Look, these aren't just excuses. You can't blame the car forever. This time around, he straight-up messed up on the track. If he hadn't spun out, he would've been standing on that podium right now.
The guy peaked way too early and now he’s in a total freefall. Plus, that stretch where Red Bull Racing had such a massive advantage with the most dominant car in modern Formula 1 history definitely casts some doubt on his actual driving talent.

Max had to move all the way to the very edge of the track to stay on—and per the rules, he doesn't have to use the entire curb to defend, yet Max ended up with his whole car on it here. His only option was to go off track (which would have made those of you who hate him feel great, lol), while Carlos just veered right like nobody else was even there:
"When you aim for the apex with a car inside of you, it's your fault. Therefore it's 100% Sainz's fault. Luckily for Max he didn't get any damage from an incident where he was totally innocent."
Right after the race, he even admitted they didn't deserve the podium because what happened to Charles was just awful, especially since he drove such a brilliant race.
Even the steering wheel is pointed hard to the right the whole time.

What the hell happened to Lewis Hamilton? The guy aged overnight. His face looks completely saggy, wrinkles everywhere, deep lines on his cheeks, and his neck is totally shot. I was watching an interview he did on Graham Norton just two years ago, and he looked like a literal kid. Now he’s out here with that same hairstyle looking like some washed-up punk.
I honestly don't think he’s going to nail the start. There's zero chance he keeps that P1 spot. He's just too green—he's going to let the nerves and the pressure get the better of him.
How many times have we seen young prodigies step into a top-tier seat and immediately overshadow a multi-time champ during the opening rounds? Just look at what Lewis Hamilton did to Fernando Alonso. This kid is an absolute generational talent.
The only reason Sebastian Vettel didn't get absolutely wrecked in that first race was thanks to a quick pit stop, so naturally, everyone is feeling optimistic.
Even though I don't root for Ferrari, I feel for them. But honestly, as a dedicated hater of that German scam, I am going to absolutely love watching Charles Leclerc tear it up.

Look, there’s a massive difference between dropping in for an occasional test and actually giving useful input, versus just whining every single weekend and driving everyone crazy with constant complaining. I bet it was a total blast working with him all the time, especially since he spent half his life basically screaming at them on a daily basis.
We’ll just have to wait and see how Sebastian Vettel handles the start tomorrow. I’ve got a bad feeling he’s going to pull one of his classic dirty moves at the expense of his teammate. It wouldn't be the first time he uses his elbows to force his way through, leaving his own teammate stuck further back on the grid just because he can't help being selfish.
Bye bye, Sebastian Vettel 🤣, I’m really hoping Max can give Mercedes-Benz a run for their money tomorrow.
McLaren absolutely crushed qualifying 😍, and I think they’re finally ready to step up their game this season. Formula 1 needs McLaren back at the top where they belong.
