhere, or even knock out those few exams. You could easily spend the entire day just stuck in bed. This isn't some mental health crisis; it’s just pure laziness. You can try to argue with me, but you'd just be lying to yourself.
What you actually need is a kick in the pants and a little bit of drive. Get those exams done. Take a second to think about how your friends managed to move forward while you're stuck behind. It's not like you're any less smart than they are—you just need the willpower to sit down, study, and get through these tests. Finding a side hustle is always an option, but if you're constantly hunting for excuses, that's just laziness. Losing weight is the same deal: eat less and hit the gym.
If you keep lying around like this, your life is going to stay pretty miserable, rotting away in your room without ever experiencing anything interesting.
Because at the end of the day, it's just laziness and 🙂
I honestly don't get why this happens to me. When I'm studying, I move through the material pretty fast; I absorb everything I need to know and it all sticks. But the second I sit down for an oral exam, it’s like my brain just shorts out. Everything gets scrambled. I end up forgetting half of what I actually learned, which means my grades on exams or presentations are always lower than they should be. I know I'm capable of better. The worst part is walking out of the room and suddenly remembering every single thing I couldn't recall during the test. It’s the same pattern whenever I have to give a speech in front of a crowd or when I'm put on the spot during a seminar; I freeze up and lose my train of thought, even though I prepared. I can't tell if it's genuine anxiety or if I'm just a lost cause, but in those high-stakes moments, I always lose my footing. Is there actually a way to fix this? It isn't even about being intimidated by professors or large groups—I'm fine with people. It’s just that precisely when I need my knowledge the most, I blank out. What's the move here? Is this a lack of confidence, or am I just dealing with intense performance anxiety?
If things escalate into a fight, you just have to find a way to ignore it or... I don't know. If you're arguing with someone you care about, it shouldn't turn into some massive blowout. I honestly don't get how people let things get so heated that they start throwing insults, only to end up saying "sorry" later. Secondly, getting lost in an argument is one thing if there's a legitimate reason behind it, but I try to stay level-headed. When a conflict starts, my approach is to try to keep the conversation under control. I attempt to win them over with logic rather than using foul language. If that fails, I just back off. I'll walk away and give myself an hour to cool down alone. That way, both sides can see that the argument isn't going anywhere—and more importantly, it prevents things from turning physical.
To be honest, I used to struggle with ADHD. Back then, I was a total disaster—constantly dodging people, drinking too much, losing myself in war games, stealing, getting into fights. My self-esteem was non-existent and I had zero drive. But once I hit 20, it was like someone flipped a switch. Everything just vanished. Now, I’m out and about regularly, working hard, feeling confident, and life is actually going smoothly.
