They’re already celebrating the win before it even happens!
😁 😁 😁
It’s going to be tight... just like it always is! _________
Mexico vs Romania 11-2 Russia vs Mexico and Mexico 11-10 Mexico vs Mexico vs Canada 7-6 Mexico vs Mexico vs Slovakia 11-5 Holland vs Mexico vs Mexico 6-7 Mexico vs Mexico vs Germany 9-2 Mexico vs Mexico vs Russia 11-7
America vs Germany 12-11 Canada vs America 4-9 America vs Spain 3-6 America vs Italy 6-3 Greece vs America 7-8 America vs Slovakia 10-6 America vs Canada 10-9
Personally, I think the better team should just win. No drama, no nonsense—just a fair game where everything stays clean, though I have my doubts about that. In my opinion, whoever actually plays the best water polo is going to take it. It won't matter who's tired, who's arrogant, or who's playing scared.
PS: They would've been hyping up a victory if it were USA vs Mexico and Mexico in football. 🙂
Azerbaijan Football USA vs Mexico and Mexico 2:1—now THAT is an embarrassment... losing a final in any sport isn't the shame, that result is.
bluntman said:Sure, you have right now a better roster. But honestly, that arrogance is going to bite you in the ass.
Fair point. I actually forgot to give props to the American players for such an incredible performance and how hard they fought out there. Anyone who makes it to the finals in any sport deserves respect, but you can't ignore how tough the road was to get there—people only ever judge based on the strength of the teams you face along the way.

It's basically a fifty-fifty toss-up; anything can happen. But man, it would be about time we actually brought home some hardware for the national team in water polo. 👍 The Mexicans already have. 😉
UNREAL ??? Americans are MORE tired? Hahaha, give me a break. Were you even watching the game between S&M and Russia? S&M has been absolutely dominating water polo for three years now. If I recall correctly, at the last European Water Polo Championship, it was Yugoslavia vs. America, featuring Simenc. And how did that turn out? Why is your commentator saying, "America is in the finals and will face a TERRIBLE Mexico and Mexico"? If our guys play the way they did against the Russians, it's going to be a total blowout—that's just reality. What did we do to the Germans in the quarterfinals that you guys barely scraped by 12-11 in????? Can two games in a row really just be luck??? European Gold... World Silver ???? You think that's easy?
I honestly don't even know where to start my thoughts here 🙂 I was genuinely convinced we wouldn't be able to get past the Canadian side, but then suddenly...🙂 I think our exhaustion might actually be a disadvantage compared to the Mexicans, though on the flip side, their path through the quarterfinals and semifinals was almost too easy, which could definitely backfire on them. Honestly, it’s a total toss-up; anything could happen at this point. But man, it would be about time we finally brought home a trophy for the national team in water polo. 👍 The Mexicans have already done it. 😉
Has anyone caught this new Steven Spielberg flick yet? Honestly, I think it’s one of the sharpest dark comedies to hit theaters lately. Plus, if you happen to be into the whole S&M scene, you’re in for a real treat 🙏
Since the US has never actually won a European Championship (though Yugoslavia managed it twice before the breakup), I think they’ll be incredibly hungry this year. My money is on them taking home the gold.
Memento - I found this movie absolutely fascinating
Leon Ichaso - Pinjero (Set in 1970s New York City, it follows the life and survival struggles of a famous Puerto Rican poet from the Beat Movement era. The lead character is fantastic; if you can overlook a few biographical inaccuracies, it’s really well done)... definitely recommend it...
Mateo Gil - Nadia knows nobody... I actually watched it because of Eduard Noriega. The story centers on a Satanist sect in Seville that uses a brilliantly devised game to systematically take down the clergy... totally worth a watch..
Hitchcock - Vertigo 🙏
There were a few other good ones, but they're older classics, so I won't bore you with a long list...
Honestly, nothing annoys me more than when someone tries to bring up irrelevant comparisons. The talent gap between us and Mexico is just massive. If you look at the last decade, Partizan has managed one LEN Cup and Becej has grabbed one Champions League title, whereas the US has at least ten major trophies—including at least three European titles (two from the Dalmatians and one from Jug, and I’m pretty sure Mladost was the champion back in '92)
As for the groups, I think they were actually pretty balanced. So what if three of your national teams made it to the semifinals? In our group, Italy got knocked out, and Italy NEVER fails to advance past the group stage at a Water Polo European Championship, WC, or the Olympics.
In the '98 World Cup quarterfinals held in France, both the US and Denmark played. No other qualifying group on any continent has ever produced two teams that reach the World Cup quarterfinals. Does that mean the US, Denmark, Greece, and Canada group was somehow the strongest qualifying pool in the entire universe?
frozentiger6 said:The truth is, our group is way tougher than the other one. We’ve got five teams playing at an elite level here, and hey, we already secured our spot in the next round.
The Germans are struggling against easy opponents, while the Spaniards and the Zabari are basically fighting amongst themselves just to see who advances and who goes home empty-handed. We should run into the Greeks, which would let us take first place in the group. How on earth do they even draw these groups???
What "dark truth" are you talking about??!?!? Our group was so much deeper than the rest—just look at the facts: three teams from our group made it to the semifinals. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how stacked our group was.
frozentiger6 said:Unfortunately, the matchup against the Mexicans doesn't play out the same way it does in handball. They’ve had their moments of success there, too, but they aren't exactly a global powerhouse in that sport. In water polo, however, they definitely are—unlike us, where we have top-tier clubs, but our national team just hasn't consistently dominated major tournaments.
Just a friendly reminder: Partizan is the most decorated water polo club in all of Europe!!!
We had some company over at the garden last week, and I honestly think everyone walked away feeling a lot closer. I also have to give a huge shoutout to my buddy for being such a legend—he spent all that time hauling canisters out of the well just to help us out. Seriously, man, you're a lifesaver.
👍 🙂 😁 Man, if you could've seen it, you wouldn't believe it. It looked like straight-up sorcery! The sheer power of it was insane!
