Not yet, I have to say. But when I’m out on my bike, there is nothing that gets under my skin quite like an unleashed dog roaming the streets—it hits that same specific nerve as seeing an irresponsible driver cutting people off when I'm behind the wheel of my car. They behave in much the same way: just wandering aimlessly right through the middle of the road, showing absolutely zero regard for their own safety or the people trying to navigate the traffic around them.

Hey everyone, just a heads up—please stop honking at cyclists from behind when you're out on the open road; it’s actually incredibly dangerous for them.
So, what’s your brilliant alternative then? Should I just plow right over him first and then give him a little celebratory honk once he's gone!?
Jason Morgan7, please, Damien is obviously just pulling your leg (he’s lost his sense of humor lately, hasn't he?), but I'm fairly certain it's just a bit of false modesty on his part! Honestly, it's such a breath of fresh air to have someone as genuinely kind as him in our circle. Hehe.
Is it just me, or did someone forget to turn off the vacuum? 🙄

Yeah, because we all know how true that is. 🙄

Wait, if I'm reading this right, the woman actually passed away...
What a massive film. It hits you right away by questioning the whole point of rock and roll, and it does it in such a hilarious way—like that scene where The Yardbirds' guitar, absolutely trashed from a gig, just ends up lying in the middle of the street, only for some random passerby to glance at it with this look of pure, visceral disgust.
But what if we're talking about a grandfather, Jason Morgan7?
The same logic applies to grandfathers, too.
The logic behind it is actually pretty straightforward: if I find myself drawn to someone, I just get up and go for it.
Brega A, I actually mentioned Barra, so I figured I’d better hurry over to this thread.
Well, I think I'll take a little liberty with his most famous quote just to make sure my actual opinion of him comes through clearly:
Screw any song that turns out to be total garbage.
Just keep going; you’re certainly not the one who went off on a tangent here.
There have been so many fascinating vampire movies made over the years, but from what I can gather, there aren't even two decent films that actually portray them in the same way—not even down to the metabolic details, like how they feed or what their specific weaknesses are. Looking at the post above, it seems to imply that Hunger is the author's absolute favorite take on the genre... though, based on what little I know about that one, I haven't actually sat down to watch it myself.
It’s honestly pretty wild how much flak Coppola took for *Bram Stoker's Dracula*, especially considering how much he clearly intended—and, if you ask me, actually succeeded—to deliver a faithful interpretation of that gritty, hardcore vampire biology and the dark poetic essence of the whole mythos.
Well, as far as I can tell, I don't think a single vampire has ever actually filed a defamation lawsuit. So why shouldn't filmmakers stray from the established "canon" of vampire lore? Sometimes you end up with a total piece of junk like From Dusk Till Dawn, while other times you get a really interesting spin on the genre like Carpenter's Vampires. It’s just common knowledge that FDTD is the much bigger crowd-pleaser, so it isn't exactly surprising that this kind of approach has become the industry standard—I guess people just want to be entertained.
The absolute fantasy: SYR 8 : Sonic Youth + Paul Verlaine
Heh, I honestly can’t imagine those unreal tracks sounding any different with this specific lineup. Even Saša Habić mentioned after the fact that he felt almost silly taking a production fee; the guys in the band had such a crystal-clear vision of the sonic direction before they even stepped into the studio. He was really just there to help them execute their own blueprint.
I mean, when you listen to it, could that album possibly sound any better than it already does?
The whole point of this thread is to toss out some dream collaboration ideas—you know, those pairings that could actually result in something legendary. I’m feeling inspired because I just finished listening to Departure lounge's "Too Young to Die," which was produced by Kid Loco, and it hit me: it would be absolutely incredible if Kid Loco took the helm to produce an album for Jim Morrison!
I'm being dead serious here.
I really hope that in about twenty years, they don't decide to make a biopic about you titled "i Shot Bugs Bunny." I mean, looking at how you started this whole thing...
And I'm half male myself...
I’m a little worried we might run into some communication hurdles here, mostly because I only speak living languages.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Meat Puppets 🙂
