Thinking about trying drugs

For some people, sure—for others, absolutely not. It depends on a lot of variables.

So, you're saying addicts are just stupid? Like, lacking any actual intelligence or common sense? 😲
Laura Mendoza said:Look, it's fine. Do what you want and consume whatever you please; live your life. 🙂
It just feels wrong to be sitting here on this forum listing the "benefits" and effects of drugs. To me, that’s just unhealthy and frankly almost 👎
So what? Why bother chasing a high when you could just do something that won't wreck your system? It's not even a question.
Yeah, and? Why bother using drugs for a high when you could just do something that won't hurt you at all? I mean, what's even the point?
Laura Mendoza said:And then there are things that provide plenty of satisfaction without ruining you... zero negative consequences.
Laura Mendoza said:Yeah, sure. And drugs feel amazing, too. Yeah, right.
George Palmer7 said:I stumbled upon this thread completely by accident, and honestly, I’m just chiming in without much purpose. But man, look at this kid... he's only 17 and he thinks he's checked every box on the list (😲). Good for him, I guess. We aren't just talking about some kind of prodigy here; we're talking about someone who seemingly never sleeps and operates with an unlimited budget!! I'm 47 years old, and I've spent exactly 17 of those years traveling the globe for work, and even then, I'm just happy that my "to-do" list of experiences is still miles long. There's no need to lecture him—he's made his choice, and he thinks he knows best. All I can offer is a few suggestions for things he hasn't tried yet, though they are absolute madness. After he spends the whole weekend getting wasted and wakes up hungover on Sunday, tell him to try jumping off a 50-foot ledge on Monday. Or maybe on Tuesday, he could try stopping a freight train with his bare hands—just me versus a thousand tons of steel barreling down the tracks at 80 mph... now *that* is an experience, pure insanity. And if he's still feeling brave on Wednesday, tell him to stick a 220V wire up his backside... it provides a better rush than any drug, trust me.
Whoa, what a legendary guy!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙏 👍
(Though, if you ask me, this is probably just someone looking for attention; it's hard to believe anyone could actually be this dense)

I’d walk through the door smelling like an ash tray, get a beating, and then run to the bathroom to light up. Twenty years later, when I was finally quitting, I was actually cursing my mother for not killing the urge in me when I first started. It would have saved me from this whole withdrawal nightmare.
I had a friend who had about 90% more freedom than I did—socially, everything. Her parents didn't even fight her on smoking during high school (which was our number one vice back then). She just quit recently, and she used all that freedom wisely. She actually enjoyed her childhood and her youth. Me? All I had were restrictions. So, at 18, I moved out and started living on my own, much to my parents' horror, and we've been at odds ever since.
Then there's the son of a woman who worked with my mom. He was raised strictly "by the book"—lots of talking, understanding, giving him freedom and respecting his choices. I spent my entire childhood envying him. Fast forward to now: the guy has tried every known drug rehab method under the sun, bounced through every prison in the US... honestly, I don't even know if he's still alive. He robbed his own parents four times. A total inventory—he took everything in that house that wasn't bolted down.
Nobody actually knows how to raise kids. It's a lottery. 🙄
That's why debating "freedom" versus "restrictions" is idiotic. If you're advocating for absolute freedom, then fine—let a 16-year-old get blackout drunk. He wants to, right? If we're talking about freedom, let him destroy his liver or his brain with drugs before he turns 18.
You need to put yourself in the shoes of a parent watching their kid spiral. Then you'll understand the doubt, the fear, and the pure panic... if you actually give a damn about your child.
Melissa Perez10 said:So, let me get this straight: you aren't going to "force your opinion" on your kids while they're growing up by telling them drugs are bad? Instead, you'll just give them "freedom" to decide for themselves?! Honestly, you sound like a textbook case for the Social Security Administration!
nimblemarlin80 said:Give me a break. You probably aren't even a Driver, so you’re just talking nonsense.
Speed limits on the interstate exist for a reason. Blasting down the highway at 150 mph is reckless and plain dangerous. You’ve got other drivers out there who physically cannot maintain those kinds of speeds, and when you're flying past them like they're standing still, you're asking for a disaster. It's basic logic.
To be blunt: I’ve been there. My old man was behind the wheel of a Chevy Corsa, trying to overtake three massive semi-trucks at about 100 mph. Suddenly, out of nowhere, some absolute lunatic appears in the rearview mirror, flying at what felt like 130 mph. He didn't just pass us; he materialized. I will never forget those twenty seconds of pure adrenaline. We were halfway past that line of rigs when this guy comes barreling toward us like a maniac, and we’re effectively boxed in. There’s nowhere to go. Seeing him slam on his brakes at that speed looked nothing short of catastrophic. A Corsa isn't built to hit 150, let alone deal with someone driving like they have a death wish. Most cars—and honestly, most drivers—simply aren't capable of handling that kind of insanity.
I honestly have no idea how we managed to pull through to this point.
People driving like maniacs on the interstate—even if they're practically handcuffed to the wheel—are a menace. 🙄 I’d strip his license, impound the car, and throw him straight in jail. There’s no other way to handle it. He had my sister sitting right there in the backseat with her two-month-old baby. Absolute madness.
So you'd just stand there making sure the kid's shoelaces are tied perfectly while everything else goes to hell. 😬
Laura Mendoza said:It isn't about fear; it's simply a fact that I am not one! Although, regarding these topics, I could easily fall into that category. Everything feels so chaotic "today" that it seems like I'm stuck living in the past, back when things actually made sense—and I'm only 20, for heaven's sake.
Laura Mendoza said:Look, let’s be real... I think it’s honestly twisted to have someone giving advice to a seventeen-year-old about what they should be using. Telling them that the drug itself isn't the problem—that it's just the people using it, or claiming everything is fine as long as it's "moderate"—is just pure nonsense.
I'm not denying that there are certain individuals who manage to pull it off, and sure, maybe for them it works. But on a broader scale, defending this stuff or coaching kids on how to use it is wrong. Instead of handing out tips, we should be showing them that there are a million better ways to experience life than turning to drugs.👎
I'm not saying there aren't individuals who manage to pull it off—fine, let them—but globally speaking, defending this or trying to advise someone about it is a mistake. Instead of doing that, we should be showing them the million other better things they can try in this world besides drugs...👎
Laura Mendoza said:Don't come at me with talk about comparisons or being conservative, because I am definitely not a dinosaur. However, anyone who genuinely believes they’ll "just try it once" or "just take it one time" is an absolute idiot. Honestly, how many people do you personally know who claimed they were just experimenting, only to get hooked? And let’s be clear: I’m not talking about weed or anything relatively mild. If a kid is already entertaining these kinds of ideas and cravings at seventeen because he’s already cycled through everything, what on earth is going to happen to him in a few years?
Great, let's get this show on the road! $83Just making sure I don't head in the wrong direction.
And what if I just sent interceptors his way? Honestly, looking at the specifics, I once dealt with a massive wreck because some idiot was flying through a curve at a hundred miles per hour. Of course, he drifted right into my lane and totaled my car—I wasn't even at fault. People like that need a serious reality check, not some polite little advice session.
dustypilot22 said:For instance, we have someone right here claiming they're going to jump off a balcony.
How exactly are we supposed to help them?
dustypilot22 said:I actually caught that mistake immediately, but I decided to sit back and see how everyone on the forum would react first. 👍
I'll have to refine my final stance on this matter down the road.
Maybe someday...
In a delta state of consciousness... 😁
Keith James812 said:Look, it's absolutely against the law, and frankly, I still can't wrap my head around how this forum has devolved into such a mess... I've been posting here for years and I have never seen anything quite this twisted: minors on an American message board. You've got moderators giving them advice on how to take drugs so they won't "feel any side effects," telling them to just "enjoy the ride," and even bragging about how much stuff they've handed out to other users... meanwhile, the poor souls who actually try to warn them about the law, their own life experiences, or the plain fact that drugs destroy lives get mocked by these kids. They get called "uncool" or outdated losers for being responsible. I seriously thought about just walking away from this thread entirely, but you know what? I'm fed up with seeing sane people back down just because some idiots are running the show. Then everyone acts surprised when parents are too terrified to let their kids go to school, the mall, or a club without worrying they'll run into some "cool" little street dealer... Drugs are everywhere because we basically let them be, and that is a pathetic reality.

Sam Smith3 said:Look, you can pick up heptane anywhere you want; anyone can get their hands on it. Isn't that essentially legalization? It's perfectly legal...
And don't even get me started on all the other prescription pills out there—all totally legal...
😉
Dammit, if people actually knew which substances they could just get legally with a standard prescription without all the extra hassle... nobody would be wasting massive amounts of money unnecessarily... lol..
dustypilot22 said:Sam Smith3 As specified by:
Well, you can find heptane just about anywhere if you know where to look. Since anyone can pick it up without any hassle, doesn't that basically make it legal? It’s right there in plain sight, perfectly legal...
As for the other pills, I won't even get into it—everything is completely legal.
😉
I’m all for legalization. Don't you think it's about time we moved toward a more sensible approach? Everything..
Everyone Dammit, what a mess...
Everything that simply cannot be stopped—except, perhaps, for those things that stand in direct opposition to what comes next.
Honor your mother and father, and you might just find that life treats you well for a long, long time.
Don't kill the vibe.
Don't go making any wrong turns.
Don't steal.
Let’s make sure we aren't out there sharing false testimonies, shall we?
Don't go looking to be the best man at someone else's wedding if you aren't ready for the commitment. Isn't it better to just stay focused on your own path?
He doesn't have any interest in taking things that don't belong to him. Why would he bother?
