Zaba fan possibilities in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Just a quick heads-up, since I don't think all the staff at Zaba know this themselves:

If you look at the Zaba fan or the "All-in-One" packages, it might seem like there aren't any extra fees for withdrawing cash from JPMorgan Chase ATMs in Italy—or any of the other countries on their list.

But honestly, that's not really the case. If you're using a EUR Visa Electron card linked to one of those foreign currency accounts, they'll hit you with a commission fee.

The only way to avoid that specific fee is by using a debit card tied to a US dollar checking account, but even then, they make their money back on the conversion rate, which is just their standard retail rate.

It was pretty strange, actually—when I asked at the branch in downtown Chicago on Jury's street, the teller didn't seem to grasp my question at all. She almost "politely" brushed me off, acting like it wasn't her problem.

I asked if she could grab someone more experienced, and while her colleague initially insisted it wasn't possible, after double-checking, she did confirm that, unfortunately, my suspicion was right.

Just a quick heads-up here, because I don't think all the staff at JPMorgan Chase actually know this:

If you're looking at the standard banking packages, it might seem like there aren't any extra fees when you withdraw cash abroad using JPMorgan Chase ATMs in Italy or other countries on their list. It looks pretty seamless on paper.

But, I guess it’s not quite that simple. If you have a foreign currency account included in your package and try to pull cash out with a Visa Electron card from that account, they'll hit you with a commission fee.

The only way to avoid that specific fee is by using a debit card linked to a US dollar checking account, but even then, they make their money on the conversion rate—they basically use their own retail exchange rate for the transaction.

It was honestly a bit strange; when I went into the branch in New York City on Jeffersonian, the teller didn't really grasp what I was asking. She was almost "politely" dismissive, acting like there wasn't much she could do about it.

I asked if someone more experienced could take a look, and her colleague initially insisted it wasn't possible to check, but after digging into it, she eventually confirmed that, unfortunately, it's exactly how it works.

Sinus pressure and congestion: Any advice? in Health ·
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else here deals with similar issues? I'm talking about this constant pressure in my nasal sinuses—basically right in my nose.

It’s this nagging, uncomfortable pressure that feels more or less chronic.

It isn't happening every single second, but it shows up quite frequently enough to be a real nuisance.

The doctors did some imaging on my sinuses and found some slight shadowing in one of them. They prescribed a few different nasal sprays, but honestly, they haven't really done much; there hasn't been any noticeable progress at all.

I have this suspicion that it might actually be linked to my eye muscles or just general eye strain. The discomfort seems to flare up whenever my eyes get tired. You know, like after a long day staring at a computer screen, or being out in the sun without sunglasses and stuff like that. I used to have much worse vision issues, though things have actually improved slightly over time.

I previously tried to correct my vision using these eye exercises—the kind where you strengthen the ocular muscles by blinking rapidly or rolling your eyes in every direction and so on. But I couldn't even get through a single minute of those workouts because the sinus pressure would just spike intensely.

So, if anyone has had any similar experiences, or maybe some insight or information that could help... please feel free to share. 😁
