Kenneth Hernandez67, honestly, good on you for standing your ground and not letting any idiots push you around, no matter how big they think they are.😉 Big wins for you, your old man, and your kid too.

Hang in there. I'm not really sure what else to say.🙂😘😘
How do I quit smoking? in Health ·
Everyone’s got their own little tricks.
For me, I’d chug water every single time a craving hit, or just hum some super cheesy song whenever I felt like I was about to lose it and drive straight to 7-Eleven for a pack.

Honestly, I think the best thing you can do is just be patient when he's acting cranky. It felt pretty gross for about three days for me, but after that, things smoothed out.

But look, even after a full year, I still find myself dreaming about smoking.😳
A few questions for the doctors here... in Health ·
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with seeing a GP. They’re just basing their take on the diagnosis, discharge papers, and everything else provided by the specialist. Basically, they’re just following the lead of someone with more specific expertise. That’s my first point. Second, if I'm remembering correctly—and I can double-check this—you should have the right to request an expert medical opinion during the appeals process.
So, my guy just told me he’s dragging me to the movies this Thursday. I wasn't exactly thrilled at first, but honestly? I'm feeling a little less annoyed about it now.👍
Rubik's Cube in Health ·
Basically: a Rubik is just a mineral you can find right in your own backyard, and it works just like activated charcoal—except activated charcoal is way cheaper. I wouldn't even dream of wasting money on stuff sold by certified scammers.
Trauma from Mayo Clinic in Health ·
frozenangler9, my dear 😢>

Don't let that jury foreman intimidate you. He shouldn't even be allowed to serve if he or anyone under his command could be held liable for negligence. I’m not 100% certain, but I’m pretty sure he can't testify if the doctor accused of negligence works at his hospital.
Do you have the stomach for this? If so, go ahead and file the lawsuit, or at least grab a coffee with the director of the Mayo Clinic—if it's still Nankovic, he's actually a decent, reasonable guy. Someone suggested you take this story to the press—if you decide to go that route, shoot me a DM and I'll see who I can connect you with. Don't worry about them trying to bury it; I personally know about a dozen cases where journalists stepped in to make sure that kind of negligence didn't get swept under the rug.
Justin Gonzalez87, stop gatekeeping the info! A pregnant woman had to be the one to step up and write this out. 😁😁 😁

By the way, those morning-after pills are basically just 3 or 4 birth control pills—usually the combined kind. I actually had to go grab one once after a condom broke, and my wife explained how it works. So yeah, they ARE birth control pills; they just hit you with a massive 4x hormone dose all at once within a 12 or 24-hour window.

Someone please jump in if I got any of that wrong.
Leg and foot cramps: Any advice? in Health ·
Honestly, you should look for a new OBGYN.
Magnesium was a total lifesaver for me—I started taking it like crazy. You just gotta figure out what works for your body.
I’ve tried them. The pill was totally fine—didn't deal with any of those nasty side effects I used to get from Celestron.
My nephew kept trying to convince me to start my cycle on a Sunday or something so I wouldn't hit the weekend, but I just gave him the usual "thanks, but no thanks" and stuck to my guns.👍
Frailty (Angel and Demon) in Movies ·
I almost lost my mind watching *In a Pumpkin* when I saw what he actually brought home... then I watched it and 🙏

It's actually good, though the title *Frailty* hits the mark perfectly. *Angel and Demon* just sounds like something an idiot would come up with.
Zone Diet in Health ·
Ever heard of this? Is anyone else here actually eating according to the Zone Diet? I just stumbled upon the "Life in Zone" book by Barry Sears recently. It all started when a buddy of mine—someone I’ve always envied because he looks incredible despite being glued to a computer screen for 14 hours a day—told me he follows the Zone.
It’s not even a diet in the traditional sense. Honestly, I was pretty bummed out when I realized there aren't really any strict bans, and the recommended meals are super similar to how we eat here in the States (think Mediterranean style).

Anyone interested in hearing more? I'm totally loving this, so I can easily put together a more detailed breakdown for you guys if you want.😁
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
I ditched Cilest specifically because of those mood swings (going from total Weltschmerz to straight-up hell on earth🙄), plus the constant breakthrough bleeding and migraines that kept popping up. I used to be such a massive migraine sufferer that I can usually spot the culprit, and this time, stress wasn't even the issue. After being on them for six months, I went to my OB-GYN planning to get totally off the pill, only for him to find a cyst on my left ovary. Since I’ve never had a cyst in my life, my doctor thinks Cilest is likely the reason. So, I switched over to Triquilar. For now, I’m feeling 👍. Life is good, the cyst is gone, and my boobs are still just as gorgeous and big🙂.

By the way, regarding Diane—those are the pills gynecologists all over the US mass-prescribe to girls. There are plenty of reasons they want people on them: they’re covered by insurance so they're basically free, they clear up acne, and apparently, they help with weight loss. I know quite a few girls who were handed Diane by their doctors without even getting a check-up first.

Reading stuff like this makes me think the smartest move is to just stop taking them entirely. Who knows what you'll end up finding in your system from Cilest or this Triquilar stuff in a few years.

I just quit my job at CVS and immediately caught some kind of infection: 🙄
Basically, in my case, the breast issue wasn't actually resolved, thank God.😁😁
