Last year, around June, I put down a deposit for September and ended up paying $41,
but now you're telling me it's jumped to $45!

My bad, sorry about that typo,
just a bit of misinformation on my end. 🙂

Does anyone have recommendations for a good bakery? I am looking for somewhere other than Magnolia Bakery.

viadel hands down serves the best cakes I've ever had in my life. 👍 👍🙏

It was around thirty-eight bucks last time I checked, but honestly, who even knows what the price tag looks like these days?

Zachary White9 said:Regarding the 100s band, I booked them along with the female singer—what happened with her? Was she that bad?

She wasn't exactly terrible, but honestly, wasn't I way more captivated by the guy on the guitar and how he was absolutely shredding?
I honestly think they should just add a section for pastries and desserts to the menu; I have nothing but praise for Sweet Magnolia because, frankly, I’ve never tasted better cakes at a party, and let me tell you, the prices aren't even breaking the bank
important
I figured I’d drop a few thoughts here....
So, I was at a banquet last night
and here are my little impressions
just kidding Diocletian is absolutely stunning; if you're looking to host a party for about 100 people, it's the perfect spot. The food was top-tier, the service was honestly better than I expected—they were all over the place in the best way possible, making sure our tables were perfectly set and nothing was ever missing...
As for the music,it was a 100s trio consisting of two guys and one woman, though if I were planning my own event, I think I’d skip the female vocalist; they were good enough to keep the energy up, though.
And of course, we had to mention the photographer and videographer, Studio In who have already received endless praise, and I can personally vouch for them too. They have this incredible way of being completely unobtrusive while still capturing every single moment—honestly, they blew me away.
The floral arrangements were handled by a local florist who did an amazing job; everything from the rose vases and the main centerpieces to the bouquets, the car decor, and the church arrangements deserved a standing ovation.
I think that covers it for now, but if anyone is dying for more specifics, feel free to shoot me a private message.

Jacob Harris88 said:At that point, I certainly won't be worrying about the band—I imagine there will be someone in prison who knows how to play an instrument...🙂

Look, just take a breath; I’m actually holding out hope that you can somehow talk some sense into them, though God help us all because I truly cannot wrap my head around this level of sheer unprofessionalism.
You absolutely have to let us know how it all turns out, won't you?

Jacob Harris88 said:Help, help, help—I am genuinely on the verge of a complete breakdown!
Today, with exactly sixteen days left until my wedding, the band informs me that they might not even play, or if they do decide to show up, they won't arrive before 11:00 PM!!!
Should I just offer them more money right now to ensure they don't screw me over... or should I just send them packing? I honestly have no idea how anyone is supposed to find a replacement band that's actually available on Valentine's Day with only two weeks to go...

Which ones are you talking about?

Look, I don't have a clue, but I'm sure someone will eventually chime in and let you know.

Microsoft if you’re looking for a photographer from Photo California, I’d honestly suggest Raymond Brooks7—the guy is absolutely top-tier and his work is just incredible 👍

So, what kind of damage are we talking about here? What’s the price range? 🤷
new room

I was just reading on the forums that the new room is officially open, so if anyone actually needs someone to go verify that for them, there you go.
I was actually thinking about leaving a comment on this... Is there anything more absurd than the "miracle duo" everyone keeps raving about? It’s almost impressive how people can look at such a predictable outcome and somehow frame it as some sort of divine intervention or a stroke of unexpected genius. Does anyone actually believe this was anything other than what we all saw coming from a mile away? Same here. 👎
The only thing I actually liked about the whole experience was the pacing; his sets run for about two hours at a stretch, followed by a decent ten or fifteen-minute breather to catch your breath?
Is there any end to his endless stream of letters? Honestly, does he just sit around all day drafting these things? 🤮
Emily Sanders3 said:I went to Gloria this summer and the food was terrible. The room was a nightmare...👎

Is there anyone out there who actually agrees with me besides my better half?
The dining area was a complete nightmare—they didn't even bother turning on the AC, so we were all just sitting there sweating through our clothes; I personally felt like I’d been caught in a downpour...
But then again, our meal was actually fantastic; I had some prosciutto, cheese, white risotto, and a little bit of roast because I was starving, and it was honestly delicious. 👍 👍
My partner tried the black risotto too, and he said it was absolutely abysmal.
So, I recently attended a party there, and let me tell you, the atmosphere was just... underwhelming, to say the least.gloria All I know is that if it were up to me, I’d never book this place again; but hey, if that’s your kind of thing, be my guest. The food was actually fantastic—honestly, one of the best meals I've had in a while—but the venue itself? It was a total bust. We're talking tiny windows, decor that feels like it hasn't been updated since the 19th century, and a dance floor so small you could barely move. And that's just scratching the surface, so I hope my little breakdown helps someone else decide whether to book it or just cross it off their list entirely..
As for the waitstaff, I couldn't shake the feeling that they were all operating under some sort of strange, unspoken set of instructions, though I can't quite put my finger on it; they weren't hovering over us the entire night, but it definitely felt a bit off.

irontrucker said:I'm getting married next year and I know the owner personally, so that's nonsense.👍
The guy is actually a friend of the boss, but even if he wasn't, I’d pick that venue because it is 😍 way too good to pass up.

So, from what I’ve gathered, it turns out the information I was working with might have been completely off base, and if that's the case, I suppose I should probably offer everyone a sincere apology through this thread?
