Tampons in Women's Health ·
I mean, I can't always get it positioned perfectly either, but I try my best.
You seriously have to shove it in at least half a finger's width along with the tampon to make sure it actually stays put.

It also drives me crazy when it's not seated right; I can feel it shifting while I'm walking or sitting, and honestly, it can even hurt.

Whatever. I guess you just have to put in a little more effort and be patient when you're putting it in, and then everything should be fine.
How do I learn to embrace who I really am? in Psychology ·
Douglas King9 said:Hmm. I have a feeling it’s just not going to happen for me.
I'm 21—yeah, I know, I'm young—but I've always been mature. Maybe too much, actually. I overanalyze everything, constantly digging for depth, and because I can't even wrap my head around accepting myself as I am, well, I obviously can't expect anyone else to do it.
Everything feels worse lately, and honestly? I'm just miserable being stuck with myself.

funny.
I get it.
..I guess maybe you're just forcing this guilt on yourself for reasons you don't even understand, and it's eating at you...
but you gotta realize everyone messes up, and those people judging you—not just you, but everyone in general—are just a bunch of losers and insecure wrecks... so just love yourself and step on them whenever they try to push your buttons.. or better yet.. just ignore them... roll your eyes, sigh, and walk away.. just like I do.. haha..... 🙂

trust me... whoever's actually gonna love you will do it regardless of anything..
and that's what real acceptance is... accepting someone despite their flaws because, seriously.. who's perfect???...
and the ones who won't..
wait.. do you even actually need them?

hello.... do you have any idea how many people are out there?...

It worked perfectly for me, so why on earth wouldn't it work for her?🤷

Total nonsense.
I think you're just messing with a poor girl.

George Smith2 said:Look, I can relate to quite a few things being said here—well, everything except the diet stuff. My dad is an absolute saint, truly, but other things just... they broke me. It was a mess. We're talking deep sadness, depression, clinical anxiety, the whole depressing spectrum...

I wasn't interested in pills or any of that nonsense. In my head, "brain chemistry" medication was just something for sixteen-year-olds trying to act cool at parties, so I completely brushed off anything involving a psychiatric prescription.

I managed to grind through half a year of college. My grades were stellar, though I’ll admit I skipped class constantly because I stay up way too late—and if I don't get to sleep, I just sit there wallowing until I wake up looking like a total monster the next morning. Every now and then, I’d treat myself to some sort of "human interaction" just to keep my head above water until I could actually finish my degree.

Anyway, at one point I just told myself—"Alright, kid, pull it together however you can." So, armed with a useless degree, I packed up and moved to a different city for three months to work as a waitress—something I had never done before, and frankly, I always thought service work was the absolute bottom of the barrel—in a Go-go club. 😲
Night shifts mean no time for crying; during the day, you're either sleeping or out shopping because you're flush with cash.
And let me tell you, the money was incredible.
The crowd was... well, it was definitely different from what I grew up with. But anything new and strange is inherently fascinating and keeps your mind occupied, whether it's good or bad... the main thing is that you aren't dwelling on the things you shouldn't be thinking about.
For those three months, I lived like royalty. I felt great; that massive change of scenery was exactly what I needed.
Honestly? Best move of the year.

I would never dream of working in a dive bar. But if you want fast cash, a way to drown out the depression, a confidence boost, and a shot of adrenaline to jumpstart your life —go wait tables in a Go-go club.
And if you find a classy spot, man, my place was top-tier—the kind of place that's hard to find. If you manage to land a gig like that, just go for it; don't overthink it. You need to be fit—muscle, maybe a little tone—because in most other jobs, people might just touch you, but here, it's part of the gig. For someone in my position, the last thing I needed was some soul-crushing office job or something mind-numbingly boring.
Just go stack that cash while the girls are dancing 👍

I'm doing great now. Sure, there are better days and worse days, but I've pushed all that baggage aside and put enjoyment and novelty front and center in my life.
Everything else... none of that matters. What mattered was finding myself again and making sure I was okay. Once you handle that, everything else falls into place easily.
Good luck😘

Michelle Cook83 said:Maybe you should just shut up and leave the girl alone. If you don't actually have any decent advice to offer, then honestly, just get lost from this thread!

And what kind of "decent advice" am I supposed to give her right now, oh wise one?...

Just use your brain for a second..

Could anyone here realistically tell her:
"Well, why don't you just have a kid?... Then you'll realize it's not as easy as you think..."

Or should I just tell her:
"Look, honey... why don't you just pierce your own uterus with a sewing needle so everyone else can be happy.."

Right, Lawrence Wells... what's the "normal" advice for a girl who literally only wants to know how much an abortion costs... without looking at the reality of the situation?

silverpuma10 said:If you think I’m some kind of slut, you’re dead wrong! I’ve been with my boyfriend since I was 16, and he’s literally the only guy I’ve slept with in these last two years. So maybe watch your mouth before you say stuff like that! 😠

That’s still not enough for me to feel bad for you, I guess.

I'm not judging you.

Look, sorry, but I just can't bring myself to feel bad for you. 😢
I just feel bad for that poor kid you treated so cruelly and immaturely.
And that's your kid, I guess.
I don't even want to think about what someone like you would be capable of doing to my kid.
Or anyone else's, I guess.
That’s exactly why I just can't bring myself to feel any empathy for people like that. I guess it's just not in me.
I mean, what's even the point? It's all pretty pointless, I guess.

At the end of the day... if you can actually call yourself a decent person... you gotta truly accept yourself for who you are. Like, you can't be walking around thinking you're some kind of trash, and you definitely need to be able to look your own parents in the eye without feeling like a total loser.
If she actually went through with having that kid... she wouldn't be crawling all over internet forums begging for help. I guess.

I guess you should maybe just reach out to your mom? Just saying.
Or for the guy?
So I guess you guys actually stuck it out for two years together after all.

I'm a girl too, I guess.
I guess I get what kind of burden that is.
I mean, I guess there’s a reason God gave women higher intelligence. Maybe.
I guess you get what I'm saying.

Hey there!

Morgan Torres said:Look, I’m not trying to lecture you—you’re young, you already admitted that much—but why are you even messing around with adult stuff? Is it really that hard to just use a condom?
I’m not trying to act like your parent or anything, I’m just asking why you ended up pregnant in the first place.

Ugh... that's one of those logic loops that us cold, heartless people just can't wrap our heads around.

Like... imagine some girl is telling you all about her life with her boyfriend.
And she’s like:
"We hooked up in a bathroom yesterday... in public... then once in a park... oh, we even did it at McDonald's... blah blah blah... then I flew to Vienna and slept with five guys I met for the first time ever, but they were honestly so cute."
And then you ask her:
"Wait, what about protection?... Are you using it?"
And she just looks at you all confident and goes:
"Nah... I don't give a damn..."

Then suddenly, she calls you crying her eyes out saying she's pregnant and has to go get an abortion tomorrow, acting like it totally happened by accident.

So... how are you supposed to have any empathy for someone like that?
I seriously wish someone could teach me how to feel for people like this, because I honestly just don't get it. 😢
