There’s this strange film from '76—it was released here as Streetwalker starring Joe Dalesandar and directed by Valerian Borowczyk. Has anyone actually seen it?
It’s been a long time since I watched it, but certain scenes were quite provocative. A women's drama with touches of erotica...

I mean, if someone tells you your nose is growing like Quincy's in a few years, you might just stare at them blankly—unless, of course, you've heard every cliché under the sun already. Every book teaches you something, I suppose... even if it's subtle.

Hopefully it's back up soon :-)

Betty Chase4 said:It was the exact same story for me... I’d catch it back then (I think it aired right before the main movie) during those Thursday nights on Vox... right when my dad had just set up the satellite dish...
To be honest, those Emanuelle films were better than 90% of the porn produced in the US...🙏

I actually first signed up for this site back on October 24, 1999. It looked nothing like this back then—way smaller, maybe five subreddits at most. People mostly hung out in two sections, one called "Midnight Warriors" and some other one I can't even remember. There weren't any moderators either, so everyone was constantly whining, "Give us some mods!"... we were probably only about twenty members total.
Back then, I actually found the URL by accident while flipping through a print edition of the internet monitor...

I mean, I’m sitting here in bed reading a book I borrowed from the local library, so I honestly don't have much to add to the debate...

On top of that, they used to do these little flashcard drills at school and oral quizzes... just very straightforward stuff
But this year, things have shifted a bit—she’s been designing more interactive tasks that need to be completed while they're actually reading through the book, which I honestly think is a much better approach
As for the reading itself, my biggest hurdle is really just the constant coaxing to get him to sit down and focus... I've even tried mapping out a schedule, calculating roughly how many days he'll need to finish, and then adding a little extra buffer time just to be safe
If we're tackling something a bit more dense—like The Complexity of Being right now (which is quite a mouthful given all those old-fashioned expressions and terms that fly right over their heads)—I find it helpful to have him retell the story to me in his own words

Now I have this annoying habit where I copy everything I write before I even touch the reply button. Just in case I get booted, so I can just paste it back in later.
But it isn't even a real logout, because if I just hit refresh, it brings me right back to the forum and magically logs me back in. That's the weird part.
It’s like the forum has some kind of glitchy login timeout where it momentarily forgets I'm even signed in, then suddenly remembers. 🙂

I know it might be a bit more confusing for Spock types to follow, but it'll make things way easier for Americans to read.
Thanks!👍
