Why is everyone so shocked? Honestly, I hear my own father saying it every single night: "Soul, spread those legs." 😈

😂 😁 a highly appropriate joke 👍 😁

Jamie Newman4 said:Look, God chose to create humanity with His own will, and specifically with free will.
It’s the same for the angels—they were created with their own agency and free will.
Once you possess free will, you inherently possess the capacity to choose between good and evil. If evil exists, then by definition, good must exist as well. God always manages to weave something good out of something bad, separating the two.😉
So, what is the response to that?

But I still find myself stuck on a few points: what exactly is God? Who created sin? And who created the being that created sin? And who created the one who created that creator...? It feels like an infinite loop. 🤔

What does any of this actually have to do with free will?

If we truly have free will, how can Hell even exist?

And really, what kind of answer is that? 🤔

🤔 🤔 🤔

the Word said:sin stems from disobedience to God,
for instance, let’s look at the Ten Commandments. If you consider yourself even remotely conscientious or sincere, can you honestly find a single moment where you failed to violate at least one of them? 😉

be honest, if you really think you can.🙂

But why does this God even bother establishing commandments in the first place? What exactly is God? Is sin an inherent part of His nature, or is it something external to Him? If it exists outside of Him, then where did sin originate? Who created it? And by extension, who created the being that created sin? And who created the creator of the creator of sin?

😢

this word said:I don't require any external persuasion; I have already convinced myself that God exists.😉

The weight of 🤣 that inherited sin from Adam remains just as heavy.😉

So, if that is the case, where does sin actually come from? 😢

the word said:man is saved from sin through God's mercy, for all people on this earth are sinners;
and he who claims to be without sin merely lies to himself.
By accepting Jesus, one saves their soul from eternal perdition!!!!

Are you trying to convince me or those cheering you on? 😢

And where did this wretched sin even come from? Was it not perhaps created by someone just as powerful as an almighty God? 😢

salvation isn't found through good deeds, but through faith.

Oh, please. Tell me, my dear friend, from what exactly is one being saved? Surely we aren't talking about escaping a merciful God and His fiery underworld?😲 😢

Jamie Newman4 said:In my view, the soul as a concept is a product of the spirit, even if the spirit itself originates from the soul.

😵 😁

I find myself leaning toward a similar perspective: the spirit acts as a more "expansive" concept, encompassing both the soul and matter (and perhaps even physical form). Is it not more logical to view the spirit as this universal essence, while the soul remains a singular, non-material entity?😁

Death, obviously.👋 😉

And why on earth are you dragging me into this mess?? 😱 😲

🙂
I see... everything makes sense now. As far as I am aware, dehaer is currently preoccupied with her "studies," 😲 so she likely won't be around much over the next few days.

Regardless, thanks for the quick response...

I suppose I should have known this myself, but honestly, I haven't had any reason to touch a physics textbook since my second year of high school, so...😁
Thank goodness, finally.
Why on earth did this malicious forum refuse my post? 😢

Will it actually go through now?
Could someone please clarify who these guys are—you, Paar, and Schips?

Is Paar similar to Vladek, or am I off base?

And what about Schips?

No, I have this persistent intuition even when life feels so stagnant that being in a coma would seem more active by comparison... it isn't about my surroundings, it's entirely internal...

Go ahead, make me the punchline if you must...😢

Paul Campbell3 said:The moment a subject exists, an object must follow. Once you introduce the "I," the "YOU" inevitably arrives.
To even use a word like "devotion" is to assign a label. There is a logical progression toward the object: whether one follows that old trope of "loving oneself" 😁 or chooses you.

Once the striptease is over, there is neither the self nor the other.

🙂

I recently had a sudden realization: LOVE is a RELATIONSHIP.

Think of it this way:

The "I" projects. But when the actor—who doesn't truly exist—is "stripped bare," it is no longer an agent performing an action. Instead, they simply become the fact of it; LOVE then MANIFESTS THROUGH them, stripped of all attributes.

In reality, even this manifestation is a mental construct, as it is the "I" that assigns attributes to love.
And none of this is a "problem"—not until one attempts to define what love is, or what the self is, or what the relationship entails.

For that reason, the only thing we can do here is RAMBLE about what it isn't, because what it IS cannot be put into words.

That is why LOVE is an illusion—not because it doesn't exist, but because it is incomprehensible and inexpressible from the perspective of the JAJAaa.😲

We observe love through a "privileged perspective" because it serves as the initial step where our individualized consciousness "turns" toward another "individualized consciousness"—in short, the "I" turns toward the "YOU."

The truth is:

it is a single "force" that binds and connectsttt, but it does not originate from the JAJAaaa!🙂

Go with the flow..👋

👍 THANKS! That is precisely what I am trying to articulate, though I am still using my youthful, somewhat unrefined way of expressing things.

Karen Sanchez19 said:We really ought to distinguish between universal, absolute love—which is essentially consciousness—

and what most people call "standard love."🙂

The idea is that "standard love" is simply our own subjective experience of affection. Meanwhile, this concept of "universal or absolute love" being synonymous with consciousness doesn't actually generate love itself; rather, it merely scales our understanding of love to match whatever level of spiritual maturity we’ve managed to achieve. In reality, there isn't a functional difference between the two concepts; the distinction lies entirely within the depth of our own perception.

Why on earth would you equate consciousness with love? I find myself unable to agree with that premise...

Balkanijan Pig said:Look, you really need to grasp one fundamental thing.
Specifically:
1) You are a woman.
2) Women aren't exactly known for being perfectly balanced creatures.
3) Of course, not all women are the same.

Given those premises, the conclusion is rather self-evident:
4) None of this makes much sense to everyone.☕

In other words, some people don't require such deep philosophical analysis of interpersonal dynamics just to find purpose in their lives.☕

Just admit it to your old man—you enjoy a little bit of voyeurism now and then, don't you?😳 😁

1) Oh, absolutely.😕
2) Fair enough.
3) But my mother always told me...!🙂
4) Well... history has shown us that great minds are often misunderstood...😎 🙂

My life had plenty of meaning long before I started indulging in these little...😁 philosophical musings regarding relationships. It isn't exactly a necessity for me.

Ryan Wilson2 said:What kind of problems are we talking about now?

I’m certainly not delusional enough to claim I like everyone.

Why... I mean, it’s not as if you lose anything by being kind... quite the opposite, really...

I suspect that the sense of affection Enchantress mentioned isn't actually dependent on "love" in the grand sense. Think about it: when you have a falling out with a best friend over something trivial—it doesn't even have to be a massive blowout—they might not be your favorite person for a little while, but if the bond is genuine, you still know you care about them even when you're angry. You might not want to admit it during those more... intense moments, of course. Or think back to being kids and fighting with a sibling; you never truly convinced yourself that you didn't love them, at least not for long.

Not everyone is dear to me, but I make an effort not to actively dislike them... as a starting point, anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no hippie...😳 😉
Loving humanity in Spirituality ·
Well... you weren't kidding...

What kind of feeling is it? It isn't merely a sensation; it is quite literally Everything. It permeates all things, exists within everything, and encompasses all. Love is our true essence; we were crafted from love—more accurately, OUT of love. Our very soul is love.

God is love, and love is God.

Would you be so kind as to explain why you started this thread? I'm curious to understand your reasoning...🙂

Ryan Wilson2... what seems to be the trouble...?? 😕
