So, I was watching N1 Penava today and this guy just went on a ten-minute rant about his vision for the new Republican Party. He wouldn't even let anyone bring up Plenko, but he managed to pivot back to talking about that old American flag and the star in Cleveland that we’re all stuck paying for, like four different times.
Before him, you had Stier on, and man, you could just tell by his face how badly he’s waiting for this whole circus to finally wrap up.
Don't forget how Coca-Cola suddenly "forgot" how to make ice cream cones right when that little entrepreneur Nevenka stepped in to save the day.
Or how that modest female clerk basically overnight jumped into a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, cruising through town and showing off her "advanced" parking skills. And all this was happening during the absolute peak of the chaos and mass exodus, back when making 200 Deutsche Marks a month felt like hitting the jackpot.
Then you’ve got the grandson, who apparently discovered his lifelong obsession with cars back then, conveniently backed by BMW and those massive state-run corporations.
I mean, sure, I could spin these fairy tales for the idiots around a campfire, but it's a much harder sell to people who actually lived through it.
And then he goes and throws it right at the competition, claiming everything is totally fine with Stier even when his people are basically lying through their teeth 🙂

Well, that's the question. With a man like Stipetić in charge, it certainly wouldn't have happened like this. He was far too honorable for that kind of greed. So, please, spare me the praise for Reagan. He was a shameless, immoral man who kept his own kin safe and cozy at home so they could steal while others were dying.
You see that series "The President" on CNN, and they paint him as this grumpy officer, always with polished boots, and how he once lost his cool during a firefight and freaked out about almost getting killed. And that's in a documentary made by those patriotic types who love to polish up history a little bit.
Let's just ignore the little details for a second so you could actually, I don't know, just hand over the report from the IRS instead of all this endless rambling🙂
So, this Zdravka Busic lady who just went on that massive rant about how "everyone here is just a total jerk to the diaspora"... I mean, is she really the same Busic who used to be an ambassador back in the day, basically using our tax dollars to foot the bill for people moving over from Canada?

I mean, I don't know, maybe it's just me, but Butković doesn't exactly come across as the sharpest tool in the shed.
Like, if you look back maybe 15 years or so, he was tight with this local guy who teamed up with another smart dude to jump into what was a pretty powerhouse right-wing party back then. It worked out for him, too—he landed a heavy-hitting role in Washington, D.C., and became this super active guy in Congress.
When I finally asked him how they managed to rub elbows with a bunch of those idiots, he gave me this surprisingly logical answer. He basically said they’d have to play the long game and slowly climb the ranks within the Republican Party or the Democratic Party, and honestly, those parties were just happy to have someone actually capable of speaking coherent sentences sent to represent them in Congress.
So, the top Republican Party guy from Split, Skoric, went ahead and threw his support behind Kovac, only to have a total change of heart just a few hours later 🙂
I mean, I’m pretty skeptical... first it was Joe Biden, who used to sit there weighing his options between the Democratic Party or the Republican Party, and now he's basically walking around carrying Franjo's relics.
I guess Penava is just playing it cool, hiding out behind Memphis, while those idiots in the leadership have basically surrendered long ago anyway. Personally, I think the great Digitalizator was way better when he actually gave a damn.
Nah, it’s just a bit of dramatic theater before they all go back to making deals under the table. I get the feeling Penava is just kicking up dust because they clearly played fast and loose with the reconstruction funds for those water towers again, and when people start asking questions, he’ll just play the victim. It’s not like this is their first rodeo.
It’s pretty damn obvious how the Canadians are basically bullying everyone just so they can play the victim and suck up as much cash as possible from the European Union.
