If you actually need help with complications, people are like, "But whyyyyyy?? Why wouldn't you just push through until the end??" Like, total disbelief from everyone.
But if you don't need anything? "Wait, what?? You're crazy, why would you even try to work this long!"
It makes zero sense to me. I really hope that when people eventually become pregnant or parents themselves, they learn to be a little less judgmental with their comments.
Oh, and something that totally threw me for a loop today: "When are you going to post the news on Facebook?? Why are you being so secretive about your pregnancy?"

I went through all that nonsense at work, and then I just got this nonsense for Facebook from my cousin, who also took the liberty of calling me out for not liking every single one of her 300+ photos featuring her baby and a car (I honestly couldn't figure out the logic behind the car part 🙂) I'll admit, I only looked at the first ten 😳
It honestly irritates me when I see comments along the lines of, "Oh, how on earth are you going to manage that?" (we don't have any grandparents nearby) Look, we aren't exactly the first generation to grow up without grandparents living just down the street. We'll figure it out.
I really can't afford to deal with any complications right now. I had a bit of a rough start with this pregnancy, but since I just landed this job and things weren't too hectic during the summer months, I was able to just take a week of sick leave and call it a day. To give you some context, my role involves doing site measurements and drafting bids for a construction firm. I’m often out in the field for several hours at a time. Usually, I handle it just fine, but lately, everything has felt much more taxing. Sure, it's hot right now, but there are days on the job where I feel absolutely frozen. On top of that, I've been struggling with insomnia, which just fuels my anxiety... I haven't slept properly in a week, and I can't help but wonder how I'll manage once I hit the third trimester. Honestly, even just a few days off to rest and get my nerves under control would be a lifesaver. Instead, all I got from them was a question asking if I wanted a referral to a psychiatrist for medication.
A friend of mine is about as far along as I am, and she spends her time hitting up clubs and going out constantly without a single issue. If she runs into complications, it'll be because she chose that lifestyle. I'm not saying I need to act like her, but it feels like certain people are practically encouraged to live that way.🤷

I'm on the same page as Betty Booth5 regarding Yeasayer—I am genuinely curious to hear the full album, especially since "O.N.E." hits so hard enough on its own. And honestly, the guy looks like a total tool (if it's easier for me to just say it that way).
Then there's that bit where he's shyly rubbing his foot against his other leg: for the time being, I'm actually finding Groove Armada quite enjoyable; they used to irritate me, but now I catch myself singing along to "Paper Romance."
Can we please get a decent rock album released soon? I can't just rely on this Armada stuff forever—that whole Vampire Weekend and Cousins vibe is just too grating for my taste.
Perhaps they’ll drop another name on March 18th once the ticket prices have spiked, and then finally reveal the headliners when we hit the premium tier 😬
Personally, I find the Outsider art scene quite compelling, especially during those long weekends; and Emily Kane is absolutely phenomenal, though I must admit I couldn't even bring myself to finish listening to this latest release.

Mine act just like that too, though I remember when the treasurer basically bailed on us right in the middle of filming some local news segment out in the sticks somewhere. My grandfather still sits there listening to the nightly news at 7:00 sharp every single night.
