There are so many different ways to tie those things, I've actually given it a shot!
Honestly, the absolute worst part is waking up parched after taking your meds and needing to hit the restroom
but you're stuck there because you're restrained.🙂

That really ought to be banned outright!!

Have you ever thought about trying marijuana? Just as a sleep aid...

If you aren't already a smoker, even better... there's no risk of addiction.
You can find endless recipes online for cannabis edibles.
I'd suggest making some infused butter.
Just have a little bit with some jam about an hour before bed and 😁you'll sleep like a baby.

Maybe try some warm chocolate milk before bed..

Or, even better—don't sleep at all tonight. Just stay active all day tomorrow and you'll be out cold by 9 PM.
They say it’s the best kind of sleep you can get, lasting a solid 22 to 24 hours.

Andrew Ramos10 said:It’s honestly been so fascinating reading through everything under this thread. Who would have thought?!!
I was recently watching a movie on TV starring Russell Crowe. The premise goes like this: he plays this incredibly brilliant guy—a university professor who’s basically a genius at cracking complex codes—so the U.S. military decides they need him for some top-secret project... blah blah, the details don't really matter. Anyway, halfway through the film, we realize—and the protagonist realizes too—that the military wasn't actually recruiting him for a mission; he just imagined the whole thing himself. It turns out he’s actually dealing with schizophrenia. Luckily, he has a wife who sticks by him and helps him through it. Even with his mental struggles, that mathematical brilliance is still there, and he uses his high Intelligence Quotient to spot tiny patterns that help him recognize when his "hallucinations" are about to strike. For instance, a little girl and a friend who appear in his life always stay the exact same age, no matter how many years pass. I mean, it's like he's trying to use pure logic and reason to somehow master his own illness...
What do you all think? Is that actually possible?

"A Beautiful Mind" is basically... well. Every single moment I've spent on this forum has been dedicated to proving that it is possible!!!

Elizabeth Lewis8 said:He really can't do better. Noah Sanchez7 is your textbook drug addict. Everything he says, whether it's here or on any other thread, follows that exact same pattern you hear from every other junkie out there. Noah Sanchez7, am I wrong? I'm pretty sure I'm not. It’s just that whole scene, that philosophy, that specific way of living. He isn't some lone wolf on this forum either; if you take the time to compare his posts to, say, those from other addicts in this thread, a lot of the ambiguity just disappears.

As for the person who started this thread, I truly hope she finds her path as soon as possible so she can save herself and her kid. If she can just find that inner strength, she won't need a rehab center or a hospital. She can handle this all on her own within her own four walls. I’m convinced of it. I know of at least one success story right here on this forum—someone who fought through fifteen years of continuous addiction using nothing but sheer willpower, and they made it out the other side.

Tina, once you finally find (hopefully very soon), make sure you stick to it and don't look back. Good luck.

Awesome, thanks for leaving that HTML code for the thread!

The guy wants to give it a shot and says, "Don't bother answering me, I'm just going to try it."
I'm 100% behind him on this. I fully support his desire to seek out something new, even if it's a little forbidden.

And please, I beg you—you claim your little kids are reading this... How exactly am I supposed to influence them like that? I am stating... So they're going to be junkies??????????
I’m just clearing them of any guilt so it isn't a sin to try.
Well, Eve took a bite of that apple, and suddenly we weren't in paradise anymore. Maybe it was just a Godly test all along—like He knew from the start that Adam and Eve would stumble, simply because He created us with such curious natures.
That's just human nature.

You know, despite all the insults, I’d actually be willing to sit down with your kids if they were interested. I could offer them some guidance and share what I've learned through experience on how they can explore things without facing any real consequences.
The consequences I faced were likely a direct result of my inability to find any decent, straightforward guidance on exactly how and when I should be taking these supplements.
Since I've already fallen into the pit myself, I just want to show everyone else how to dance around the edge without falling in!

And why couldn't I be viewed as a victim who endured all of that, essentially being "used" as a cautionary tale to show others how to avoid the same pitfall?

brightridge59 said:Azrael, look... nobody here is actually CONDEMNING Tencent or Upwork.
He was the first one to claim that "we" (presumably the conformists, the small-minded, and the rest of the crowd) are just chasing money to buy luxury Mercedes cars—which is such a sweeping generalization—whereas he, unlike us unilluminated souls, is chasing money just to get high.
It’s as if he’s positioned himself above the rest of us, acting like he’s somehow more spiritually evolved because he’s supposedly cracked the code to the meaning of life or existence or whatever it is.🙄

Now, I’m certainly not defending comments like "let the worms eat him," but honestly, that’s just a much more radical way of saying "you brought this on yourself." I’m convinced about 90% of people would say that exact phrase if they actually had the guts to do it. Most "average, everyday" Americans just don't have any sympathy for addicts.
They’re selfish, they don't contribute anything to the community, no matter how you define society, and they wreck the lives of everyone around them without giving a single damn.

And then, predictably, they act surprised when they end up poor, isolated, rejected, and judged by everyone.
Give me a break.

Look, you're missing my point; that's not what I meant. I said >>>>>> you chase the Mercedes, I'll chase the high!!!

I have nothing against you chasing that Mercedes; that's your path to happiness, and I'm genuinely glad you're happy. But the high is MY path to happiness, and it's the way for me to be happy!!

I haven't been looking down on anyone except those who lack even an ounce of understanding or tolerance for what I'm writing. And I'm not just writing about myself or for my own sake!
I'm talking about the millions of people who are "addictive personalities"—and honestly, they love drugs. That's just the de facto reality.

The whole essence of my existence can be summed up as: Live, work, and be happy (all the way to heaven), but let others live, work, and be happy (all the way to hell) too.
In the process, don't force your "paths to happiness" on them, because what looks like happiness to you might not be the same for me! We're all different people, and there's plenty of discrimination out there.

hiddentrucker16 said:I’ll just add one more thing—I really can’t defend myself against this, so please, give it a rest. Stop looking down on Noah Sanchez7 or claiming his way of thinking is somehow "horrific," because it simply isn't. You all were in the wrong, throwing around those vile comments—you know, the kind where people say things like, "You'll be food for worms while I'm cruising in my Mercedes." Honestly, having one less idiot around isn't the end of the world, and hiding behind the "majority versus minority" argument is just unfair; you shouldn't attack someone just because they don't align with the crowd... it's truly pathetic. It's perfectly clear why he reacted the way he did. Good grief, you're attacking him as if he's some sort of monster or the ultimate villain. It’s hardly surprising that he feels cornered—that he sees drugs as his only escape—whether he's actually promoting them for profit or not. Even if that were true, I can't find it in me to blame him. In an environment this cutthroat and judgmental, where everyone just piles on a single person, his mindset makes sense. Truly, I think I've had enough of this...

Less condemnation and a little more empathy—that's how we make things better.

I really have to thank you, truly.

If we argue that gay people didn't choose their orientation—which is a relative argument anyway—then we could also say addicts are just born with an "addictive personality," making the whole discussion moot.

Some people claim I'm promoting or glorifying drugs. Based on how they read my entire post...
Well, if that's the case, they completely missed the point.
The way you bring up gay people and compare addicts to pedophiles... that truly insults me.
Whether you think I'll rot in the ground while you drive around in a Mercedes, or say "it's better to have one less addict," it doesn't affect me at all. That only reflects on YOU.
It shows who you really are, quite accurately, because that is exactly what you are. And let me tell you, very few actual addicts "have the guts" to say things like that (and I mean true junkies, not the posers), which is why I will proudly stand on their side in every single way, even with a needle in my vein.
Because, my dear people, that will be my escape; that will be my happiness..
In that way, I will embrace death with open arms and fall into its lap, without ever casting a single glance back at miserable people like you.
Because my stomach has already started to fail me—not from drugs, but from the malice I can't seem to escape. I feel it everywhere I go.

There's no point arguing with you because truth means nothing to you. You are all just a rotten tooth.

That's all from me on this thread.

hiddentrucker16 said:This is truly revolting; I’m reading this and honestly can't believe my eyes... the logic follows that we should just purge all the homosexuals, the addicts, and the lunatics... I genuinely cannot fathom it—you have the audacity to call others "parasites of society" when you are clearly the one acting as a drain on it if anyone else thinks like you do. Veronica, I have just one question: where on earth do you think you get the right to act this way?

She doesn't know what a right is. Not morally, and certainly not God's..

George Ramirez11 said:I’m honestly not even sure who I should start quoting first... the one who prioritizes a predator over someone struggling with addiction, or the healthcare worker who clearly couldn't care less—because apparently, addiction isn't a disease, it's just some mindless, shapeless mass of people having a blast... or maybe it's the same person? I've stopped paying attention. I don't know why only 1% of people bother to step up when it's actually this simple. And what would be the point of me confessing? I just wanted to get it out there. It's pretty clear that nobody here (with the exception of those few who actually tried to offer something useful) can help me. I'll admit, I probably titled the thread wrong.
Nobody needs to worry about my child, let alone you guys. I feel my own pain plenty well enough, and my kid is this constant little angel whose pain I feel down to my very soul if they so much as scrape an elbow. God knows what other kind of pain exists.
Do you really think you have it all figured out just because you spend your days handing out tips to junkies? I'm not even going to go there.
I’m not looking for excuses, mostly because I haven't lost my mind—I see zero reason to justify myself to anyone HERE. I don't know why I would. Just because rehab isn't for everyone doesn't mean it's a magic fix; I was told that myself at a rehabilitation center, and I see crowds of people every single day who head straight back to their old habits the moment they walk out the doors. Most of the things you call "excuses" actually end in a question mark, if you'd bother to notice. At the end of the day, it comes down to willpower, and there's really no debate there.
Stay healthy, and I truly DON'T want any of you to see an addict when you look at your own children, because NO ONE is immune to darkness. But I DO want you to learn to think differently, even if it hurts or makes you miserable while your perspective shifts.
I never forced my opinion on anyone. I came here looking for support, and instead, I got pelted with stones. People called me an idiot who refuses to get clean, said I should have my child taken away, wished that my son would look at me with disgust, or hoped I’d drop dead within a year... I'm sorry I even sought you out. You really think you're the first ones to try using insults and aggression?
My only consolation is knowing that you either have no clue what you're talking about or you simply aren't thinking. You certainly don't know anything about me.
Go ahead, keep arguing and feeding each other's stubbornness and stupidity. I'm going to move on and look for help within myself and from people who actually give a damn.
Shame on you. Now you can go back to spitting on the depressed, the anxious, and the potentially suicidal... because I guess they're just more "idiots" who refuse help, right?
P.S. Again, thanks to the exceptions who offered supportive words, links, etc. That’s really all I was looking for. I've cried enough in my life that I'm not going to let some internet posts break me.

I don't know what to say to you, dear teenah...
But I just remembered that famous verse: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do"...

My gut tells me that your prejudice won't last much longer—actually, not much longer at all—because people are starting to realize the truth. For some, it's a slow process; for others, it happens fast.
Most people fall into the slow category. Since they are the majority, their opinions tend to carry more weight.
So, the slightly sharper minds are "condemned" by this injustice, and all that remains is for them to fight against it.
To fight in every way possible, even if it costs them their lives.

Evil, intolerance, and stupidity are things that slowly fade away. Let that be your light in the dark, because it certainly is mine.

Keep loving your little angel. Keep pushing forward, just like everyone else. Don't give up... Protect Him! 😘

Gerald Ward61 said:Why would someone so smart, warm, and brilliant fall so hard for drugs?
The kid... after reading all that, I'm thinking about this:

...you'll get through this period, little guy... having a "perfect" mom under "support"... listen, I believe it's "heavenly"... because with a vibe like that, the kid is "blessed" too... but honestly, I'm more worried about the withdrawal period (you have to protect that little one... because there's no heaven there) and then that stretch leading up to the "golden era"... the kid grows up seeing "shooting"... so it becomes normal for him... there's a huge chance he'll try it... and an even bigger chance he'll keep going (he's even got indirect support)... and you've worked so hard to make sure he has everything... will you be able to survive this...

...but then again, if he never even gets a shot at living before passing away early... what kind of life would that even be? Just pain... pure pain... and there’s something else too... the shame of letting your parents down... if you end up in this spot because of your situation... I’m positive you won't be able to live with that. Right now, he is your entire world... and that’s exactly what gives you the grit to face your flaws and all that suppressed agony...

Despite everything you're going through... I can tell you have STRENGTH... because not every "addict" mom acts the way you do. To me, it sounds like you're just a traveler who lost their way... and honestly? It's time to find a compass (life has a funny way of handing them to you when you least expect it...!) and just start moving, even if you're crawling... because that's how those first "giant leaps" actually begin...

You aren't meant for a life like this... I know that for a fact!
Come on, lady... make that kid proud! 😘

We have finally reached the heart of the matter >> creating and shaping a society >> so that a child isn't ashamed of having a parent with an addiction, and an addict isn't ashamed of their struggle, just as a person in a wheelchair shouldn't be ashamed of their physical disability..

Now, does anyone have the guts and integrity to argue that such a hypothetical, less intolerant society wouldn't be better than the one we live in today?

Am I hearing you right, "violent" and unadjusted with a disgusting persona..?

Steven Lopez19 said:Honestly, I don't think that's the case either, but let's be real—if you're chasing a high, you aren't exactly focused on your career goals.

Look, I’ve met plenty of people who struggled with addiction, got clean, and are living totally normal lives now. Some are still hitting up a rehabilitation center periodically... and I actually hang out with some of them...
And I'll tell you, they are genuinely great people—smart, hardworking, and solid...
It’s just a shame you couldn't say that about them before they got their act together. That's just how it is.

When are you guys finally going to... Do you see what I mean? 😠 😠 😠
I'll be driven by my cravings for drugs, while you all chase a new Mercedes-Benz or a massive plasma CNN.

I just wanted to say this to clear up any stereotypes: being an addict doesn't automatically mean you're unintelligent.

That way, we won't be unfairly blaming everything on drugs.👍

Now he’ll probably claim it’s his "free choice" to get off the horse, just as he "chose" to be on it in the first place..
But I say this: fine, go ahead and choose how you get down. You knew exactly what the consequences of drug use were, so now you can face them head-on..

I second this.

I made my own choices and had a pretty good idea of what I was getting into. If I want to go to a rehabilitation center, I will.
And if I don't, that's also my call.

I don't see the issue, unless everyone here just lost their cool like that one user with the "violent" avatar..?

Harold Flores4 said:Oh, man, you couldn't be more wrong if you tried! I had a brother who was an addict... Are you even listening? He was!
We went through hell watching him spiral right in front of us... we were constantly having to deal with his "dealers"... dealing with the police...
Just picture this: ten SWAT officers in full gear kicking down the door, screaming at everyone to get on the ground face-first, including a six-year-old kid. Just imagine that level of terror... the sheer shock of it all....
Okay, so we somehow managed to pull through, but it definitely left its mark.
Then one day he ends up in the ER... diagnosis comes back as a tumor. Emergency surgery. And go ahead and guess where? His liver, obviously. The disease spreads fast, metastases everywhere... and before long, my brother is gone.
I spent two years on disability leave. It triggered a depression that had actual physical symptoms. I couldn't function normally, and I had two kids at home to look after. Can you imagine what they were going through back then? Thank God I'm doing much better mentally now than I ever have.
But... even today, there isn't a day that goes by where my seven-year-old girl doesn't cry for him. I see my little guy suffering through it too. And the grandparents?
So, now you tell me, was he only destroying himself? Did he only have responsibility toward himself?
I can see you think you're pretty smart, but I honestly don't get your perspective on any of this. I know and believe that addiction is a nightmare and getting clean is incredibly hard, and that addicts will come up with a thousand excuses, which is why I read your posts the way I do, but I’m afraid you're giving the original poster a totally warped view of reality—even though she knows it herself, she just found one person who thinks like her and it makes her feel less alone. If someone refuses to get clean, they need to realize their child won't have a future with them.
Sweetie, I am sending you so much strength, willpower, and love, along with a huge amount of support.

That’s true, mostly because an addict views themselves as a completely independent entity, which I honestly see as an advantage.
Why should my behavior be dictated by those close to me?

If they actually care about me, they should respect my freedom rather than trying to use their "attachment" to control what I do!!
