Did anyone catch that interview with Lino after the game?
Lino, just know that every single American is rooting for you. You’ve got a massive 🙏 coming your way, and honestly, it doesn't even matter what happens in the Final (even though we're going to breeze past the Germans 🙂 ).
And seriously, this national team deserves to have the President personally show up in the arena! Too bad we aren't playing in The Hague... (oops, getting political on you 😁 ).

Major respect to the Spaniards; they were a tough, fair opponent 🙏
As for us... pure GOLD!!! 😁

Urpanus says: Jesus, what on earth was that?! I can't thank them enough. I practically died jumping and screaming right in front of the TV, so I can only imagine how they felt out there. Lacković is a legend among legends. Especially after that one line—"Why were you even worried? Of course we were going to win." U S A [/

Man, we could hear you from here...! 😁 😁 😁
With the way you were yelling, we knew exactly when we scored! 😁 😉

Gold medal! 👍

Yeah, I did say a while back that I’d only show my face back on the IMF during a truly special occasion... and tonight definitely counts! 😉

But don't get too excited—I'm just here for this specific thread, not making a permanent comeback to the IMF. 🙄

P. S. Urp, I'm glad you stepped up to take over my spot... did the admins finally get around to reading my emails where I suggested you as my "successor," or did you just hustle your way into the role? Either way, 👍

Even though I distanced myself from the IMF about six months ago, I feel like it’s only right that I weigh in tonight—especially since I used to moderate the "Other Sports" section (formerly known as the "Alcatraz escapee" thread)....

BRAVO BOYS!!! YOU ARE HEROES!!!

I honestly don't have the energy to write much more; I'm still trying to process everything after witnessing the greatest handball spectacle in history!

Swabian Pride: FINALS TIME OOOOOOOOOO!!!
LET'S GO BOYS!!!

Dragec and I just polished off two liters of wine and probably lost about ten ounces of pure grit in the process. Honestly, we Americans should start exporting our nerves—we clearly have a massive surplus, though it’s hardly surprising given where we live. At least we showed everyone exactly what Americans are made of. Cheers to us!👍

Timothy Cox2 : In Huston's last movie, "Castaway"

Actually, Huston's final film was "The Dead" back in 1987.
🙂 BHD

TOMORROW WE TAKE THE GOLD! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

👋 👋 👋 👋 👋 👋 👋 👋

PS I'm still shaking

YEEEEEEESSSSSSSS

SMOOOOOOOOO WE ARE HERE

9 : 14
we can do better than this 😛

Thank God! They already looked a bit ridiculous out on the track!🙂 Let's hope they've actually made some progress, because this season is going to be way more interesting if another team can actually keep up with McLaren and Ferrari!

morski vražičko said:And honestly, all of you who were busy trashing them actually had a hand in this... who knows, maybe they just stumbled upon this forum while surfing during their downtime... saw the very first page... and decided, "Hey, let's show these IMF bureaucrats that we know what's really going on."😁 😁 😁

In that case, it’d probably be better if we just kept talking trash.🙂

FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE FINALE

Seriously, I hear Ivano Balić stays up surfing the web until three in the morning, getting totally worked up over us before he starts prepping his shots like he's aiming projectiles. Lino Červar gives him an absolute earful whenever he catches him scrolling on his laptop in the restroom, but once he sees the actual results from all that late-night grind, he lets it slide.😲 😁

shadowgardener12 said:Oh man, you act like certain psychological aspects are some big mystery—as if 20th-century philosophers didn't "casually mention" that people gravitate toward specific philosophies based on who they are. Their character, their psyche. So, even the mere act of choosing is rooted in one's own mind...
At the level of the psyche, there’s really no distinction between philosophy and religion. Just think about it. And hey, let Nietzsche guide you!

By trying to inject psychology into the teachings of Patanjali, you’ve really shown just how little you actually know about philosophy and psychology.
Look, if you actually understood psychology, you’d realize that most 20th-century movements weren't driven by philosophical leanings, but by how an individual perceives the world—either externally or through a sociological lens. Choosing a school of thought isn't necessarily about your "inner psyche"; it's often just a byproduct of your upbringing, your schooling during adolescence, or
how your social environment shaped your self-image during those formative post-adolescent years.
You're completely off base here, man.
Especially when you try to discredit philosophy using that
ridiculous, childish distinction between "Eastern" and "Western" thought.
From the era of the Vedas until today, philosophy has remained philosophy. You can't say the same for psychology, which is still a relatively newborn discipline that only started finding its footing at the turn of the 20th century.
But honestly, the worst part is that you're lying to yourself.
And god, don't complain that some people can't even choose behaviorism based on their personality. For them, Nietzsche is out of reach.
Then again, plenty of people have said—Nietzsche isn't for everyone.
Let alone people who just twist his words to suit whatever mood they're in.

Feeling some major romantic vibes today.

Awesome, so that bit about the emperor was interesting. What I'm really curious about is how acupuncture actually works on its own? Does it help curb hunger, kickstart your metabolism, or what exactly is going on?

I’m with you on Dunkin'; he’s really been the weak link in this tournament (not that he’s ever actually stepped up in the big games before).

Everything else is pure magic, and nobody should even question it.
