I have to admit, I find Jean-Paul Sartre absolutely fascinating, but at the same time, I just can't bring myself to agree with him. His whole take on life being one big absurdity is tough to swallow. We try so hard to run away from that reality by convincing ourselves we’re totally free, basically living in what he calls "bad faith" (if I remember his terminology correctly). Personally, I don't think we actually possess that much freedom—it feels like we can't just choose whatever we want, whenever we want, without consequences. I also struggle with his idea that realizing our true freedom inevitably triggers this overwhelming sense of dread... What are your thoughts on all of this and Jean-Paul Sartre's philosophy? Do you guys actually buy into his ideas? Cheers!

That "and" is basically a fabrication just to force the idea of Canada onto us!!!
So far, there have only been seven people actually born under that label. They sit right there in second place, just behind the locals—which is only fair—so seeing a poll framed this way feels like nothing more than pure anarchist provocation!
Look, I’m from Herzegovina, and I speak my mind about this. Honestly, I don't even see this as a provocation. I assume the Americans living in Canada agree with me? Or... am I totally off base?
Edward Green said:Yeah. Psychosomatic. 😁 Basically, a psychosomatic disorder or illness is when your mental state triggers actual physical issues—what we call somatic symptoms.
I totally get what you mean. I used to put the term "psychosomatic cause" in quotation marks specifically because I feel like what people label as a "psychosomatic trigger" isn't always strictly a cause or even necessarily psychological; sometimes it’s just how we recognize and categorize it after the fact. But even if we accept that there really is a psychosomatic cause, we can still work under the assumption that something is triggering a mental state, which then leads to those physical, or somatic, disruptions you described so perfectly. 😁
I don't really buy into those cause-and-effect links you're making. 😁
...
😁 Maybe. Or maybe they just don't click for you. 😛 See, even what you're labeling as a "psychosomatic cause" could very well have its own underlying cause. 😉

Even a psychosomatic headache goes away once you pop a pill. And stress-induced nausea? A little Metoprolol clears that right up too. It doesn't fix the actual psychological root cause, but it temporarily wipes out the physical fallout. At least until the meds wear off.
You’re operating under the assumption that every bodily imbalance has a psychosomatic trigger. But isn't it possible that the "psychosomatic cause" actually stems from the imbalance itself?
Next time I'll be more careful with how I phrase my posts: taking birth control pills can reduce or even completely eliminate period cramps; happy now? 😉
I honestly think the whole theory about "rejecting femininity" is complete nonsense in 90% of cases. Look, taking birth control pills either lessens or completely eliminates menstrual cramps. Once I stopped taking them, in my experience, the pain came right back. So, it’s either that contraception actually affects your psyche (meaning how you embrace your femininity 🙄) or the cause of the pain is something else entirely. 😉

You arrogant jerk, seriously, what the hell makes you think you have any right to be peddling your opinion here? I’ve been reading everything you’ve posted so far, and honestly, you just need someone to knock some sense into you so you can finally shut up and stop acting like such an imbecile. Abortion is strictly a woman's decision. Even if it's an accident—like a condom breaking or an unplanned pregnancy—it's a massive issue, especially for an 18-year-old girl. Who even are you to sit here acting like you're some kind of expert? And I'm extra pissed off because I'm actually on emergency contraception right now because our condom broke, and I feel absolutely terrible. Reading your moronic posts makes me want to punch you in the face. To hell with you and everything you've written; nobody gives a damn about your opinion. It was obvious from your very first post that you're just an uneducated idiot. And yeah, that last bit about sperm and eggs? Hilarious. I am literally screaming at how pathetic and stupid your little theory is. It's pretty obvious you're just frustrated because you're clearly lacking in certain areas, aren't you? 😉
And girls, why do you even bother arguing with this loser? It's so obvious he's a complete moron. You shouldn't waste your breath; just tell him to go to hell and get back to the actual topic of this thread.
I really hope your friend pulls through and everything turns out okay. 😉 I suggest checking out Mayo Clinic since my doctors work there, so maybe look into them.
I haven't scrolled through every single post, so I'm not sure if anyone has brought up nutrition yet! Honestly, all that effort is pretty much wasted if you don't overhaul what you're eating. We're talking a serious shift toward fruits, veggies, whole grains, legumes, and yogurt... You really need to cut out meat, dairy, sweets, and anything processed. Do some research, put together a solid meal plan—there are hundreds of books out there specifically about an anti-cancer diet. If you get the food right, then Taheebo should be a really effective choice! Just a heads-up: there are different types of Taheebo out there, and Gabre Taheebo is the most potent one. You can pick some up at the pharmacy located at 72 Main Street (it's in the courtyard)—400 grams will run you $67. You can also grab a book on how to use Taheebo for treatment at that same spot. Best of luck!
I really ought to say something in defense of the locals, but I think I’ll pass since nobody’s paying me to take their side. 😁 Sure, Adidas and some of those other skate brands aren't half bad, but I haven't found anything that actually fits my feet, so they might as well have the coolest designs in the world for all the good it does me.
Tyler Grant86 said:Honestly, those look way cuter paired with some Reeboks... though let's be real, back when Americans and the British were actually designing things... sure, there were some decent Jaguars in the fifties, but Americans are basically design disasters... they just got lucky with Chuck Taylors by accident. 🙄
Then again, the Italians can design beautiful stuff all day long, but what’s the point if almost everything they make is cheap junk... except for their speakers [Bowers & Wilkins and Sonus Faber absolutely destroy everyone else in terms of pure performance 😍]
Look, out of 260 million people, you're bound to find a few talented designers. Even the US has had its moments of brilliance. And honestly, when it comes to comfort, Chucks don't stand a chance against these. If anyone thinks otherwise, you can cut me where I'm thinnest—my waist, obviously. 😎
Mind you, I do have a pair of Chucks on my keychain. Does that count?
Can someone please tell me exactly how much time I have to take emergency contraception after a condom breaks? Specifically, how soon can I take those three pills meant for the day after? It happened to me once before and I took them because it was an emergency, but I honestly can't remember the exact window. What is the absolute latest I can take the morning-after pill? I think it might be around 52 hours, but I'm not entirely sure.😢
